This dance, its the most important dance of your life. You meet your life partner here, under a mask. You have to find who moves with your rhythm. This dance happens only once every five years to help match people up. You and your life partner are given a stone the year before, and the stones glow as you get close to each other. The only problem? Some stones do not ever glow. Those that do not glow, are set to be in a life with no love. More often than not, those who have no life with love, leave the city for good, and are never seen.

This story begins one week before the dance. Its forbidden to wear your stones until the night of the dance. Its a sunny day, starting at a cool 70 degrees out, a slight breeze at 9 in the morning.

Rose slowly got up as she looked around. She shook her head as she got ready to shower. She already had an idea of how her day was going to go.

Hunter met up with James to head to the park for a game of Basketball.

Adeline sighed as she got ready. She looked out the window before putting her hair up in a bun.

Lucy woke up to the sun shining through her window. She looked in the mirror and sighed, her hair was completely messed up.



Sean had gotten out of bed and was eating breakfast. He read the newspaper to see if there was any job openings.

Stephanie was just starting to wake up with the radio on and as she got up, she stretched and soon switched to her tennis outfit, "All set but first breakfast", Stephanie said as she headed downstairs.

John woke up from his sleep and look at his schedule for which sports he need to play today, he soon realized that today was his swimming practice, "I thought I was going to do some track and field today but going to the swimming pool to practice my swimming techniques will be fine with me", John said as he turned on the radio and begin to stretch.

Teresa was in the kitchen making breakfast when Grey shuffled down the stairs, holding onto the railing with one hand and rubbing his eye with the other. His glasses lay crooked on his nose as he sat down in loose pajamas. He yawned, and set his chin on the table. "Breakfast will be ready in a moment. After breakfast, you need to head upstairs to get ready to head downtown. We're shopping for outfits, remember?" Teresa said, playing the muffins she had made. Grey groaned but nodded. He ate breakfast, and stood. Teresa smiled as the small boy went upstairs to get ready. She finished as well, and washed the plates.
