That was the important question? "I.. think cremé brûlée sounds good"
Kya wasn't about to admit he had no idea what a cremé brûlée
was, but hey it sounded french. Anyway, he said Yin was in the
laundry room, so now he just had to look for the laundry room.
What the heck was a craem broolae? "Surprise me, anyways where
exactly is the laundry room?"he thought it might be somewhere near
the servant room, he just can't let that room go can he. He swore
he heard the mienfoo say something about that earlier, must have
forgotten it already, seriously you damned druddigon. The pidgey
was calling him again, seriously this predatory instict is starting
to annoy him, and everyone else who's reading this as well I'm
pretty sure. (darn it narrator stop breaking the fourth wall)
"Wonderful. I'll prepare chocolate pudding another day. Cremé
brûlée is a custard-like dessert, derived from egg yolk and various
other secret ingredients." He sounded quite proud to say this,
though the moment did not last long.
"I'm afraid I can't tell you. The laundry-room is not a place we
usually show our guests. I'm certain that whatever Yin is washing,
she'll certainly be finished after dinner. Surely you may return to
the Labyrinth after a good meal? It does get lonely for the Master
to be without company, you know."
*sigh* Yang wasn't going to let them go. Anyway he was feeling
hungry so waiting for dinner didn't seemed like a bad idea. He
would have to spend more time with Napoleon, and probably with
Cell.
Uggh egg, not his favorite thing in the world, but he'll have to
bear trough it, he guessed. 'Why not? It's literally just the
laundry room" a growl in his stomach had his mind and body were at
a crossroad again "fine, but you're finding Cell for us, that is if
he's joining." (Napoleon will remember this) He, for a
moment, wondered if the rotom would join them, but then he was
reminded why he wouldn't like that from a slight shout in the
air…nevermind.
"I'm not sure." The Mienfoo answered with a smile, "She does as
she will, and the Master has given us orders to listen to her.
Figuratively, naturally, not, well--literally."
"Oh that simply wouldn't do. If it weren't the Master's orders, I'd
have barred the kitchen after all those appliances were stolen!"
And if the door-slamming was to be any indication: probably also
broken as well. Shaking his head, he set the stuffed Pidgey
carefully into a make-shift "oven". There was a fire inside the
'bucket', a rudimentary charcoal grill of some kind.
"And Cell would be...?" Yang stood to wash his paws, wondering
which of the guests' name was 'Cell'. Names were something of a
commodity in the mansion, for quite some time now actually.
Great, the reason why they couldn't just go trough is because
of…him, great. "You know, Cell, lucario with a snarky attitude and
always wears a mask." and one of the only people he might be able
to stand to talk to for an hour. So, what now? Were they just
waiting until it's dinner time? Sounds a bit boring to me, isn't it
you guys? (didn't I tell you to stop breaking the fourth wall?)
Someone who can't talk wasn't the best companion you could think
of.. but he couldn't think of anyone else who would stay with the
Kingdra so long, Kya would rather die in the labyrinth than
spend his life listening those rimes "I'm not going to search for Cell.. he'll probably find his way
back.. and the rotom is outside"
Main reason, he was tired of the screaming and door slaming.
"Ah him." There was a flicker of recognition that passed
through his features, and he nodded his head. "I shall help you,
then, dear guests. Shall we check his room first, or go forth in a
search pattern to find him? The mansion may be quite large, though
there are only so many rooms that are given to guests to
access."
"Uh.. his room.. i guess" Kya had no idea where Cell could be, he went looking for a
lantern or flashlight. There was nothing on the room he woke
up in, nothing he could remember anyway
They would probably find Watt slamming doors, but beyond some
screaming there was nothing he could do
"Very well." Without further preamble, Yang double-checked the
remaining appliances and food. Once he was satisfied, he led the
way out of the kitchens and up towards the floor with the guest
rooms.
To his minute relief, he did not hear very loud door slamming on
the wat.
Cell had found absolutely nothing useful in his room, of
course. Figures that there wouldn't be anything useful for
escaping, but he guessed the exercise in futility was best for the
sake of being thorough.
Having decided his room was useless, he had begun searching through
the other rooms. He was just about to enter Watt's room actually
when he spotted movement from the corner of his eye. Turning to
face Yang, he tried to frown. "Sup."
