Ok, so say in the hastags or forum search you are searching for, say, 'Bird that Flies' (IDK Why I chose that as an example). It will search that up, but it will also search up anything that has the words Bird, that, or flies. There should be a filter of some kind that only searches up anything that has exactly those words, which means anything that has ONLY bird that flies, not just one of those words. This is helpful for forum suggestions that way suggestions that have already been suggested don't get ressugested. This could be implemented in the hashtag search and forum search.

It might be just me, but I have never seen a case where it only searches one of the words.

As you may notice in the image above, both results have the words 'write' and 'post' in them- precisely what I searched for.

What I mean is, if will search those words up. You searched up post and write. But say you're trying to find a sentence. It will search it up, but also post that have only 1 of those words. I once searched up 'hey guys', and it searched up things that have only one word. So, it would be like:

First of all, "Hey Guys" wouldn't work at all because "Hey" is a 3-letter word.
Secondly, no, it always searches up posts with all words in them. Here's an example:
If I search for "this overcomplicated search term", there are no results.

However, "this", "overcomplicated", "search" and "term" all return results when searched separately (or as any reasonable combination.)

Have you tried in the hashtag search? It searches up any feed.

I kind of support this, it would be nice that the search bar also had a filter that only searched in one subgroup. For example, if you are going to suggest something and you try to find if your suggested has already suggested, the filter would be nice because it would only search the suggesting subgroup. You would choose what subgroup you want to search in. If you don't like the search bar only showing results of one subgroup, there should be an option that saids "Show all posts" or something.

This suggestion, as it is, is already in place, as the search only pulls up posts with all words included. The only thing I can think of that would make some think otherwise, is that it includes words in spoilers, which you can't see, unless you open the spoiler box.

I'm not locking this thread, as the search for hashtag isn't that specific, and it'll pull up feeds with only one of the search terms, though I'd advise editing your first post to reflect that.

As for a filtered search bar, that has already been suggested here, so please show your support in the original suggestion and maybe go give it a bump :)
