Tsuno used his vines to silently move himself behind the Houndoom. He whipped his leaf several times. One time for a PoisonPowder, once for a Leech Seed, and for good measure, AncientPower. "Lisa, run!" he called to the injured Bayleef. She stared at her little cousin and dashed off, most likely to get help.

Now the Houndoom were attacked by not just Maxis and the new Hydreigon, but also by a Chikorita who had tricks up his leaf. "Stay away from my family, wormbrains!" he snapped, whipping at them with his vines.

Maxis wanted to burn the group of Houndoom, but he was afraid he'd hit Tsuno as well. A Houndoom's fire is a very dangerous weapon not to be taken lightly.

A bold Houndoom charged him, they both met ramming their horns together in an undignified manner. Maxis then felt his fire sacks burst to life, he then let out a breath of scorching hot fire. It made contact with the Houndoom's face and it retreated, doubling over, rubbing it's body against the ground in pain. Maxis and the Houndoom both knew the pain would linger for as long as the Houndoom lived.

The Houndooms' health drained rather quickly with the PoisonPowder and Leech Seed up. Also, Ancient Power was super effective. So the Chikorita had done quite a number on them. He dodged away from a Flamethrower clumsily, which ended right before hitting a tree. "Careful!" he taunted. "Don't wanna destroy your territory, do you?"

The Houndoom rounded on him, snarling. "Afraid of a Chikorita?" he sang rudely. "Well, fortunately you have reason. I won't stop until you drop." He summoned more glowing rocks and shot them at the three enemy Houndoom. One screeched and dashed away in fright, saying something about "protecting her pup".

"Listen up, scrap," the biggest of the bunch growled to literally any of them. "You only won because you, stupid Chikorita, have Ancient Power, PoisonPowder and Leech Seed. If my mate weren't distracted by the need to protect Jerry, our pup, we would've won. For now, we retreat."

He used dragon rush on one of the Houndooms and smashed the houndoom to the ground while also making a big cloud of dust. The houndoom limped away

Maxis curled his lip and drew it back, snarling. "Damn right you're retreating. Leave this family alone Brimstone. Hunt elsewhere." he spat.

He heard something about a pup, was a pup in the pack ill? Or was there something else going on he wasn't aware about?

He tossed the thought aside, the three remaining Houndoom could very well still attack. They had numbers on their side, and Brimstone's words could very well be a distraction. He kept his guard him either way, still ready to fight for his life.

He had totally forgotten about his shoulder, blood oozed onto the ground. The pain was distracting, but he held his head high. He couldn't show weakness.

Flame eventually got the courage to fly down. She flew to where the Houndooms were and looked. "H-H-Hi?" She said. "Please don't kill me.." She realized it was a different color than most Houndoom and stood back. "Did you kill all those Houndoom?" She asked.

"I contributed to the fight!" Tsuno squawked in annoyance. The Chikorita retreated his vines and saw his Serperior uncle and Meganium aunt. Their daughter and sons were in front of them; Lisa the Bayleef, Alex the Snivy, and Aaron the Chikorita.

"Thank Arceus you're okay!" his aunt sobbed, running over to him and hugging him like there was nothing else she could do.

"Yeah, well I have a few tricks up my leaf," the shiny muttered.

The Houndoom had retreated, he emerged victorious. He sat down, curling his tail around his paws. He began lapping at his shoulder wound, soaking up the blood with his wet tongue.

Tsuno was reunited with his family. I guess I should take my leave very soon.. after that scandal I don't think I'm welcome here.. he thought.

"H-H-Hi?" Maxis heard a voice call, he stopped tending to his wound and look up. A Fletching? "No, I did not. Although I did kill one, I bit it's throat. I wounded another with my flames. The rest retreated." he responded to the Fletchling's question.
