"Allow me to educate both of you in the operation of the Ruins," Toriel smiled before stepping on the buttons on the floor in a specific order. Then she pulled a lever. The door opened.

"The Ruins are full of puzzles. Ancient fusions between diversions and door keys. One must solve them to move from room to room. Please adjust yourselves to the sight of of them." she walked past the door.

Liecht walked forward before noticing something on the wall. She walked over to read it.

Only the fearless may proceed. Brave ones, foolish ones. Both walk not the middle road.

Lilly walked closer to the buttons and observed them. She then walked closer to the lever and began to flick it up and down randomly. The door began to open and close.

Toriel suddenly came back in.

"My child, uh, please do not play with the doors! They are very fragile!" and then she went back out.

Liecht looked at Lilly before she began to giggle.

Liecht followed right after. The sound of rushing water immanently reached their ears.

"To make progress here, you will need to trigger several switches. Do not worry, I have labelled the ones you need to flip." She looked at both of them. "Liecht gets to flip the switches. Sorry Lilly, but I am afraid of what will happen if you flip the switches like crazy again."

Liecht tried to cover the laugh that tried to surface.

Lilly looked at Toriel. She smiled and went to a sign on the wall.

Stay On the Path.

Lilly went back to the path and followed Toriel.

When she looked to her left, a lever with multiple yellow arrows was on the wall.

Liecht shrugged.

She went over to the wall and pulled on it.

Toriel smiled and nodded before continuing on.

"This is just getting weirder and weirder.." she murmured to herself.

She saw some small rivers across the room, so she sat by one and waited.

Liecht walked on another bridge and saw two levers this time.

She flipped the one that had the yellow arrows over it.

Toriel smiled. "Splended! I am proud of you, little ones. Let us move to the next room."

"As humans living in the Underground, monsters may attack you. Both of you will need to be prepared for this situation. However, worry not!" she smiled at them comfortably. "The process is simple. When you encounter a monster, you will enter a fight. While you are in a fight, strike up a friendly conversation. Stall for time. I will come to resolve the conflict. Practice talking to the dummy," she pointed to the worn out dummy by the wall.

"Anyone can start first. Don't worry."

"Uh, Okay?" Liecht slowly walked up to the dummy.

You encountered the dummy. What will you do?

Suddenly, four buttons appeared in front of her.

She panicked and pressed Mercy. Then Spare.

The Dummy said nothing.

So she kept doing it.

The dummy rolled it's eyes and spun out of the room, clearly bored.

"Uh..?" She looked to Toriel. Toriel had an eye brow raised.

"..."

"..."

Toriel just shook her head and tried to hide a laugh as another dummy spun in, taking place of the other one.

Liecht rubbed her head sheepishly as she walked back to Lilly.

Lilly slowly walked up to the dummy.

You encountered the dummy. What will you do?

Four buttons appeared in front of her. She pressed the Act button, and then the talk button.

"Uhh.... Hello?"

It doesn't seem much for conversation. Toriel seemed pleased with Lilly.

"Very good Lilly! Also Liecht?" Liecht tilted her head. "Uh, try not to always bore them half to death alright?"

Liecht blushed before nodding.
