Squirtle Pail's Function
Forum-Index → Bug Reports → Resolved → Squirtle Pail's FunctionThe general issue is that when using a mouse to click with the Squirtle Pail, there's about a 50/50 chance at the pail watering your seed. I like to immediately click one seed after another and this is usually the generated result:
*I tried to go a little slower here, and so I got about 2/3s of the whole garden watered without mistakes.
Now, I can attempt to explain the bug. I don't know anything about coding so forgive me for the lack of understanding but I will do my best. When you plant a seed, you use the normal cursor, and when the seed is planted and you hover over it, your cursor becomes a "Link Select" cursor over the clickable rectangle. Here's the start of the problem: for some reason, that clickable rectangle and using the watering can seem to really cause an issue. If you were to click-and-drag your "Link Select" cursor even a micrometer, it becomes a normal cursor, and the watering can no longer functions when you end your mouse-click (even if you do not go outside the clickable rectangle). I like to click fast to water my seeds, so this can lead to tiny, accidental click & drags of the cursor. Sometimes I even have to stop and click on a seed 2-4 times to get the watering can to work. This can get a little irritating. xD
Things I have tried:
Zooming in/out. This isn't a fix for me. I seem to have a better chance at watering the seeds whilst zoomed out, but I think that is because I am more used to the spacing between those (which means it's a personal taste and others may have the opposing effect).
Touch screen. My first monitor is a touch screen, and so I tap on the seeds to water them which gives me a 100% success ratio. The issue with this is that not everyone has a touch screen. :(
but if it helps, it doesn't take that long for your pail to upgrade to the wailmer pail, which waters a full row. I think it took me less than a day to get the new pail, and since it's such an early reward, you'll probably get it before the issues with the squirtle pail get to be too much.
If you can read this, you know how to read.
