My First Lore for Meteor.

Amore and Deimos didn't have a clan. They were cast out for not being with their own breeds but they were still happy in their private little nest. Unbeknownst to them however their nest lay at the base of a then dormant volcano that everyone thought was just a mountain. A loud rumble woke the soon to be parents as the volcano started to erupt. Amore grabbed his pearl and what would soon be their only pearlcatcher together, while Deimos grabbed the two remaining eggs. They flew off quickly but in their haste Deimos dropped one of her eggs. The egg hurled to the ground like a meteor landing in a hot spring created by the very volcano that caused his family to flee once again. Deimos was crushed that she allowed for her child to fall from her claw so she left Amore to fight for the Icewarden as she felt her heart grow as cold as the god himself.

Days passed and the egg continued to incubate in the hot water that had saved the unknowing dragon. A sad little fairy with butterfly wings happened to see the little egg and she decided to take it into her care. With the help of her friends the fairy took the egg to the trees where the hatchling was eventually born. He had a maroon body that matched the volcano, beautiful wings that matched the fairy that became his mother and Thylacine stripes resembling scars for all he had been through as an egg.

As a hatching Meteor guarded the village of the fairies but as he grew they could no longer keep him in their care. The Fairies were running out of food and there certainly wasn't room in their miniature village any longer. Meteor decided he would search for others like him, Dragons that would hopefully allow him to join their family.

Wandering for months Meteor grew stronger but he always remembered the kindness of the fairies. He would help any little creatures that were hurt or in danger giving him many new friends and familiars. Eventually he came upon 2 blue guardians. Agados and Riptide were happy to let another dragon into their growing lair and gave him his own spot to lay safely. Meteor was so happy to finally have a bed that fit him that he slept for days as soon as his head hit the seaweed.

During his time in the water lair Meteor met a lovely tundra dragon, Swoop, he fell in love and had 2 also tundra children. Late at night he awoke to the sound of fluttering wings as Swoop and Buffy flew off. I isn't know what the two did after they left but they came to serve the Tidelord and the Plaguebringer while Shadow stayed with his father.

As he mourned the loss of his family a close ridgeback friend kept him company. She had been cold to him when he first arrived but seeing the guardian who had gone through so much lose even more she couldn't help but warm up a little. Frostbite and Meteor enjoyed each others company having 3 beautiful guardian babies: Pocahontas who went off with her friends to play in an arcane nest. Maleficent eventually went to fight for the Arcanist and Malachite decided to stay with his father.

Riptide's Lore.

Riptide's parents were rejected from there original lairs. They separately roamed until eventually coming upon a nature lair where they met and fell in love. They had 3 eggs together but the runt didn't seem to want to hatch. Lux told Sighan to take it down to the river and let it float away. The egg floated down stream, swirling and spinning, twisting around for almost a day. It almost seemed like the egg was choosing where it wanted to stay. When it finally settled in a riverbed it seemed too good to be true. The mud was squishy and soft but kept it firm in place. The sun warmed the water so thoroughly in the day that it stayed a comfortable temperature at night. Seaweed curled around it in the tide like a blanket cuddling a new born.

The egg felt so comfortable it eventually hatched. Unbeknownst to the new hatchling there had been a small spirit following above the water during the eggs journey. It told the new baby all it had been through as an egg giving him the name Riptide. The new baby swam through the river and splashed in the mud. He rolled in the grass and trampled through flowers discovering everything for the first time. Suddenly his belly started to rumble and he looked at the spirit in confusion. The sprite explained hunger and how to find food as the baby roamed his small riverbank looking for bugs.

As Riptide grew so did a nearby water clan. It grew until it almost reached Riptide's little home. By now the dragon was fully grown and excited to meet someone other that the spirit that had helped him to survive. The leader of the water clan was named Agados. She welcomed Riptide into the lair and he became the new alpha as he was more water dragon than any guardian she had seen before, despite being nature in element.

Riptide met Treasure, a gold winged imperial with a dazzling ruby body. The two dragons bred 3 guardian babies: Wintermane, Telor and Hatter. Wintermane wandered around as a teenager but eventually went to serve the Earthshaker. Telor branched off into a different water clan. Lastly Hatter went with some close friends to live in an arcane nest but still visits his parents here and there. Eventually Treasure and Riptide drifted apart but they remain in the same lair to this day.

