"We can go to the town, if you want. I always come here because it
takes a while to adjust to the oddness of it all sometimes for
people. The town... well, the Artists like impressing the newbies
occasionally, and I've had a few faint before." Solia replies.
Nyx cracks open one of her eyes and looks over at the town they
were talking about. She then closes her eye again.Seems
cozy. She thinks to herself with a small smile. This should be
fun.
Troye grinned and stood up. "Then let's go to town. I'm awfully
hungry..." He said. Lise got up and rolled her eyes. "When are you
not?" She asked. He just shrugged and Lise chuckled. Town should be
interesting.
Keeshe and Sunbreak were walking alongside each other, talking.
Most people would be creeped out when they would talk with a
strange horse with picture of comet on its flank but Keeshe seen
far more stranger things.. Subreaks world was very interesting and
so she listen to her every word but sometimes it was hard to
understand Sunbreak since she spoke too quickly..
As soon as they pass the first building a fox-like creature with a
partially-invisible ferret-like animal floating above her shoulder
lopes across in front of them, every step she takes leaving ghostly
blue paw prints that fade after a few seconds. The ferret pauses,
glancing at them, her dark red eyes glittering mischievously. She
opens her mouth and as she speaks, a substance that seems like very
real and red blood comes out of her translucent maw. "N-n-newbies?
I d-d-didn't know we h-have newbies." She says, her voice oddly
distorted and almost glitchy.
Nyx blinks a few times and tilts her head in curiosity.Well I
didn't expect to see this. She thinks to herself but stays
quiet, letting the others in the group react to the ferret.
Troye and Lise walked together, and Troye saw Lise's eyes sparkle,
and he smiled. She always liked a good adventure. When they
approached the ferret Troye blinked and Lise just eyed it
curiously. Troye walked up to it and smiled. "Why hello there!" He
said cheerily and Lise sighed. She agreed with Nyx, but Troye
always tried to be friendly, which sometimes landed him in trouble.
But that was why she was there after all.
The ferret shows her fangs in a try for a smile, but her fangs look
more suited for a wolf than a small, cute mammal, and the blood
still leaks between them and stains them. "H-hello, darling." She
says in her distorted voice. "Y-y-you look sweet, I-I wonder how
your b-b-blood tastes?"
Lise edged a little closer to Troye and Troye's smile faltered a
little, but nevertheless he tried to look past what the ferret
said. "Oh um... I'm not sure how it tastes, but I'm sure there are
a lot of things that taste better than my um blood." He said.
Nyx closed her eyes and used this time to actually sleep a little
bit.Well this place is definitely interesting. You would have
liked it Lithar. Was her last thought.
The fox-like creature trots up again, looking unamused, and picks
up the ghostly ferret by the scruff.
"H-hey! I-I-I was kidding, R-Ritie!" The ferret protests.
"Don't mind her, she's just a little crazy. Cursed to be bound to
Ritie and such. Really harmless, since she can't really touch
people and people can't touch her or anything." Solia explains. "Ki
is a bad example of the ones who live here, she's really the only
exception to the 'Artist only' rule."
Troye chuckled. "Don't worry about it." He said. Lise looked at the
fox, relieved. She looked around at the colorful buildings and then
back at Solia. "Do we live here now?" Lise asked.
"Pretty much, yeah. When your powers start to develop more, your
house will change to match your personality and inclination with
your abilities. Like, that's Amali's." Solia says, pointing to a
cute little cottage with beautiful flowers growing in all sorts of
shapes and sizes in the front. The door is carved with pictures of
trees and bushes, the walls have creeping vines twisted among small
flowers growing on them. A vine that has grown out of the ground is
watering the plants with a tin watering can. "Since she's inclined
towards new growth, flowers, and spring, her house represents
that."
"Fascinating." Troye said quietly, looking at the houses again in a
new light. Lise smiled at him a little. She then looked at Solia
again. "What kind of powers?" She asked.
