"I have a bullet I pulled from his gun back in the school if that
helps." She pulled it out handed it to Mason "we should start
breaking down camp and getting ready to leave. And find something
for food."
Will sees the trees getting denser and denser as he goes further.
He also feels himself more and more confined after each movement
forward. If only they could find me. Then the might be able to
heal my leg and I could have finished this journey by now.
Paisley groaned at Drew's statement, not because she was upset but
because the fact Will was gone again. She was known for holding
grudges, though she acted indifferent towards her at the
moemnt.
Mason sighed at this and shook his head nervously before turning to
Trinity.
"It might be a long shot but I can -- try." he mumbled, taking the
bullet gently.
He encapsulated the bullet in his hands and focused on his hands
with a deep exhale. A few moments later, he sharply inhaled and
shut his eyes, receiving a Premonition.
In his Premonition, he sees the general area of where Will is, not
too far out from a nearby city. He also sees his wound and assumes
he eventually will bleed out from it. He snaps his eyes open and
blinks a few times to process what he saw. "He's hurt, I know that
for sure... but I couldn't figure out where he was exactly."
Sanaki nodded. "Severely? Or minor? Because if it's the latter, we
can go without him. I'm honestly not sure why he's here. In the
league." She said, being rather blunt as she frowned.
Nick rolled her eyes at Paisley, then turned to Mason. "Well, thank
you for doing your best. We each need to do so, yeah?"
Will sees the dim lights of a small city, and walks towards them.
He reaches the edge of the forest before he passes out from blood
loss, and falls forward.
(Never mind what I said about going to bed, I still have time)
"I honestly can't tell but it'll get to a point to where he'll
bleed out if we don't find him." Mason explained.
"Like it or not, Will is a part of the League and a part of this
group." Paisley snapped at Sanaki. "Sure he's an absolute handful,
but we can't just abandon the kid. Especially if he's hurt."
"Well... He's the one that wandered off on his own..." Mason
retorted, siding with Sanaki due to his particular disliking of the
boy.
Will regains conscious, and looks around the place. Trees behind
him, and civilization in front of him. He uses his arms to try and
drag himself forward into the small city, but he moves nowhere.
I would think that someone would've seen me by now. I mean, who
doesn't notice when somebody passes out from loss of blood.
Mason took a few steps back from the conversation once things
became more heated, attempting to drown out the resentment and
aggression expelling itself from everyone.
Paisley rolled her eyes. "Yeah, so what? We've all done
things here that somehow effected one of us or everyone in the
group. Who here killed the superintendent and got us into
this mess in the first place?" she shouted, ignoring Drew. "You
know what... forget it." she concluded, her voice shaky due to her
anger and she walked off.
Will starts seeing extreme hilucinations. He sees lots of
chocolates floating around in the sky, and a bunch of giant candy
cane trees. He feels the hallucinations become more complex as he
sees tiny bits of candy powder floating in the air.
Mason sighed, watching Paisley walk off into the distance. He was
conflicted on whether or not he should go after Paisley as Drew
refused to or help gather food. Shortly thereafter, his rumbling
stomach convinced him to choose the latter.
Paisley continuously mumbled to herself as she walked off. "I'm
getting my new outfit..." she told herself, walking towards a city
as posted signs allowed her to get a general idea of where she was.
After walking for about 20 minutes and she grew nearer to the city,
she began to notice a trail of drops of blood. She then followed
the blood and discovered Will, causing her to roll her eyes.
"So why did you act crazy and run off this time? I've lost count of
how many times you've acted like a mangy monkey and turned into
Godzilla." She noticed something hadn't been completely right with
him and shook her head.
He reacts with surprise. "Why I'm glad you asked. For you see, I
engaged some of the troops in combat, and may or may not have
received a bullet to the hand and the leg, also having my pistols
confiscated and me being left to die in the woods" will feels his
leg, and sees that the blood is turning a silvery color from the
lead in the bullets.
Paisley glares down at Will with a blank face otherwise. "Well,
aren't you smart?" she mocked. She then sighed and took a couple of
steps back, deciding to lift the kid up with her Telekinetic
abilities. "I can get you back to the others, but you have to
promise me that you're not gonna act like an idiot." she
negotiated.
"Um, well, you see, do the others have a doctorate or higher degree
in the medical field?" Will wonders why they were taking him back
to the others, when there was a hospital right here in the city.
Sanaki softly hummed a tune as she saw a wild hog and killed it
with flames, smiling in content as she lifted it up and over her
shoulders. Pride filled her as she began to walk back.
"If you're suggesting I take you to the hospital, I think that's
the dumbest idea literally anyone has even told me." Paisley told
him. "In case you are losing too much blood and oxygen to your
brain and can't remember, we're sort of on the run from the
officials at our school. I'm pretty sure if we admit you to the
hospital, they'll end up tracking you down and eventually finding
us." she theorized. "I'm sure Sanaki can use a spell or something
to fix it up."
Mason followed Sanaki silently, not necessarily feeding her pride
but acknowledged it with a smile as he was able to pick it up.
Will thinks about it. "If I go back, and they can't help my
condition, I'm coming back here and requesting medical aid under a
false name, got it" He thinks about how likely it would be that
anyone would know how to pull out a bullet from a wound.
"Fine." she answered shortly, picking Will up on putting him on her
back, making him light by the use of her Telekinesis. She walked
back to the camp, still annoyed though and now additionally upset
because she hadn't been able to buy a new outfit.
Will sits down with his back against a tree, and starts untying his
makeshift splint. He hopes that they can heal the wounds and remove
the bullets and traces of lead from his system.
