☆ Revolution ☆

Shenzii and Silv

Welcome to the revolution, the governments been corrupted, non-followers have been exiled, and it's practically war out there.

This is a thing Weekend and I have been thinking of doing for a while, and we thought it was about time to bring it to life. This post will serve as the existing characters masterpost to be updated as new characters come in. We'll be alternating in posting parts of the story (for example, I'm making the first "chapter" and she'll be writing the next in the following post and so forth). It'll be PG-13 (there will be character deaths, nothing too extreme but it's literally taking place during a war against a corrupted government so....yeah. No cursing though -- with the exception of some made up curses we'll come up with, ex. "mousebrain" means stupid in the warriors series and is considered a 'curse word' to them. Nothing to worry about :p)

It'll of course be a pokemon (or pokesona) story, and not all the characters have artwork yet (we definitely appreciate design submissions because I highly doubt either of us can draw a bisharp or any type of bird pokemon) oh and this is literally gonna be made up and planned as we go because we only thought of a basic idea and were winging it so it's probably gonna be bad. Plus were lazy. Art credits are in the spoilers

But yep without further ado, the characters:

Title: Paintings and Murals

"You'll make a good leader someday Flynn. It's in your blood."

Hearing those words always makes you feel proud of yourself. Pride is such a powerful feeling, it fills you up with a burning sensation and brings upon a fighting spirit. Pride doesn't work well for everyone, it can either be a curse or a gift. To some it brings the will to go on, the will to stand up for what you believe in, and to some it kills, and destroys, and in the end there is nothing left to be proud of.

"Thank you your majesty." Flynn grinned, puffing out his chest. His sleek black fur; odd color for a Litten, shimmering slightly under the golden illumination of the gilded throne room. He may not have been very large, but he was powerful, brave, swift, and he wore his pride like armor. Being hand picked by King Bishop to be next in line was an honor -- heck, being picked by a king for any position of power would be something to brag about.

Flynn had walked the halls of Bishop's castle many times, and not many are blessed with the ability to do so. Nobody without royal bloodlines can even set foot in the courtyard. Flynn however was unique from the rest of the commoners. Unlike them, he shared the mark of pride branded on his shoulder that all the past kings of the royal family had shared, despite not being part of the great princes himself.

Nobody knew why or how he had received this mark -- whether he was born with it, or it was a given gift from deities is unknown. Nobody knew much about Flynn to begin with; he was always very reclusive and had but one friend. She found him as a kit and brought him to the castle upon seeing the mark of pride, risking the chance of being cast out for bringing in an outsider. The king however welcomed him with open arms and she was promoted to royal guard for bringing the next ruler into the picture.

The king needed Flynn, as there was no prince. There was no princess, nor duke, nor duchess; nobody was high enough in the ranks of the royal family to become Bishop's successor. Without a king there would be no kingdom, without a government there would be chaos. Nobody would have direction or laws, and on the contrary, the right king was needed or else the same scenario would play out. Flynn was perfect from the start, and with his training he would be a strong leader.

The kingdom itself was vast. Beyond the castle there were homes of many classes. Those closer to the royal family resided in more dazzling neighborhoods, their houses almost like palaces. Then there were the decent tiers, the average homes, and lastly the smaller homes where the less rich pokemon lived.

Nobody complained though, in fact the kingdom worked in peace and harmony. Higher ups would help the less fortunate, and the less fortunate were always willing to share what they had. It was law to always take care of one another when possible. Not everyone did, as there were the less social subjects who preferred to keep to themselves, but for the most part everything was perfect.

Everyone played a part, everyone had a talent, and art was valued throughout the land, and it was treated as a blessing to the royal family. The castle interior was lined with murals, stained glass windows, and carefully crafted banners.

The most special artworks were the paintings in room of the second to throne. The walls were decorated with murals of pokemon who had regal and God-like appearances. Many of them were millenniums old, but some of them were added in the past few decades.

Flynn always enjoyed looking at them, and his favorite of the bunch depicted a beautiful Rowlet, wings outstretched in front of the sun. Below her was the ancient unown language spelling out "hope." The painting was very well done, as if the great Arceus himself had hoof painted it and gifted it to the kingdom. The lighting and shading was mastered perfectly, and even the shadows below the Rowlet were placed perfectly. All but one that appeared a little off. He had seen it before, it seemed to glow slightly with a blue aura. It was slighty distorted compared to the rest of the shadows.

