Storyline:

A monster has invaded the cat’s territory, one that never shows it’s face. One day the cats wake up to find a cat dead, a friend, a sibling, a parent. No one knows when it will strike or how to take it down, or do they?

Quickpaw's P.O.V.

- Trying to stay asleep a little longer, Quickpaw closed his eyes tighter trying to close out all of the sound. He finally gave up when Thornpaw nudged him telling him there was something he needed to see.
- "What is it Thornpaw? I haven't gotten much sleep lately..." He sighs.
- "Fine show me what it is." He follows her out of the den to find a large crowd in the middle of the meeting area. Thankful for his small body he slipped through the thick crowd where he was stopped near his mentor, Bluestorm.
- "What happened Bluestorm?" His mentor barely glanced at him then spoke,
- "So you finally woke up this morning huh?" Embarrassed he looked at his paws. "I'm sorry, I was just-" He was cut off by Bluestorm's cold stare. Even more embarrassed Quickpaw shrunk.
- "Coldeyes was killed." He said quietly. Quickpaw stood frozen. Coldeyes was dead? But how? He tried to look through the rest of the crowd but couldn't. "Let's go Quickpaw." And with that they slipped out of the crowd and into the forest.

Glowfoot's P.O.V.

- Glowfoot stepped out of the nursery and yawned. The kits were finally better which meant she was finally able to eat. She picked up a small mouse and walked over to a moonlit patch. As she slowly ate the mouse she watched the day shift come back and switch with the night shift. her brother Oakfall noticed her watching and padded over to her. He lay next to her and whispered, "We really miss you as a warrior.'' She sighed and rested her head against her brother's shoulder. "I know." They sat in silence until Oakfall said he was going to bed.
- She looked up at the night sky filled with awe. She hadn't stopped to see the night sky since she had first become a warrior. She would need an apprentice very soon. She wasn't as young as she used to be. She would ask if she could take Poppykit under her wing when she became Poppypaw.
- As she was thinking these things she heard rustling Thinking Oakfall was coming back to talk she relaxed. It's nothing to be worried about, she thought to herself. When the rustling got louder and no one had come out, she looked behind her to see a large silhouette. Before she could move, a paw hit her throwing her across the camp. She lay out of breath and unable to move. The thing, whatever it was, reached her in only a few paces. Before she could scream out for help it bit her throat and pulled. Her vision turned black as she lost blood and she closed her eyes as she entered Starclan.
