Simplifying Tall Grass.
Forum-Index → Suggestions → Rejected → Simplifying Tall Grass.I've observed that it's really hard to get a egg from those huge bunches of grasses and it takes quiet a lot time too (Except for Easy Rarities)
So i'd suggest that once we go for a tall grass hunt since the probability of getting an egg is quiet low hence the selected grass should be removed.
I'd tell you an example too how this can be helpful for any one of us.
Let's say a user is planning to shiny hunt keldeo so he is behind the tall grass but his chances of getting an egg in the tall grass is too low hence once he click the grass the selected grass should be removed for the next chance and this should be repeated until he finds an egg and after that once he finds an egg the grass should be as normal once again.
Hence this would make it easy to find eggs on the tall grass.

I know where you're coming from. Then again, I don't think it has to be changed, cause it's supposed to be random.
More often than not did I not get an egg from there (hunting Hard-rarity, 4x4-grid with 20min waiting period), but that's the point.
It wouldn't take THAT long (in comparison) to get every egg out of the TG.
Looking for more opinions to decide for me.
The amount of grass patches for the different rarities are more than reasonable. Your suggestion would make getting rarer Pokémon - like, with your example, a legendary - way too easy. And people who want to shiny hunt those, knew what they were applying for before starting the hunt. Not to mention that legendary hunts are supposed to be hard - we're talking legendary Pokémon here after all.

I'm gonna have to agree with Liirah here. Legends are definitely hard to get - but that was intentional. We'd also use up the rare/hard eggs too often if they were so easy to get. As it is, for non event pokemon, there are barely any eggs in the tall grass.

you click on the grass in C3 and get the message 'The egg is very far away' and the grass in C3 disappears, but the rest of the grasses are all still there.
You then click on H3 and get 'The egg should not be far away.' and the grass on H3 disappears.
You click on I2 and get the message 'You are very close!' and the grass in I2 disappears.
You click on I1 and find the egg. All the grasses reset and a new egg is hidden.
This could work for egg that are found using an item, like Keldeo or Cosmog, but how would it work for other eggs found in the drop down box?
If there are five of one kind in the tall grass and six people want to find it, how does that work?
Do the first five people to start searching for the egg get the grass and the sixth simply doesn't see the egg at all unless one of the fist five cancel the search? or do all six search for the egg and the last person left gets some kind of message telling them there are no eggs left?
If it's the former, then your idea would work on all the tall grasses, but if it is the latter, it would only work on the four legendary eggs.
(Also, the tall grass is easy if you use an Excel document to keep track of which grasses you've clicked and the area of effect each message gives you. If you click C3 and it says 'The egg is very far away' you know it's not in the first 5x5 square of grasses. Easy.)
i think this suggestion is kinda outdated because, since it was made, riako already made tall grass easier in the way you explained in your post...but that wasn´t the case when this feed was created so i think its not neccessary to post here anymore maybe, since riako already did something about it
