Custom Profile
Forum-Index → Suggestions → Custom ProfileIt would even be fun to decide how large (small-medium-large) we want our top-most banner (the one that indicates our trainer level and everything). I suggest leaving it at the top, since yea, it's the most important thing, but rearranging it (placing other sections beside it, etc.) would allow a different and more unique profile. This would also make most of the profiles different. People aiming to trade / collect / etc. would put their most important sections at the top. For example, if I'm proud to shiny hunt, I could have two top-most section (the Shiny Hunt section which already exists and a new one where you display all Shinies you ever caught, the dates and the chain #)
It would also be fun to create new and different sections. Now I'm only suggesting these ones and they might bring more problems than not, but here are a few I had in mind:
1) A Battle section ,where you post your favorite team you use, if you accept fights or not, battle statistics, etc.
2) a BerryGarden section, where you can show your achievements, your berry garden's, your own stand.
3) Shiny Hunt History section, where you display all Shinies you ever caught, the dates and the chain #.
4) Trade section, where you can show off what you're willing to sell (from inventory), what you're looking for, etc. (I know there is the Trade Forum for this, but imagine if a random person falls onto your profile and has exactly what you want/need and doesn't need to go check out your links which are found at the bottom of your profile)
5) Forum section ,where you post the threads that interest you the most, the ones you have written on, those that belong to you, on which one you have written on etc.
ETC.) The list can go on and on and on. The possibilities are endless.
Now, I know this might not be the most important thing on the website, but please hear me out. More often than not, we visit other people's profile to get a good idea on where they are in the game, how friendly they are, what they're up too, etc. (... Or maybe that's only me... *stalker*) This would allow customisable profiles suited for what the person likes doing best on PoéHeroes. The most important stuff on top, and the less important ones below. Of course, there could still be the "Default" option and the "Modify your Profile" What I also find strange is the huge empty gap between the last section "Contact" and the huge "About Me" section that usually overlaps the designated area. Being able to re-arrange the sections as we like would allow the profile pages close that empty gap.
If you're against that idea, please tell me why (although I have stated above I don't know if it's easy to do and that it might not be the most important thing for the website right now), I'd be interested to know why! Thanks for hearing me out! :)

While I don't think it's necessary or important for the site, I voted support because I think it would be a nice addition and I would probably use it.
I'm also tired of seeing the same thing over and over again on everyone's profile. I mean, we all use PokéHeroes differently and I think people should be able to show what they like the most and what the need the most.

PokèHeroes is not a blog, it's an adoptable website. You don't need to customize your profile to be all fancy, even if it's only re-arranging your widgets and adding more widgets. You can already do all these 'widgets' by yourself in a forum[Diary section] and you can arrange it however you want, use colors, code it yourself, etc. You don't even need it to be implemented and have a do-it-yourself approach to it, put effort to them if it's really important for you.
By 'social media' what exactly do you mean? As far as I'm aware, the only social network I know that have profile customization is Tumblr, then again it's a microblogging website so it make sense and fit the website. I'm not active on Tumblr but I atleast know that it would make sense to customize your blog(s) since that's pretty much what would attract 'followers' + your blog(s) contents. The social medias I'm on doesn't have much of a customization feature and I think it's for a good reason.
PokèHeroes is not a social media in the first place so I really don't see this being in PokèHeroes. I keep repeating my point of PokèHeroes not being a social media since from how you worded in your quote, that's your inspiration? Correct me if I'm wrong. But also because PokèHeroes is a website where these things just doesn't fit in and you can already do it yourself anyway.
Neopets isn't a blog either, it's an adoptable site, a little bigger than PokéHeroes, but still serves the same purpose. Why redirect everything to a forum, when you can have everything on your own profile? That way it's easier for everyone, and like I have stated in my first post, a random person who visits your profile, might have the exact thing you want and be ready to sell it to you, without having to go through all your links (which by the way, are found at the bottom of your profile, not always the first thing you look at).
If it's not important for people (like you), then you just won't need to use this feature and you'll be able to keep it as the "Default" option. That way, people who do want to customize their profile will be able to use it. I mean, I have seen interest among a lot of people (if you look at the approval rating of my suggestion, I have a majority that's for this suggestion).
Thank you for your opinion, but it hasn't changed my views that PokéHeroes should have this feature, although it's not the most important thing right now and that it might be difficult to create. A lot of people use the argument "PokéHeroes is an adoptable website", but that hasn't stopped Neopets from adding new features and changing things around a bit. PokéHeroes is an adoptable site, but it could have so much more features to make it unique among all the other adoptable sites. A ittle bit just like Neopets did (and used to be popular).

