Mason finished his piece and sat in silence due to the tension. He
kept looking back and forth between everyone present and
sighed.
Paisley returned about an hour later wearing an oversized jumpsuit
and fashionable ankle boots, both better for combat than her
previous outfit. She had multiple shopping bags in her hands as
well. She took what was left of the hog and ate it after dropping
her bags down. Mason watched her as she did so, noticing she was
currently sporting a very neutral mood though still seemed
extremely irritable.
Mason snapped his neck towards to Drew. "Don't." he whispered
though loud enough for Paisley to hear. "Don't what, Mason?"
Paisley asked, sneering down at the two, setting down her bags. She
then turned back to Will who was still injured.
"I guess no one's gonna care about the fact that I dragged this boy
across a forest and no one's treated his wound while I was gone for
nearly 2 hours. I'm actually surprised that he hasn't bled out
yet."
Will finds two twigs, and tries to use them to pull the bullet out
of his leg. He feels the bullet moves towards the wound, but it
remains stuck in his leg. He tosses the twigs aside, and continues
to wait for somebody to treat his wound.
"Um, were gonna probably try and find a way out of the country to
start, just in case they find us. Then, we'll have to start
preparing for war," Will says in a very casual tone, pain still in
his voice. "And, is there a way for you to use electricity to get
his bullet out of my leg?"
"Well, not really, I'd have to magnetize some copper and steel, and
that's a risky operation." Luke looked at Will, then looks at the
wound. "Maybe someone could figure out a way to do it?"
Will coughs out a little bit of blood. "I don't care how risk it
is. The bullet was copper coated, so you can magnetism it out can't
you?" He almost starts to shout.
"Best I can do is turn it to dust and change the electron count in
the atoms to benefit you." Luke said, taking into consideration it
would probably hurt Will immensely.
"Okay, brace yourself." Luke placed his hands above the wound,
sending out electricity to eat away the bullet, adding ions to the
atoms to give Will more energy. "Now we just need someone to
cauterize the wound."
"I don't think anyone here is trained in the medical field, so
until I can find a doctor, I'll just have to try and make a
poultice to help suck the lead out of the blood." Will takes his
bloody shirt, and ties it over the wound.
"Scientifically speaking, if those electrons are charged enough,
the lead won't bother you." Luke pointed out. "Making an atom
positively or negatively charged makes all the difference. It
allows chemical reactions that lead to something new."
(Wow, you must enjoy chemistry class)
"Is there any way to turn the lead to a gas? Because I think I'll
take that option." Will says, doubt in his words.
(Not really, I was just forced to listen cuz it was quizzes every
single day.)
"Well, that would require a lot of heat. Something I can't really
produce..." Luke scratched the back of his head. "My bolts are
generally warm, but not hot enough to melt lead."
