So, I am wondering what is going to happen with the Shiny Legendary Dogs ilegally obtained during last night's calendar bug (and in case there is any Manaphy, too). I see people trying to get benefit of it without any remorse at all (plus the ones that already took benefit by obtaining them for themselves from the same account). I just talk about the shinies, as I think tracking the "normal" versions is harder and perhaps impossible to find them all (I don't have any idea about webpage codes, so in this case I say it with a bit of ignorance)

Of course, I have proofs of what I'm saying, I don't talk without knowledge (and like me, other users have proofs too). The thing is...is it fair for the players that try to get them by legal methods that this Pokemons remain in the page like anything had happened?

In my case, I'd love so much to get a shiny Entei. I've lost tons and tons of GC playing Coinflip, I try to save every single GC i get, and I still have a long way to go...but I don't care, someday I will reach my dream.
As me, I know many players that dream of a Shiny Dog too, and I know in some particular cases how much effort they're putting in getting the GC day by day since a very long time. It is very sad to see that in practically one night (or less...in hours) a user has gotten like 4 or 5 of this shinies taking benefit of a bug.

I see Riako has already solved the bug and taken back all the ilegally obtained GC...but I would like to know if there will be any possible fair solution for this.

I believe-and certainly hope-there is a system for adoption history.
If there is a user who adopted the Legendary Dogs/Manaphy illegally, they'll be able to track them through that.

to get the shiny dogs with that bug they would have had to click the bug at the very least 10,000 times, thats 2mil game coins, and youre saying they did that for multiple of the shinies... for manaphy alone thats 25,000 clicks. im not saying its impossible, but i think its highly unlikely they would have spent soo much time on a bug, when the concentration game gives 5000 coins a minute.

and im sure that riako will do everything he can to make sure any exploiters get what they deserve. so i wouldnt worry about it too much.
Pet Dark Prince Zorua for good luck ;)

Millions of GC in few hours and in the same night where there is a bug that gives you 200 GC by just clicking on it multiple times? So many coincidences, don't you think?
Of course I know that Concentration Game gives you 5000 GC a minute, but the time for solving it, for obtaining the GC and getting the prices...they don't match at all xD

Riako has removed all the GC people got themselves from this bug, so I'm pretty sure the Pokemon adopted with that GC are removed too?
If not, then they will be removed. I could imagine it would be a longer process, but they will be removed.

I whole-heartedly agree.

By choosing NOT to abuse the bug, I look at all the pokemon people farmed for (seriously, look at the sheer number of shiny dogs hatched yesterday, or dogs in general) and feel like those of us who didn't cheat lost out more.

I feel while it may be difficult to track which ones were cheated, it is necessary to preserve fairness.

But what about the people who bought the cheated ones from the original trainer? If they delete them that would scam us outta what we pain, so for that reason i dont think these things will be removed

Why would you buy something you know was cheated?

By not doing anything, it will mean that people can cheat as much as they want and nothing will happen. It's like a price for cheaters, they make profit with bugs like this last one and others take part in their game. And fair players? What happens to them? They're dumb for not taking part in that?

I totally agree with Entei_Soul. We kept our eyes on a group of users and I can tell, without naming any of them, that a user, registered 4 months ago and with an online time of just 13 hours (at least 5 of them gotten that bad day), hatched, at least 5 SHINY dogs and 2 normal Manaphy. This user is still poor (no money, no rare pokemon) and all the shiny dogs have been given to other 2 users (not "invisible" users, people that is known around the site). I reported all of them, and I really hope that they will be locked permanently, because this behavior is sign of a deep contempt for rules.

And what about the users that are trying to sell that ilegal Pokemons? Because I truly doubt they don't know where they come from and how they were obtained

Do we pretend that nothing happens for doing that too? :)

I am in full support on everything Entei_Soul has said. i couldent of worded it any better myself. along with Professor_Elm, ive been keeping an eye on a few shiny dogs ive seen floating around with ridiculous odds of obtainability. with this much talk about the situation, im sure something will be done about it. hopefully

I totally agree. Those Shinys (And normal Pokemon) which were obtained with the bug they should be removed. The number of shiny dogs increased in these days...

Sincerely hope (and doubt) that something will be done.

It needs to be though. Its irritating. And I've been watching some of the shiny dogs being passed around...pretty coincidental, eh?

I don't think there's anything they can do. If User A abused the glitch to get a legendary Pokemon, and User B didn't know that and purchased the Pokemon from them with something legit, it wouldn't really be fair to strip User B of the ill-gotten Pokemon.

In most cases of unknowingly purchasing stolen (in this case cheated) goods, the items still need to be taken away/returned to their original location or owner.

So in this case, the "stolen dogs" would be returned to the game center anyway.

In these cases, you aren't to blame, and sometimes you get a small compensation for what you spent - so tobi could choose to refund them a small amount of nuggets/pd

Leaving them however still leaves everyone who didn't cheat or buy a cheated dog at an unfair disadvantage.

If you can read this, you know how to read.

"unknowingly" is something I can't believe to.
Anyway, what I want most of all is that the people that directly aubsed the bug and the ones that got the "stolen" dogs for free (or something like that) get what they deserve. I believe that Riako is doing something about that, but it would be nice if a mod comments here to tell us what's going on and what's going to happen.

Don't worry, Professor_Elm, the issue is not being ignored :) It is actively being worked on by the staff; but it needs some time to discuss the extent and the consequences of this situation, as well as the execution of possible punishments (i.e. warnings, removal of GC's or Pokémon).
