I give it tentative support. If huntail and gorebyss were used it'd definitely give some users pause as those 2 are used for the mega stone trade. If you can only trade for one black key per month (or every other month) with Leah, that may be enough to keep the value high while still giving access to non gem cauldron players.

I dont support shinies being required for the trade. A counter point being if you get the gems there are trade threads where people are willing to brew and give you the items that drop. However that relies heavily on community support and many players like independence.

I also like Argentis' idea of black key drop through a restricted rumble. Either way there'd be ways to implement this without making the keys as worthless as the boxes. And counterpoint, the boxes could also be time and amount limited from Leah if the key becomes available.

I do agree with huntail and gorebyss being part of it, as for shinies I put them in the suggestion to make the keys a little harder as a goal, but thinking about it now I do agree it's probably too much, I have to say I love your idea of the boxes being available as well as the keys.

i think this isnt neccessary anymore...since boiling megastones got a lot easier and can be done twice as often (also dragon gems decreased in value).

Therefore the goal of this suggestion kinda is already reached...the maps can be bought for less than 400k each now often(there kinda is no logical reason black keys getting sold for more, since the maps are the best things you can get from black boxes).

Side thought: Hear me out: What if Black Keys and Black Boxes become exclusive to Leah Trades? Then the Platinum/Silver box/key combo could be revived and used in the gem cauldron as a (much lower than the black box) random drop from mega stone brewing and drop any summon item/map or something but no junk?

Back on topic: Also, @Zarkesh, even if boiling is now easier and dragon gems have gone down in price, neither of these things have gone down in demand. Keys are more expensive as the only avenue of getting them is still other players looking for a profit and boiling a mega stone in the cauldron. Even at 20kpd each dragon gem that's around 100k, plus the other gems and the time it takes to brew. Mega stones have stayed around 200kpd for awhile now. Black Boxes are devalued by being readily enough available through Leah with no restrictions. But the keys have only the cauldron.

I still think, for the sake of accessibility (without removing effort), Black keys should stock with Leah. And also that there should be restrictions on how many trades can be made for the high tier Leah items per week/month/whatever but not per day
