Ax decided not to take risks and go to the forest. "Don't fall for
it!" Carnelia yelled. "Do you want to die? I sure don't." Ax glared
at Carnelia. "Ah, fine, for my pal, but don't get annoyed when I
say 'I told you so!'" the vivillon landed on Ax's shoulder. Ax set
out for the forest.
"I-I'm not scared, Mid! I promise." Lis let out a scared chuckle,
gulping hard and clutching her arms.
Midna adjusted her mask, her right eye twitching. "Look, bonehead,
we can leave, if you want. I'm not forcing you...even though you
are a coward." she muttered, enjoying teasing the child.
Lis glared playfully at Midna, smiling weakly as she backed up.
Quickly, without thinking, she sprinted into the forest....
and tripped over a large branch, landing on the ground with a loud
'THUMP', and let out a yelp of surprise, and slightly, pain.
Ax ran to the forest as fast as she could. "Must you run so fast?"
Carnelia panted, barely keeping up. "You decided to come!" Ax
teased. "Because even though you're annoying and thickheaded,
you're my friend. My best friend. I could never let you down." the
vivillon replied. Ax started to tear up with emotion. "Y-You mean
it?" she replied. "Of course! You know I speak my word. Now, don't
crash into that tree." Ax ended up crashing into it anyway. "Ow."
she rubbed her head. "Well, at least we found the forest! I think."
she exclaimed.
Margie jumped from tree to tree. Leaf was in the lead, but only
because she was able to use String Shot. Margie almost slipped a
few times, but she regained her balance and kept going. After a
while, she slipped and hung on to a branch.
"Ready?" Carnelia asked. "Ready as I'll ever be." Ax replied. She
then bolted into the forest, laughing. "Catch me if you can, clumsy
butterfly!" she teased. "I'll show you how clumsy this butterfly
is!" Carnelia cried with a grin, zooming after Ax.
Lis groaned, sitting upright and shivering. Dirt covered her white
sweater, and her reached up, not surprised when she felt her nose
was broken, and bleeding.
Sighing, the girl stood, her blonde hair resting comfortably on her
shoulders.
Now it was time for Midna to be worried.
"L-L-Lis! Are you okay?!"
Lisa laughed, turning her eyes to Mid's concerned face. "Yeah,
yeah, I didn't think you'd ever be worried about lil' ol' me."
Midna blushed. "S-shut up!"
Lisa laughed once more, taking in her Pokemon companion's reddening
face. She sighed suddenly, cupping her hands to her mouth and
opening it to shout.
Marby and Sora entered the forest.
Another message. *click* A-are you here? it asked. It was clearly a girl's
voice. Anyway, I see you found the forest. There are a few other
people who got the message. The invasion is coming. This is the
last safe haven. Find the others. *click* It was so loud, Marby
thought the others must of heard it.
The girl made it to the edge of the forest. She was crying. She
lost her first pokemon, her family. For all she knew the people who
she sent the messages to thought it was a prank! A sick joke!
Ax heard someone shout "HELLO?! Anybody out here?!" and immediately
shouted "Yeah! I was told to come here from a message!" "I told her
it was a prank, but she wouldn't listen!" Carnelia yelled. "Shush!"
Ax told the vivillon.
Then she got the newest message. "Umm... What's invading?" Ax
wondered aloud. Carnelia got into a battle stance, just in case.
Margie made it into the forest and heard the message. She didn't
hear anyone else however. She jumped off of the branches and held
Leaf in her arms. She walked around, looking.
Marby and Sora heard four people yelling, and Sora evolved.
"Huh." the Gardevoir said.
They followed the voices. The mystery girl looked around for a small zorua, but found
none, so she continued looking, following the voice, until she saw
one.
Midna stared at Leaf with her right eye, her left being covered by
the mask, and chuckled lightly.
"Oh, cute! You think you can take me down, fluffball? Yeah, good
luck with that, sweetie." the Zorua said in a mocking tone, smiling
like the Chesire Cat.
Her fur bristled as she felt something touch her back.
She spun around, eyes narrowed, but relaxed when she saw Lis.
"Arceus, Lis, you scared the soul outta me." she quickly recovered,
eyes widening. "Actually, that was a lie. You didn't scare me at
all, pipsqueak."
"Yes, I do!" Ax said, walking towards the zorua. "So, are we
supposed to fend off this invasion or something?" "Whaddya think,
Ax? How else will we reclaim our home?" Carnelia replied. "By
ourselves? How will we do that?" Ax had a lot of questions. "Yes, a
few very heroic and powerful people and their not-even-legendary
pokemon will save the world by fending off an invasion." the
vivillon said sarcastically, rolling her eyes. Ax heard someone
call out, "Hello?" so she replied. "Hi."
