So therefore I'll have 14 boxes just sitting there doing nothing. That's why I want the ability to sell them.

Lots of people, including me, don't want excess boxes. That is because users can now expand their boxes. They will not need the boxes because they can fill up their other boxes by expanding and expanding.
What's the point in just keeping unwanted boxes when you can sell them for PD, to maybe expand other boxes. :b

Some people do not want to have a long list of boxes, and some prefer to put everything in one or two boxes.
You're just simply trying to find small, un-necessary points to not support this. You may not need this feature, but others do. Just because you don't need it, doesn't mean you can't support this to take this feature away from those who do need this.

Whereas others are saying "It's not that the boxes we bought are useless, we just don't want to look at them anymore when we can expand our boxes now and take up less space."
So, it comes down to either this idea is pointless or this idea is good based around the idea it makes storing Pokemon look better.
I mean, I can support this idea for people who want to save space by selling their boxes and expanding the ones they have. If selling people would obviously not be a able to get more PD than they used to pay for it, too much abuse, so that isn't a problem. If merging like Liirah said it seems like a good idea. This is just something I wouldn't use probably since I didn't have access boxes before the update, but it doesn't mean that other people wouldn't use it.
So again, I understand somewhat what both sides are saying, and hope I helped clarify the opposing side. But I can support this idea if a good amount of people would use it.

Before the update to expand boxes, I bought A LOT of boxes. I wanted my dex all neat and everything, and that meant for all the pokemon, plus trade, plus a hoard box, plus Event and ALT form that you would need over eight boxes. Now, you can expand. If you look at what I have, I have a Pokedex box now (expanded to fit 1000 pokemon, so it will hold ALL the dex I need, plus all the alt forms), a Special/Shiny box (includes events), a trade box, and a hoard. I have a couple other boxes I use occasionally, but not really a ton I am planning a couple other hoards, yada yada.
But either way, I now have 3 extra boxes that will always be empty. Why? Because I have my organizational system down now, and putting pokemon in the extras would look messy.
So I support.

Support. I really want to expand my boxes so it's one box for each region instead of it being scattered like it is now, but I don't want to have a bunch of empty boxes that I'll never use. So I've yet to expand. I'd even be fine with just giving Bill the boxes with no PD return, I just really wanna get rid of some of them.