It seemed like he was the first one to respond, and quickly even,
how peculiar. "Evenin', "dinners bout' ready, oh and someone" he
said looking at the direction of the umbreon "kept a flashlight
from us." He noticed the other doors were open, he's been trying to
loot hasn't he. Wait, was he frowning, he does realize they can't
see trough the ma(ahem)…fine. He wondered why Watt wasn't screaming
his lungs out, did he even have lungs?
"I wasn't keeping the flashlight from you" he said more
hissing to himself than to the others. "You just left before I could say anything"
Cell looked surprised, or at least that's what Kya thought,
it was hard to see through the mask. He had been checking the rooms
and Yang wasn't going to be really happy about it
"Have you been opening all these doors, sir?" Both the Druddigon
and Umbreon were correct, he was not one bit happy about
seeing that.
He was very well aware of how daunting and confusing it must have
been for these mansion-guests. Thrust into a new place, with many
unfamiliar things (and dangers besides, down in the Labyrinth).
Having your room to yourself was the least of privacy that one
could expect, and yet...
"If you have, you'd best not have taken anything, sir. The Master
does not tolerate thieves very well, ever since the last--" Oh dear
him, his voice was starting to increase in volume, he was almost
shouting! Yang composed himself with a quick shake of the head.
"Dinner will be ready momentarily, I shall ring the bell when it
is."
Without another word, he went off to the kitchen. Presumably at
least.
"Ah huh." Wow, Cell did not see that one coming.
Old...K-something hiding something from them? Unbelievable. Before
he could sneer or comment on it, the butler's reaction had taken
him by surprise.
Because of course he was stealing from other pokes. If it
was something useful and they didn't have the brains to bring it
with them, then dang-right was he could to take it and use it.
Problem was that he couldn't find anything useful.
Yeesh.
"...You guys hungry?" Lames-ville. Totally. Lames-ville, that
question. But he refused to be the first one to admit he might've
been hungry.
Well that was unexpected Kya thought as he saw the Mienfoo
leaving "Uh.. kind of..."
he answered without really paying much attention he really was
surprised with Yang's reaction. Kya liked Yin more, she was
friendly and understanding, unlike the other Mienfoo. The thought
of Yin brought something to his mind..
"Oh.. here"
The Umbreon took the flashlight out of his pocket and handed it to
Cell
The fact that Yang raised his voice startled him a bit, he hasn't
seen him lose his cool before, granted that they haven't really
been talking for a while, but still. "Umm, not-" he was able to
utter before his stomach growled again "alright, so I'm a bit
hungry" his stomach growled again "okay, a lot." He wondered if
following the mienfoo was a good idea, nah probably not, he stared
back down the hallway, definitely not.
"Dinner it is then." Taking the flashlight, he hefted it in his paw
for a few moment. Gently tossing it up and down, "...I hate to say
it, but I think we might need mister loud-shock to help."
Because last he checked, Cell had no ability with
electricity or re-charging items that used electricity. Really.
Just what were the odds of that though, that they might need
that guy's help, of all people?
"I haven't seen him around"
It was strange, but the rotom's silence didn't bother him at all.
He liked it, some peace every once in a while.
The Umbreon started walking towards the stairs but suddenly
stopped, maybe thre was something Cell and Nap needed to do before
"Maybe he fell asleep?" Did ghosts even need to sleep? Cell
didn't know, but he guessed it would explain the silence. That or
the Rotom might've headed down into the Labyrinth again (it
was pretty deep down, after all).
He made to follow K-something, and nearly walked into the Umbreon
when he suddenly stopped. "Hey, what gives?" He could've sworn that
everyone agreed that dinner was a great idea right now.
Having washed, dried, and lightly pressed the sack--along with
mending it, Yin was making her way up the stairs to find the
guests. Specifically the Druddigon guest. (Oh dear, she hadn't
caught his name, had she? Maybe she should ask for it later.)
The Mienfoo maid was rather surprised to see the three of them
standing in the hallway, but it cut down on her search-time--so she
certainly wasn't one to complain. "Good evening guests! Are you
done exploring the Labyrinth today?"
It was a good inquiry, if she could say so herself.
Dear. Arceus. It has been literally...I dont know how many hours,
but it was long enough for Watt to explore the WHOLE labyrinth-
well, not the WHOLE labyrinth, just the parts that he didnt explore
before. The question DEFINITLY is, where that Persian is, or what
she is doing.
