The Pokerus Outbreak

A virus so rare that not much is known about it. With there only being a 1 in 21845 chance of coming across a wild pokemon with the virus, plus the fact that its almost impossible to tell if it has the virus to start with, scientists find it hard to study it. But, recently, there have been reports of humans catching the virus, despite it only being known to infect pokemon.
There are no symptoms, at least, not for existing humans. There aren't any side effects, either, for existing humans. The virus is just there, eerily.
But it's newborns that feel it's effects. It'll start as a sick bug, vomiting and stomach pains. And then it causes migranes and fevers. Then comes muscle and joint pains. Your symptoms depend on the strain of virus you have - there are four strains, each having different outcomes.

Strain A - No or mild symptoms. The carrier may feel drained and achy at times, but has no severe pains.
Strain B - Symptoms similar to a sickness bug; May include vomiting, bad stomach cramps, as well as feeling drained and achy. Still no severe pains.
Strain C - Joint and muscle pains, vomiting, stomach cramps, tiredness, aches.
Strain D - Severe pains, often due to cracking or fracturing of weaked bones or torn muscles. Easily bruised. Joint pains, vomiting, stomach cramps, tiredness and aches.

Studies have taken place around the strains resulting in strange outcomes which aren't... willingly shared. In fact, the results are kept between and inside the institution only. No one outside is to know. However -
The result found were that children with strain A and B were more likely to have a: higher IQ, more understanding of Pokemon (such as a pokemon's thoughts and feelings), and thus, became better Pokémon trainers andvco-ordinators.
Those with strain C mutated, slightly. They took the appearance of a pokemon, ever so slightly. Some grew tails, some grew ears. Some even took the pokemon's personlaity at acted as it for moments at a time. But were, also, more likely to avoid people due to their apperance.
Children with strain D mutated fully - turning into a pokemon and not being able to turn back. They weren't, however, able to be put into Poke balls and could speak the human language as well as communicate with pokemon.

Team Virus has taken over the Team Galactic base in Veilstone, Sinnoh. They've turned it into an "orphanage" for the children infected with Pokerus (as many parents give up their children with the virus).
Well, parents thought they were putting their children in orphanages. Team Virus came across as caring and innocent, willing to take care of the "sick" kids. Until they found that Pokerus was actually making the infected stronger and stronger.
They want to make the children their weapon to do what Team Galactic failed to do.
Will you help them? Or fight against them?

Character name: Umbray "Umbra" and Luxie "Lux" Spera
Character age (10-18): Both are 13
Gender: Both are female
Trainer or Co-ordinator?: Umbra is a trainer, Lux is a co-ordinator
Apperance: Umbra on the left, Lux on the right; Not my image
Personality: Both girls are friendly but Umbra is slightly more careful and cautious, where Lux is more naive and carefree. They are very close and don't like being split up from each other. They both love music and dance, so don't be surprised if they suddenly break out into song - they would be more than happy if you joined them. Neither of them believe that strong = cool and cute = weak, they both have mixed teams.
Crushes: Both open; Palpad
Other: They're not identical but are also very similar. They're both bisexual~

Character name: Carmina "Mina" Viridis
Character age (10-18): 11
Gender: Female
Gijinka Species: Kirlia
Trainer or Co-ordinator?: Co-ordinator
Apperance: Not my image
Personality: Quiet and very shy. Likes to cling to either Umbra or Lux as she sees them as her older sisters. It'll take a long time to earn her trust. When with people she knows, she's awfully bubbly and hyper. She's also very gentle - she knows when someone or a pokemon is upset and, thus, like to hug them or hold their hand (usually without context).
Crush: Open; Palpad
Other: She was one of the less affected - her hair became green and the lower half of her body tinted green, however, she hides that by wearing bright green tights. As far as she knows, she's heterosexual.