In the shadows of Flynn's room there was a hidden passageway blocked off by a curtain that seemed to blend in with the wall. It was as if there was something terrible hiding back there. Something nobody wanted to show.

And indeed there was something back there. Another mural, beautiful like the others, yet distorted, much worse than the shadow in the mural of the Rowlet. It had the same general shape as the shadow, but it had color. Faded, but it was there. It was unlike any pokemon he had ever see, and the paint was smeared as well. The only thing that was possible to make out was the faint glow of their icy blue eyes. It felt so wrong, like it radiated power that nobody was supposed to have. At the time Flynn had chosen to ignore it.

In the midst of good there is always a catch. Nothing is perfect -- in the depths of good there is always evil. There's always the choice to brush it off until it's too late to do anything about it. It should never have to get that far, but sometimes even the happiest have to face misfortune.

Title: A Box?

When you think of a princess, you think of a graceful damsel in distress who is forever awaiting her handsome prince charming. Rajani didn't come close to being a 'damsel in distress'. Having to flee from everything you hold dear is not graceful at all. In fact running from a crazed avian who wants to murder you isn't graceful either.

A Chespin, Gaia, whom has all control of surveillance, immediately alerted Rajani that someone was going to assassinate her for a... box, yes seriously a box. After she had heard the indescribable and laughable news, she immediately fled from where she called home, bringing the mysterious box alongside with her. Rajani let out a soft sigh thanking the deities for Gaia's warning. Gaia was trustworthy friend among Rajani, and she knew lying wasn't like her.

The box which she was wanted for, was a white and ivory colored cube with elegant rosemaling designs decorated around it. It had faint glowing foregone unown letters on it which engraved, "Only open when you have no one else to guide you." Rajani had never known what it meant, but she surely knew she wasn't planning on opening it anytime soon. She had gotten the strange box a long time ago as a present for her coronation. It was a remarkable and momentous occasion, she had gotten many thoughtful gifts that day, but the extraordinary box stood out to her. Though the memory was old and faded, she could still hear the echo of the encrypted words when she first held it. "Only open when you have no one else to guide you..." she shivered at the slightest thought of it. Knitting her eyebrows together she decided to focus on more happy memories.

Rajani was soaring above countless trees which were scattered for what seemed like miles. While flying she flapped her wings a bit more trying to remember some pleasant memories, but her wings were starting to ache from flying for so long. She let out a heavy sigh suddenly remembering the life she once had. She use to love to take flights out into her garden cascaded with beautiful roses and other arrays of colorful flowers, but that was long gone now. She had to focus on the future, if she even got to have one.

Doubt continued to fester itself inside of Rajani until she suddenly felt a sharp pain spreading through her wings which snapped her out of thought. She soon roughly glided down, her keen talons curling into a smooth rock to balance herself. After moments of adjusting herself she took notice to her wings; they were barely movable since she had been flying for such a lingering amount of time. They had a tight feeling in them and shrieked with exhaust every time she attempted to move them.

"Cramps... Of course." she cussed underneath her breath. She let out an irritated sigh, "Thank you wings! Thank you for locking up when I need you the most, you useless, unhelpful, ungrateful piece of-" She silenced herself when she felt a thrumming against her bag. She turned her head behind her, her eyes focused at her cross body bag. It was the box. She could feel it humming inside which meant it was still with her and didn't fall out during her long flight. She whispered a quiet 'thank you' to the sky and carefully pulled out the box.

Curiosity was nipping her like an innocent cat with lethal claws. Serafine- a talonflame- was going to kill her over a box..? The thought of the idea was insane, but... what was in it..? Open when you have no one else to guide you? What does that even mean? All these thoughts flooded to Rajani and she could answer none of them. She the mumbled the meaningless words to herself and put the box back into the bag. She sat upon the rock for a few more heartbeats, soaking in the beautiful day. She looked at where the sun was at, high noon. If she continued flying at this pace she could make it towards a cozy shelter by sunset. Standing up, she then promptly outspread her wings preparing to take flight once more.