Nycola's Lore.

Nycola's parents were 2 of 3 guardians set to protect the elemental pyramids and the secrets within. Auron and Taroth grew close through the many years they guarded together they had 10 children together. Many went to serve the Gods in their own ways but 3 of their children were almost indistinguishable. Magiries and Nycola were exactly alike while their sister Ahraan was quite similar. These three would be chosen to follow in their parents footsteps to protect the tombs of the Gods. Tombs that housed ancient secrets.

One day as Taroth was tending to a new nest of eggs something powerful attacked. This mighty and archaic being fell from the sky and destroyed one of the pyramids in it's wake. An intense battle waged on but alas the other two pyramids were destroyed along with anything growing in the area. The force left as quickly as it had arrived and the 3 protectors were in bad shape.

As the pyramids crumbled with the children in the centre of it all a bright golden light broke through the darkness. The light came from each pyramid and shone straight through the 3 chosen ones giving them their distinct rune patterns. The secrets of the tombs were not stored on their bodies as manuscripts to the God's abilities. These secrets are now passed through the generations and as they no longer have anything to guard the family spread across the globe in order to share the knowledge with anyone worthy.

Magiries now serves the Icewarden. Ahraan is a member of light. Nycola? You know what happened to her. She is right here helping the power grow in this clan.

Stormcloud's Lore.

Stormcloud's mother was Daevas, a demon that was warm hearted. Her father was Frosttongue a Coatl dragon that never missed an opportunity to place a bet or steal everyone's attention. He wasn't around long but Daevas was willing to get to know him, at least for a while. Stormcloud was one of 3 children they had together and the only one with a darker appearance. This caused her to be outcasted as most dragons took one look and assumed she was trouble.

After so long of being treated differently Stormcloud grew bitter towards the clan she had been born in to. Her feelings for them became dark as her heart clouded with annoyance and anger. She decided to leave this nest and venture out to find others that would accept her.

Stormcloud searched high and low trying to find a family that wanted to love her. One day she came across a light nest. The dragons in the nest were so kind and welcoming she was overcome with happiness. Stormcloud felt she could finally be herself again so she started to play with the other hatchlings.

Occasionally Stormcloud would wander off and get up to trouble. Not the bad kind of trouble just the usual mudding around. One day she came across an odd creature that was stuck in the mud, unable to get out. She felt sorry for the thing and gently scooped it out with her gentle wing. Grateful the rescued familiar became friends with the tiny snapper and began following her around.

Stormcloud now lives happily with her new family where she plans to one day have hatchlings of her own.

Svalbard's Lore.

Svalbard was born in a northern mountain cave in Svalbard, Norway. The cave had a wide opening allowing his siblings to see the Northern lights dance across the sky. His father was a nature guardian and his mother was an ice Wildclaw. This was the cave she grew up in but now the ice had started to melt, causing the caverns to fill with chilled water. The new state of the cave caused their children to be water element dragons.

Svalbard, even as an egg, was anxious to move around. One night while the other eggs lay still with their father he was feeling particularly rambunctious. He rolled around and slipped out of the cave. The already small egg toppled down the mountain picking up speed snow and mud until it smashed on a crystallized rock. The force of the hit was enough to destroy the egg but the added elements saved the little one's life.

The small crystal brown dragon woke in a start not knowing his surroundings. Cold and on wobbly legs he crawled and stubbled the rest of the way down the mountain numbing his underbelly completely. The now white chested baby finally reached a small town of 20 where an ice fisherman found him. The man took the hatchling in and fed him a freshly caught fish. The dragon was taken by him and, once he was warmer, began to jump around like a puppy.

After a few months the man heard a rumour that other dragons were roaming around in different locations. He started to travel the world with the ever growing dragon. He must have visited hundreds of nests but the Guardian never felt a connection with them more than the man. Eventually the dragon met a girl. The man stayed for a few days while the two bonded and managed to sneak away without Svalbard noticing. Now he is settled in with the nest but the man visits every year.

