A Lonely Pirate
Forum-Index → Fanmades → Fanfictions → A Lonely PirateI lived on the Harb Island. I wasn't a pirate. I was a salesman. I runned a little shop near the beach. It was really dangerous since pirate ships sailed and invaded there.
"Ahoy, you salty squids! Sail away!" You could hear that voice in the morning. That was usually said by Captain Sea Clump, he was a good person (although his real name was Rubinson). He wasn't really a pirate but just wished to be one. And no, he's not the hero in our story, I didn't tell anything from this story yet.
His daughter's name was Ruby, as a next level to the Rubinson name. She wished to be a pirate one day just like her father. One day, Ruby shouted in my shop:
"I want to be a pirate!"
- "You can't be a pirate...you're...you're...a girl!" her father yelled.
"But daddy, you said--"
- "No more of what I said, Ruby!"
I never discovered what Ruby wanted to say. It couldn't be so simple for a person like me who never tasted the fresh air on the sea, and the reason is, that I didn't know to swim. If I don't know how to swim, imagine what would happen in a shipwreck! I would drown!
Ruby also had an elder brother Johnatan, prefered to be called as John. He was a pirate, he even had a ship. Ruby was jealous of him.
Every night when John came back from his ship, Ruby would angrily look at him and his shocked face. After she would laugh at him. Everything was funny to her. And why wouldn't it be, laughter is the cure for every sickness.
Although not this kind of sickness.
Johnatan had many visions of people falling down onto a giant rock, and then a ship wrecking onto that rock, although the people would stay alive, but the ship would soon get flooded and burrow itself to the bottom of the ocean.
Therefore John was scared.
Many years later John was all grown up, ready to go on his first sail and never come back home. He had the potential to do it.
His father had tears upon his eyes, seductively looking at John sail away.
"Daddy, are you supposed to let John away?" asked Ruby.
- "No, dear child, I'm not. He roughly decided that he would go away. I didn't want to push him towards home. He's a pirate. He can do what he wants now."
Rubinson walked away with a truthful sigh.
Ruby although had something else on mind. Later that night she sneaked up and stole some logs from my shop while I was sleeping! What a pesky kid!
No, of course I wasn't sleeping on job. It was night! I'm not an owl to stay up all night!
And she built a cheap float out of wood and vines. Then, that night, she sailed away.
Alright, that's all for now! Stay tuned for more tommorow!
