I will probably always be a fundamentalist when it comes to the
Pokemon series. My first Pokemon game was Pokemon Yellow, which I
still have and play from time to time. I remember when I was
younger I was always frustrated trying to beat Brock with my
Pikachu or grass/normal Pokemon, so I'd often have a friend who was
playing Red or Blue trade a Water type to me. ;P There are things I
really miss about the old games -- Team Rocket and the cheat where
we could duplicate Pokemon or items in the PC -- but I also really
enjoy some of the newer installments. For instance, Sun & Moon is
the first generation I've utilized the GTS and I LOVE it.
i for one prefer the older games over the newer. they were more
challenging for a start, and (maybe im just getting old) i feel
like there are wayyy too many pokemon to keep up with these days
"Because I could not stop for Death,
He kindly stopped for me;
The carriage held but just ourselves
And Immortality"
Oh my gosh, YES! There are DEFINITELY way too many. I was really
excited for Sun & Moon because the Pokedex is so much smaller. :D I
have all of the originals remembered, but I only know a few here
and there from future generations.
Honestly, they're some of the worse Pokemon games out there. Still
not bad, but nothing compared to some other gens. I think the games
are just a bit broken. All you have to do is use something that's
fast that knows Wrap/Fire Spin/Bind/Clamp or a psychic type to beat
the game.
While I don't particularly like the older games either, I don't
think it's fair to call them the worst Pokemon games out there ^^
They were the original prototypes after all. Games are meant to be
improved upon with each release :)
They aren't the worst games out there, they're just some of the
worse. X and Y are the worst, in my opinion. Their Pokemon roster
was pitiful, Team Flare wasn't good at all, the Fairy typing didn't
balance the game at all and just ended up being a broken
typing.
But, anyways, they were asking what you think of them, and the
games being a prototype shouldn't really affect how good the games
are, in my opinion.