If some random stranger is searching for an item, they should just search in the GTS forums though? Like you mentioned, it's already a option. You can also already do that in feeds and your profile (Which I know a lot of users do). You really don't need a widget for something you can already do.
I do think making a forum is easier and more convenient. Atleast in my sole opinion. If some people want to know deeper about you, they have the option to. Users visit profiles to know about them and then filling it with some information that doesn't concern them- that's already a thing even without this suggestion. Forums post doesn't have much of a limit either so you could do a lot of things by making a diary.
I never mentioned it was not important? That's quite a rude assumption. The only time I used the word 'important' is by saying that if you really want to add additional informations to your Profile, if you were to make a forum you can do it yourself and customize it. Learn to bbcode a bit and make everything looks nice. If you want to customize your profile, do it. I personally don't see how having a different profile does anything especially when the site by itself is a simple, calm website. I'm not going to lie, for adoptables that have the feature of customizing your profile with fancy codings makes me stressed to keep up with everyone especially since I can't code for my life. The exact reason why I quit playing Neopets, Furvilla and Goatlings. So that's why some of my words are personal.
The majority agree, the minority state their opinions. I'm not saying this shouldn't be implemented or anything I'm just stating what I think of it, capiche?
I obviously know that PokéHeroes doesn not need to look like another adoptable site. I just responded to your previous argument saying that PokèHeroes is not a blog, it's an adoptable website. You don't need to customize your profile to be all fancy, even if it's only re-arranging your widgets and adding more widgets. You don't need to customize your profile, but being given the option would be fun.
Yea, people can search for items in the GTS, but it's also fun to already see, for example, what your friend is selling and what he or she wants for it without having to scroll indefinetly through their posts or by having to look through the forum. It's already going to be on their profile. ANd if we include the other widgets I have previously mentioned, it's fun showing off what you have done and what your goals on this website are (ex. Shiny Hunts).
I'm not going to lie, for adoptables that have the feature of customizing your profile with fancy codings makes me stressed to keep up with everyone especially since I can't code for my life. I'm sorry if you can't code and I'm sorry if it stresses you out. Others like to use their coding knowledge and apply it. Like you previously mentioned, you probably wouldn't use it (I said it wasn't important for you because you wouldn't use it, I'm sorry if my awkward use of word offended you), but others would like to code their own profile and make it their own.
Anyways, all of this conversation doesn't seem to be leading to something. You're entitled to your opinion, just like I am. I won't be able to change yours and you won't be able to change mine, so why not leave it at that, eh?

It's fun sure but it's just not fitting to PokèHeroes style in my opinion? Especially since with, like I mentioned before, how the PokèHeroes profiles are formatted. In my point of view, it's already good enough, you have all the info you need already. If you want to add more, you have your About Me and you can just go on the forums. Both of which is already an option and adding a new feature just seems too unnecessary.
On forums you can see (most) previous deals and know the user is truthworthy if they had done business before. If anyone is interested in seeing your achievements, you can just link to your diary and keep not only Shiny Hunts but perhaps other things aswell. I know for a fact that people would keep the number the shiny is onsite. You can just already do everything on your own.
Still don't see the point of adding advanced customization for Profiles on PokèHeroes. The Profiles aren't exactly bland like Furvilla and Neopets- which uses coding for profiles and unlike those two, you can keep a forum to post your stuff in.
Yeah, just stating everything I have in my mind of your suggestion, debate a little bit. That's pretty much the reason why I even bothered to post even though I get anxiety from posting my opinions. Need it to be heard. Say, if this is implemented I hope Riako atleast consider it being mobile friendly or something.