Gwenith's Lore.
Written for a friend: This is Atavus's dragon.

Gwenith was the middle of 7 children born to two Coati parents Randale and Sia. Their nest was in an abandoned cave that had partially filled with water run off from a near by glacier. This was perfect for the couple as Randale, a nature dragon, couldn't hold his breath for an underwater cave.

The ice like water cased a lot of their children to have ice like tendencies and features. By the time Gwenith's egg was laid two of her older siblings has chosen to serve the Gods just to get out of the crowded nest. She was different though. When Gwenith hatched she hopped right out of the water and slid on her belly like a penguin. With her short front legs it was easier to slide than to walk since the cave floor was always wet and cold.

The adults of the nest were always so serious and didn't often stop to play with the younger dragons. As a result Gwenith felt like her voice wasn't always heard. She grew shy with other dragons but was always open and warm with her younger family. She was also very good at fishing.

One day as Gwenith was diving into some nearby water she saw a exceptionally shiny fish. She swam quickly after it but it was too fast. Every time Gwenith stopped for air the fish waited as if it was playing with the dragon. Eventually the fish and the dragon become friends and the fish flew out of the water. This surprised the young dragon she had thought the fish was trapped in a watery prison but it was able to leave at any time.. Seeing the fish circle around her she knew she was able to go wherever she wanted. Gwenith spread her wings and the two flew through the clouds dancing freely in circles.

After a few days of flying Gwenith got tired and hungry. She happened upon another water lair. She inched closer to a pile of fish that was seemingly unattended, feeling apprehensive. As she began to eat a female dragon, Ashlin, came over to greet her. Gwenith jumped back so Ashlin crouched down to make herself smaller. She invited the little Coati in and allowed her to eat as much seafood as she wanted.

Lavawing's Lore.
Written for a friend: This is SugarFairy's dragon.

Lavawing and her brother were born in the same nest as their father. Is was a hot spring created by an adjacent volcano. The adult nocturne embodied the image of the burning mountain so his parents named him Lava. Their mother however was an arcane imperial that was born to a regal dragon HongBao. She looked as royal as he but decided to leave their lair to be with the father of her new eggs.

While the hatchlings lay curled in their toasty eggs a storm began to brew overhead. It raged for hours until a single strike of lightning hit the water of the nest. The jolt streamed through the eggs heating them even further. The twins began to move and writhe until eventually their beautiful containers cracked setting them free into the welcoming water surrounding them.

Lavawing was just like her father while her brother was just like there mum. The lightning that had hatched their eggs turned Lavawing's body a lightly charred brown like the driftwood it has sent flying out of the water it also coloured the wings of her brother.

Lava and Mariette flew to their new hatchlings and held them close with their claws. They shared a look through the following lightning that expressed the concern they had for the hatchlings. In the dark of the night they each scooped up a child and flew away from the storm, fleeing the unsafe nest they previously called home. They flew for the whole night all the while getting small shocks from the baby dragons they carried.

Eventually they came upon a lair that shared the hatchling's electric personality. Lava explained the freak lightning strike to the elder guardians and they were happily accepted into the new lair. They knew this new home would be perfect as there was many others for their children to grow with. They found an empty spot to build a bed but were so tired that the pair lay down and decided to sleep first while the twins began to make friends. The 4 are very comfortable here and couldn't be happier.

Mahzarin's Lore.
Written for a friend: This is YuDragonMaster88's dragon.

Mahzarin was born to two golden pearlcatcher parents. He was smaller than many of his siblings so they liked to wrestle with him to toughen him up. Even though his parents were golden they had earned their gold: Lucifer through his regal job as a record keeper for the great warrior Summbra and Nova as a gift from her master. Lucifer liked to bring his work home and often spoke of the many battles Summbra had won. This had played as mere stories to most of the children but it sparked something in this young hatchling.

As time went on the small hatchling are he worked hard at becoming a strong and agile warrior. He wanted to be the best there was and he was getting good. He stumbled at the start but now he had won over 50 battles in a row and Mahzarin was a warrior that loved his spoils. Every battle he won he'd collect gold and melt it to over sleek body. The more he won the stronger his new armour grew but nothing lasts forever.

