The boy was in the lab. He looked up as he saw someone just outside
the door. "Err hello...what happened to your Cyndaquil?" He asked
in concern. Elm had headed to the fields to get Tiger's Cyndaquil
from the fire Pokemon he always hang out with. The boy examined the
Pokemon from where he stood,
Mel entered the lab around the same time, yelling and leaping back
when the same boy from earlier practically kicked open the door.
"Arceus!" She yelled, clutching Oshawott to her chest.
"Er.. I'll explain it now. In fact, I've brought Blaze here to get
him checked on. Can I see Professor Elm? I found this Cyndaquil
with some grunts from something called Team Flare. They were
attacking him constantly with water types, waiting for something to
happen. I decided to rescue him, and Blaze has been crying ever
since." Victor explained in a rush.
Blaze looked at Tiger's Cyndaquil, and wiped off a tear with his
small paws.
"Elm is in the fields he should be back in a moment" the boy-Tiger-
said softly, and blinked. "He's grabbing a Pokemon, but it
shouldn't take to long. If you're here for a starter he left a few
Pokemon on the table there" he said, and pointed to a table nearby.
He'd helped Elm before in the lab when new trainers began their
journeys so he was able to help these trainers get their starters.
"Have you tried giving your Cyndaquil something spicy to eat?"
Tiger asked kindly, and looked up as Cyndaquil ran back into the
lab. The fire Pokemon jumped onto Tiger's shoulder and looked over
to Blaze. He nodded a greeting and laughed when Elm patted off a
flame.
"Tiger next time you need Cyndaquil. You're getting him" the
professor sighed. "He was breaking up a fight" he mumbled and
looked around "oh hello." He said greeting the new trainers.
"I don’t think I need a starter, since Cyndaquil seems to be a
Johto one and I caught him." Victor said, taking out Blaze's
Pokeball. "I'll be more than happy to have him. I actually didn’t
try out spicy berries since I didn’t have them. I'll buy some for
him first thing after this."
Blaze was now quiet, and looked at his own bandages woefully.
"Ah, Professor Elm! My name is Roy, and I have a message for you
from Clair." Roy began. "There is a danger looming above New Bark
Town. I'm just not sure what it exactly is..." Roy sighed, his
foresight not developed well enough to see past the tragedy to what
caused it.
Tiger nodded, and looked through his bag. He pulled out a red
colored cookie "ha I still have one" he began to himself, and
glared at Cyndaquil, who tried to take it. He then handed it to
Blaze "it's made from red Apricorn. It will be very spicy, but
Cyndaquil loves these maybe you will to" he said gently to the
other Cyndaquil.
"Danger in NewBark? What kind?" Elm asked quietly. Tiger glanced
over as he heard, he knew exactly what was about to happen, but he
didn't want to alert anyone that he knew what was going to
happen.
"Something involving a giant fire. I don't know who or what will
cause this, but it will happen." Roy sent out his Dratini
and stated, "No matter how powerful of a threat it is, Dratini and
I will do our best to help lower the catastrophic damage."
"Catastrophic damage? Count me in to help." Mel said, crossing her
arms. If anything, she was going to be the one to make her cousins
lives hell, not some giant fire. Oshawott mimicked her.
Blaze accepted the cookie from Tiger and nodded a thanks. Victor
took out a handkerchief and wiped his Cyndaquil's tears.
"Hey, we'll be a great team, Blaze." Victor said to Blaze to calm
him down. Blaze nodded.
"What's going to happen?" The boy asked after hearing the new piece
of News.
Volt and Shine looked positively shocked, as it was their pastime
to make conspiracy theories on how the universe will be destroyed
and we’re afraid that one of them is coming true.
"Is my conspiracy theory coming true?" Volt asked with a
look of innocent Shock.
"No clue. Apparently, this sort of thing has been happening all
around the region. My hometown's lucky they weren't targeted." Roy
stretched a bit, thankful that whoever or whatever was doing this
hadn't struck Blackthorn earlier.
"I'm sure whatever will happen the citizens of the town will be
safe" Elm said kindly. "After all we have a few strong trainers
right Tiger?...Tiger?" Elm asked and looked around he noticed the
door shutting quietly as Tiger had left.
Tiger had sneaked out of the lab with Cyndaquil. The trainer then
headed toward a hidden part of the town whic was next to the river
to Kanto, and looked up to the sky. The figure was getting closer.
"I have to do something...but if I do I'm risking being spotted..."
He said lowly, and looked back to the lab.
Cyndaquil growled as he saw the figure "Ho-Oh knows we're here,
but he doesn't know we have the silver wing..." the Pokemon
said lowly.
"Not yet he doesn't....but they might" he sighed, and grasped the
charm on his necklace. The figure then went and shot off a sacred
fire hitting a few trees. "So it begins..."
Volt smelled Fire, which he knew quite well thanks to training with
various Fire types, and went outside to investigate. Shine
followed.
"Wait.." Victor said with Blaze in his hand and looked at the door
out of which Volt and Shine had gone.
Seeing the fire out of the corner of his eye, Roy rushed outside.
"...so it's begun." His Dratini followed him out of the lab. "We
won't be able to do a lot of damage starting weak... so use Draco
Meteor!"
Dratini nodded, and summoned meteors to hit the mysterious figure.
Shine looked at the other Dratini. "You don’t want to increase
the fire..." The shiny said softly and used rain dance to
extinguish the fire on the trees.
Victor walked outside with Cyndaquil and saw the rain and Fire.
The figure was hit by the Draco meteor. It then screeched, and flew
closer to the town, using a flamethrower. The Pokemon was now more
viewable. It was a Ho-Oh, and the legend was attacking the city.
Tiger growled, and looked at his Cyndaquil, the Pokemon jumped off
Tiger's shoulder, and used a swift on the Ho-Oh. Hitting the Ho-Oh
in the eyes and causing it to screech. The Ho-Oh then growled at
the rain and screeched
Now's a good chance...the clouds can hide Lugia. Though how will
I summon him with is many trainers about Tiger thought sharply.
I man yeah Ho-Oh is outnumbered, but they aren't nearly as many
as the Pokemon back in the forest... he thought with a sigh.
We need Lugia's help...
Shine, carry Volt in the air, and Volt use Volt Tackle on that
bird!" Victor commanded, as he only vaguely knew that Ho-oh was a
legendary,
Shine levitated in the air with Volt till they were at a reasonable
distance from Ho-Oh, and Volt launched himself using Volt Tackle,
aiming for Ho-oh's back.
