Welcome all to Pokemon tales. Here, I will make up stories based off my Pokemon and their nicknames (mostly shinies, but I might have others here). Most of these stories will be derived from the Mythologies of different cultures, so if you are not into that kind of thing, this is not the kind of FF is probably not for you. People are free to comment here on the stories. My stories will be in bold so that people can differentiate between comments and the story. These stories might be short, they might be long. Each depends.

Son of the Sultan

Diana was walking through her garden tending to her Pokemon and plants when she noticed her shiny Dragonair staring at his reflection in a mirror, tears in his eyes. "Hey, what's wrong?" She asked him. She went up to him and sat next to him. She found him as a shiny Dratini, in the wild. He was one of the Pokemon she was able to communicate with telepathically once she befriended it. He wouldn't tell her anything about himself, except to that he only wanted to be evolved into a Dragonair and to call him "Son of the Sultan". It was an interesting name, but it had come with no explanation. She adhered to his wishes, though, evolving him into a beautiful shiny Dragonair and calling him by this long name. However, today was the day when he'd tell her his secret. He was quiet for a while as she sat next to him. He didn't even curl around her, like he usually did. Then, in a soft, calm voice, he told his story:
"A long, long time ago in a distant land, I was but yet a small young prince, as my name might've suggested. My father was a very cruel ruler, killing any person who opposed him. Finally, one day, the gods could take it no longer; the country was falling apart. They took action by giving a young man the path to the hidden magical lamp through a dream. The next day, he went on his way to obtain the lamp, successful finding it and bringing it back. However, that day my dad decided to kill a young lady for breaking one of his prized possessions... The lady happened to be that young man's lover."
He closed his eyes after this, more tears flowing. "What happened after that?" Diana asked him, encouraging him to go on. Again, he paused for a while, but then continued:
"Bent on getting revenge he rubbed the lamp, summoning the genie and commanding him to kill me, the Sultan's son, to show his the meaning of sorrow. He told the genie to do this when he met up with the Sultan, the next day, so that he could watch."
"Hey, that's not cool! He should've killed the Sultan, if he wanted revenge!" Diana said.
"Yes, but he wanted the Sultan to living knowing the meaning of sorrow, to understand how the people feel. So, the next day the young man meets up with the Sultan, the Genie coming out of the lamp as soon as he made it to the Sultan. He explained to the Sultan why he had brought a genie with him. It was too late for the guards to stop the genie however. He levitated them away and began concocting the magic it would take to kill me. However, at the last second, as the genie was about to summon the magic directly at me. The Sultan threw himself at the genie. The sadness of being alone was too great. My mother already died at a very young age, so to lose me would leave him lonely. The genie was too distracted to stop him and the Sultan himself being great in size and density, he threw the genie off, the genie accidentally sending a different kind of magic in my direction. The magic he threw was a combination of a shape-shifting spell and a powder that would send one to the future. So that is what the spell would do: it would change me into a Dratini and send me to this time period. Before I could disappear completely, my father yelled to me...
"No, my son! Remember, no matter what, you are the Son of the Sultan!""

What happened after that? Did the Sultan change? Did he let the young man live? Did he escape?" Diana asked, curiously. He turned his head away, before answering:
"I don't know. All I remember is ending up here. I wanted to be a Dragonair, because it reminded me of my mother, the way she used to dress and everything. So, in taking my dad's words as my nickname and mom's looks, I can remember both in the time I live."
Diana nodded in understanding, petting him before getting up to leave. She decided she'd give him some alone time. However, before leaving, she said to him, "Just remember: Be happy that you still have the option to wake up alive and happy, everyday."