Mahzarin walked around the unconscious dragon proud in his most recent victory. He challenged the crowd to bring him a worthy opponent, and they did. Unexpectedly from the back of the onlookers arose a mighty Guardian. Her eye was scared, her teeth were ferocious and she was robed in the most spectacular armour. Those she wasn't as showy in gold she had armour fastened from the strongest metals clad in chains and skulls. Radioactive smoke embodied her as she exhaled. She was a tough opponent anyone could see. And she won.

The battle took a toll on Mahzarin and his armour began to crack and chip. Ashamed he had lost he slipped away while the others praised the new victor. He came upon a healing spring of volcanic ask and water that had collected and stayed warm passed years. As he soaked an impressive Imperial walked to his aid. The Imperial's familiar had seen the battle and kept a close eye on the injured dragon. He called over an obsidian Tundra dragon to tend to Mahzarin's injuries. Mahzarin was permitted to stay as long as he chose to even after he healed he decided to live in the new fire lair. How could he not since they didn't care about his strength or how gold he was. They helped him when he was down and now he has never been happier.

Naiia's Lore.

Agados found Gantu hidden in a bush by the stream their nests lay in. She could tell he was in trouble and decided to bring the scared dragon back to the lair. There he met Metebelis a large female snapper with copper circuits running through her body, they were caused from an unusual lightning strike that incubated her egg before she hatched. She helped Gantu hide from dragons who wanted to hurt him and in return he fathered her some eggs.

Naiia was the first to hatch of the triplets. She burst of her egg spinning and dancing in the water as if she had been doing so for years. Her body camouflaged with the rippling water and matched the suns reflection off it to a tee. She had brown on her wings like the mud her small casing had been nestled in for what seemed like forever. She only paused for a moment when she heard the cracks of her two sisters being born next.

Naiia, Anemone and Moss loved to play hide and seek. Moss was the only snapper but she was able to hide in bushes at first. As Moss grew she was always found more easily. Naiia and Anemone laughed when they went to find their bulky sister who got her foot stuck in burrow trying to hide. This embarrassed the little snapper so she tugged hard at her leg and flew off through the trees.

The sun sank lower in the sky and it was now time for the dragons to eat. Moss still hadn't returned and it was unlike her to miss a meal. Metebelis knew the two Faes must have taken their teasing too far so she sent them off without dinner to find their sister. The two flew for quite some time until they met a fork in the path. Before any discussion took place Naiia raced off down the left path waving goodbye behind her. Thinking it better to split up Anemone went right.

The left path though dark at first began to glow with illuminated mushrooms and fireflies. She twirled around the wonderful sights with blues, pinks and greens floating around her in the forms of pollen and falling tree seeds. The foliage was so beautiful she forgot why she was there. All night she danced through the trees until she eventually came to the end of the forest. Dawn broke through the night cutting the darkness in two. She squinted as she peeked out of the trees. Exhausted and filthy she saw her sisters waiting on a rock. Naiia flew over and hugger them tight. No one said a word but they all knew, it was time to go home.

She helped Gantu hide from dragons who wanted to hurt him and in return he fathered her some eggs.

Anemone was the second to hatch of the triplets. She yawned and stretched her wings taking in her surroundings before carefully leaving the protective casing her just awoke from. Her body much like her sister's camouflaged with the rippling water but was darker and less lean. She had rust coloured wings showing her warm nature from being in the centre of the nest. She looked behind herself when she heard the cracks of her last sister hatching.

Naiia, Anemone and Moss loved to play hide and seek. Anemone always hid in fallen leaves from the large oaks.

Before any discussion took place Naiia raced off down the left path waving goodbye behind her. Thinking it better to split up Anemone went right.

The right path though welcoming at first was now cold and wet. She kept her head on a swivel making sure there was no dangerous being ready to eat a small dragon. The darkness began to surround her gripping harder on her eyes and mind. The trees dripped swampy strings that oozed upon touch. It was hard for Anemone to avoid the sludge and it was thick on her wings, so thick it weighed on her causing her to sink in the air. She had no choice but to walk to find her sister and the oozing sludge adhered to her body like tar dying it a swampy green. She focused hard on her sister's faces to keep her sanity when finally she came to the end of the forest. Dawn broke through the night cutting the darkness in two. The light gleamed and she rubbed her eyes in disbelief, there was her younger sister sleeping by a rock. Anemone walked over and gently touched the snapper's head. Just then she heard a ruffle from the other path and Naiia smacked into them for a huge hug. No one said a word but they all knew, it was time to go home.

