What am I going to do with the earnings if I win?
I will keep the money until I can buy a legendary egg detector for the tall grass then if I get 2 of latias or latios I will sell a latios or latias or trade for a latios or latias.

If it's an item, I'd most probably keep it, but then again, if it's no use of it for me, I'd do the same as with a pokémon;

I would love to spend some time visiting ruins all over the world, because i think past is as important as present or future and it can teach you a lot.

That depends on the prize, really. Any money would be used to work toward my goals, collecting all the shinies I want to collect, completing the pokedex, getting a year's worth of premium. Any shinies, well, that depends on what they are. If I fancy them, I'd keep them. If not, then I'd be likely to throw them into the Shiny Wonder Trade so I can try my luck at getting a Shiny Ho-Oh. Other items would be hoarded or used. I don't really go through the trouble of selling items.
