Lich stuffed himself into a veteran soldier's body, then sent himself and his nephew to the Fire Kingdom as fake defectors.

Caleb was done trainning, he was completely worn out because of Ivy's amazing skills. So he went home to his tree house, and used his power to spy on all of the kingdoms, using Plants, Algae and Fungi but, he was mainly spying on the Fire kingdom. It was the hardest to spy on, since most of their plant life are the microscopic hear resistant fungi that live on the outer part of the kingdom where it's the least warm. He saw Flare... He remembered his fateful meeting with her like it was only yesterday.

Caleb was only... a novice magician... the newest at the army, Flare was still a fighter back then. She was so beautiful, elegant and strong, He was in-awe. And then, She saw him and attacked fiercely. He was almost going to die so he retaliated with a poison spell, gave her an antidote and ran-off.

He still regreted that day, He should've helped her and surrendered to the fire kingdom.

Then he slapped his face with both hands. And went to spy on the water kingdom.

Lich changed the plan; he went after Caleb in the soldier's body. He decided to tell Caleb:

"You spied without orders from me?"

Behind him was a soldier looking exactly like Squall Leonhart from FF8. He whispered:

"It's me, King Lich. You deserve a break; they'll never discover who's behind a disguise like this. You can go."

Ivy looked at the natures blessing ring as Caleb walked away. A Nature's Blessing ring was given as thanks in the Earth Kingdom. She smiled and put the ring decorated with her namesake leaf on, and wheat back to find the ruler of the Earth Kingdom to tell them her plan to invade the Water Kingdom.

Flare winced. Her cheek hurt, rather suddenly. She touched it with one hand and flinched again. Pulling herself together, she rushed to the top of the nearest tower, peering at the battlefield, first towards Earth Kingdom, then towards Water Kingdom.
Something horrible is going to happen. Flare packed a bag full of medicine, and a few needles. Her trusty knife was placed in her bag as well. And I plan to be ready.

Phoenix decided to send some solders to announce to her villagers to pack an emergency bag, filled with personal belongings and food, in case of emergency. She thought it would be a good idea.

"My king, It's my duty to spy on the kingdoms and send report them to you." Caleb said as a sweat started to form around his face. "And, right now. I'm spying on the fire kingdom. It's very hard to spy on them since it's extremely hard to grow any plant life there. That and the ice kingdom." He bowed.