Moss's Lore.

Moss was the last to hatch of the triplets. She popped her little claw out, looked around and curled pack up in her shell. Her body unlike either of her sister's camouflaged with more with trees and shrubs. Her mother stood by the nest and coaxed the little snapper out of her covering. She had slate wings that, like Naiia matched the egg she was reluctant to leave. She looked behind herself and stared up at her mother who greeted her with a warm smile. She was happy to not be alone anymore.

Naiia, Anemone and Moss loved to play hide and seek. Moss was the only snapper but she was able to hide in bushes at first. As Moss grew she was always found more easily but tried hard to find new locations.

Before any discussion took place Naiia raced off down the left path waving goodbye behind her. Thinking it better to split up Anemone went right.

Moss had ran without looking back for quite some time. She didn't even realize there were two paths to choose from let alone which path she took. It happened she took the same path Anemone would soon be taking. Moss hadn't seen the welcoming side of the path just this nasty, cold and wet path that choked her like a smothering blanket. The trees dripped swampy strings that oozed upon touch. It was almost impossible for a snapper like Moss to avoid the sludge and it was thick on her wings. The tar like sludge began to burn away at her wings and body, dying it a swampy green. She burst through the the treelike thankful to see a small clearing and one until tree by a rock. Exhausted she curled up using the rock as a pillow and fell asleep to the sounds of her stomach rumbling. She awoke with a startle to being touched by her sister's claw but nearly cried seeing the familiar face. Naiia ran over shortly after and hugged the two sisters tight. No one said a word but they all knew, it was time to go home.

Sharpeye's Lore.
Written for a friend: This is Platedtornado's dragon.

Miseria was an arcane Imperial and Auriolus was a fire Nocturne together they hatched over 70 eggs. Their family was growing so large the lair they were born to had to ask them to leave, there just wasn't enough food. The pair traveled until they found a warm volcano where Auriolus instantly felt at home. They settled in and hatch some more eggs, but one egg got knocked down the hill before it could hatch. The small ovoid object tumbled and rolled down the volcano side hardening the hatchling within to a crystallized dragon. After some time the egg fell down a crevice to the lava filled rivers within.

Meanwhile at the nest Miseria and Auriolus realized the volcano was becoming dangerously active. The began to scoop up their eggs not realizing one was lost. They followed what they thought was smoke to a near by Plague lair with a lot of room. A lot of their older children branched off to see the world or serve the gods but these two always stayed together.

Back at the volcano the egg grew hotter and hotter until the young hatchling burst out of it's shell. Sharpeye flew straight up through the volcano's vent and into the night sky as it erupted. He looked around as the eruption subsided and saw he was all alone. In the distance he saw a faint glow that he didn't understand so he decided to follow it.

Sharpeye flew through the cold, dark, night which cooled his newborn body to a darker black. The parts of his body that were even more wind whipped grew numb and turned white. His body began to adapt to the darkness and his wings illuminated a bright blue which attracted insects for him to enjoy. Finally after what felt like forever he reached the glow he had seen. It happened to be a shadow lair filled with . Tired from his journey the young dragon collapsed at the base of a nesting stump. He slept for hours unseen by the other dragons as his weathered body matched the glow of the unhatched babies. Finally he woke up and saw one of the eggs start to move. The parent came over and saw young Sharpeye in with the other hatchlings and shells. She silently scooped them all up and accepted him as one of her own children. He is still with that lair today and has even had hatchlings of his own but he was careful none of them rolled away.

Nebula's Lore.
Written for a friend: This is SweetNightmares7's dragon.

Sunspot and Diata were two faes that weren't in the water lair long. In the time they stayed however they had 3 hatchlings, one of which was Nebula. He liked to be more mischievous than his brothers but usually his pranks were simple and harmless. One night while he and his brothers were in the tides he decided to play a game with them. The goal was to see who could get the furthest into the sea without getting scared.