Alright, since a lot of people voted for my shiny Magikarp to be next, I shall make a story about her. :3

Bless Me Ultima

Diana was walking through her meadow and decided to visit the Mystical Waters. This puzzling water was a kind she had found on her adventures when she had met suicune; its touch had turned some of the water of a lake into this interesting kind of water.
As she got to the edge of the giant fountain and sat there, she noticed something sparkly swimming towards her. "Ah, hello there, Bless Me Ultima!" She giggled as she greeted her pokemon. Even though she's had the pokemon for a while, it still felt funny calling her by this name. When she had found and caught it, she decided to name it after one of her favorite books from High School, being that this golden carp reminded her greatly of it.
Suddenly, Bless Me Ultima flopped out of the fountain and began flailing in a certain direction. Diana giggled and went after it. "Hey, what are you doing? Come back!" She chased after it, but the fish was going unusually fast and was easily dodging her attempts. She didn't have the Magikarp's pokeball with her, so she had no choice but to follow it. Busy trying to catch the mischievous little pokemon, she barely realized that she had entered the woods nearby. Only did she noticed, when her pokemon had taken her to a place with strange markings all over the leaves.
"Huh? What's this?" She looked at the leaves for a bit, seeing a bunch of -what looked like Unowns- except in a completely unfamiliar language.
Could these be Unowns of a distant culture from a distant time period? She continued to follow her Magikarp inside. Soon, they met a dead end.
"Hah! I got you no-" Just as she had spoken, the Magikarp flopped right through a wall. She had no clue how that fish had done it. She put her hands in front of her, testing the wall. Her hands went through, too. "Is this some kind of portal? I sure can't see anything." She tried walking through it and got to a completely different place. "Huh. Surely enough, it is."
She looked around her. The area gave her a sad, melancholy feeling as she looked around. It looked like an ancient city. The stuff was in ruins, but mostly standing well. It looked like it hasn't been touch by mankind's hands for a couple 1,000 years. She saw an old rocking chair near a house, a bowl filled with food which had turned to grime and stone by now, even a shirt half-sewn was laying on a table. It looked like the people of the town just suddenly left, without packing or anything.
Moments later, Bless Me Ultima came flopping back. She continued to flop on her spot. "I get it, you me to follow you." She began doing so, and upon moving towards the Magikarp, it began flopping back in the direction it came from.
Soon, they had stopped at a river. This river spanned a wide range of the area. As she was busy wondering why her Magikarp had brought her here, she noticed a Magikarp's head bob out and then back into the water. As she looked more closely, she noticed more of them. One of them even looked like it was wearing a shirt. She began to chuckle, until she realized what all this meant.
"Bless Me Ultima...are these...people?" The Magikarp jumped into the water and went to great the other Magikarp. They began following her around as she swam and then stopped with she stopped in front of Diana. "D-Don't tell me you're a human, too. I already couldn't stand the idea of my Dragonair being one..." The Magikarp jumped out of the water and flopped somewhere else, this time. She followed it, until they came across a bunch of pictures on the stone slabs that made up the walls of a few buildings. They looked like they were drawn with chalk, or something similar. It basically showed an image similar to the the one the story, Bless Me Ultima, told. Except this time, it showed the god being split into many golden magikarps, sometimes even residing in eggs where a shiny Magikarp would be sure to hatch.
"You're one of those incarnations..." She realized this, now. She basically owned the incarnation of an ancient deity who loved humans. She couldn't say she didn't like the thought of that. "No wonder you make me smile, constantly."
For the next few hours, she sat and watched her shiny swim with the other Magikarp. It made her happy to she the Magikarp with its people, but seeing these humans who have been transformed into Magikarp made her sad. One great civilization left untouched because its residents were pokemon.
Seeing that Diana was becoming more and more sad at the scene in front of her, Bless Me Ultima decided that it was time to flop back home. She followed the Magikarp, her shoulders dropped like she was a flower wilting. As they made it back to the entrance of the forest, her little pokemon spoke.
"Now you know where this place is. Nobody else has discovered it. My people have been made immortal, but cursed to remain Magikarp. I hope one day you can reverse the curse."
This brought shock upon her as this pokemon had never spoken before. Her voice was booming and powerful, almost like that of a powerful deity. After that, however, it didn't speak, again. No matter how much she tried to get her to, it was no use.
She finally gave up and carried her back to the pond.
"Alright, I'll make your wish come true, one day." Diana said, before leaving.
