My suggestion is more for the players and not the Users running the site itself. When you post "Anything I don't have" I've heard from several users that, even if they want the Pokémon they'll shy away from making a trade with this in the Info box because it forces them to do unrequired searching through your boxes. While this isn't always a chore as some Users (Myself included) don't have such a massive collection of Pokémon there are Users who have Hundreds of Pokémon and when you come upon these Users who post this it quickly does become a chore for anyone trying to acquire something that should only take a few seconds(Depending on Trader activity)

You are the expert of what you do or don't want. What you should post in the info box is PD amount, nugget amount, specific Pokémon name(s)(Gender included), Evolution trade and/or Item name(s). This will not only make trading easier but also faster and more importantly fun for both people involved as you both get what you want immediately(Again depending on trader activity).

In conclusion I guess what I'm ultimately trying to say is you don't go to a Pawn Shop and ask "What do you want for that TV." to get in response "Anything I don't have, take a look." be direct in your trade to make things simpler for those looking to trade.

Sincerely

But, it isn't really that hard to see what pokemon another person doesn't have

Go to their profile, and click their pokedex

You can see what they have, what they are missing, and you can even click "compare" to see what they are missing that you have an extra of

For example, here you can compare your dex to riako's

If you can read this, you know how to read.

@Hikikomori;

Um, I don't really feel like this is a suggestion, isn't it more of a complaint?
I mean, the suggestions forum is a place to where you suggest features to make the site better.. and from what I gather in this, you're just telling people to not write "anything i don't have" in trades, correct?

My opinion of this is that, where it may annoy and be less inconvenient for you - sometimes people don't know what they want for their Pokemon and they are 100% free to write whatever they wish. Which, yes - does include "anything I don't have."

And being blunt - people probably aren't going to listen to you, people are still going to post "anything I dont have" and to be honest, there's really nothing you can do to stop them.

@Hikikomori,

Like what Furret said, is this actually a suggestion? ^^ As far as I can tell, this is more of a complaint towards people that write 'anything I don't have'. If it's not a suggestion, I need to move this thread.

Secondly, as Blanche has pointed out, it's not that hard to figure out what you can offer. Riako has made it pretty easy for us with the compare tool.

for me its okay, to write "anything i don't have", just imagine a user with over 100 missing pokemon, should they type down every single one? the dex is the perfect tool, also made for checking what people have and what they don't have. if you don't want to look up someones missing pokemon, just ignore this trades and only go for trades which clearly state what a person wants.

i understand people who are missing more than a couple pokemon for the dex don't want to write down every single one. even if you use a long list in your profile it can be a pain to keep it up to date. as for me, i tend to forget stuff like that. its easier to look up the "missing dex", thats what this feature is made for. and its just about 3 clicks...