His brothers played along but Goldy got pulled under while they were focused on butting heads. He was pulled deeper into the abyss until the Tidelord himself rescued him. He swore then to always serve the god who had saved him.

Next to disappear was Sherbet, pulled into the undertow towards a large river. He struggled to keep his head up long enough for a breath. As the current began to slow he was pulled out by a large Imperial dragon named Emperor. He was the ruler of a fire lair and allowed the soaked hatchling to stay and get warm. He felt safe but still missed his family until he met a beautiful grey Guardian that he eventually had 3 babies with before moving on.

By the time Nebula turned around his brothers were long gone. He thought they must have chickened out until he felt a darkness pull him further to sea. He tried hard to fight the current, flapping his wings to escape but they were too wet to fly. The water pulled him to the border of light and lightning where an old Bogsneak scooped him up. It was Baldwin, eager to try a new recipe for breed changing. He held the potion in his hand and before the young fae could make a decision the bottle tumbled from his hand and splashed all over the pearl child. His body grew sharper all around, his wings pointed, his snout became more beak like and his teeth honed into tiny knives. His vision enhanced as he gained another set of eyes.

Dazed, itchy and dizzy Nebula stumbled out of the clearing and tried to fly, only to fall to the ground with a thud. He wandered through straight through the Sunbeam Ruins until he was able to finally focus again. As he passed the boarder to the Tangled wood he could see the glow of newly laid shadow eggs in the distance. He walked until he bumped into an obsidian Imperial who welcomed him into their lair. Over the years as he grew up he changed even more from all he had been through. He thought about his family but was sure they wouldn't accept his new appearance so he stayed with this lair and had a few hatchlings of his own with another mirror named Starr. She was happy to see another mirror like herself and accepted him and his past together.

Riverwing's Lore.

Inutheril was a small purple pearlcatcher, her size made flying come easier than breathing to her. Her siblings however had learned the way an average hatchling would, with many bumps and a few scrapes. They were jealous of Inutheril and decided to play a prank, her brother covered himself in berries and pretended to be quite ill while their sister yelled for Inutheril's help. She said it was a poisonous plant and that they needed a special remedy made of hard to find ingredients. It had to be Inutheril to find them, she was the best at flying and no one else would be fast enough. On her travels before finding the ingredients she met Griff, an amethyst mirror dragon that looked quite similar to her. He explained that she had been deceived and nothing on her list actually existed.

Inutheril was ashamed to be so naive so she decided to stay with Griff who clearly knew a thing or two about surviving on his own. His body was scared and discoloured from the battles he had fought with nature and finding dinner. The two slowly fell in love and had two beautiful baby girls a pearlcatcher and a mirror.

Riverwing took on her father's colouring, amethyst body with remarkable cobalt angel like wings. She also inherited her mothers secret gift for talking to river sprites and spirits. Riverwing's sister, although not a peralcatcher, inherited the arcane representing position for the element.

Riverwing spent a lot of her time admiring the sky, she loved to watch it almost as much as she loved to soar through it. She couldn't sit in one place for very long unless she was looking into the sky. One day, while her mother was teaching her sister what to expect in her future job se decided to go on her own private journey with the river spirits. She flew straight into the sky diving through fluffy clouds like a dolphin in the water. Riverwing was having so much fun she lost track of time, and track of where she was. She spun around quickly and didn't recognize her surroundings so she lowered her altitude and looked again. She was officially lost.

Riverwing flew and flew trying to find her way home but couldn't. Eventually she sank in the sky and sat by the river. A tear fell into the stream below which caught her attention. She jumped in and started swimming the way she thought she had come from. She started to slow down after about another hour and just before she sank in her father scooped her into his claws. She was so exhausted she didn't even realize she had been saved until she woke up the next day safely back with her clan.

Riverwing knew it handily only been a dream but she still went exploring many more times. From now on though every time she left the clan she paid closer attention to where she was going. She became excellent at tracking her position using the stars and sun. Even when she grew up and left her family she always came back for a visit and occasionally she even brought her new family.
