I've decided to create a journal based on creating my website. I thought it would help me keep track of things.

So far I found out I will need to learn JavaScript codes in order to create the site. Being limited on time, information and money I am certain that the progress of the site will likely be slow. I'm unable to use any premade scripts so I'm starting from scratch, I don't feel confident in that. For the sprites of the site I have no artists. My experience is basic html codes.

Title: Plans: 1

Instead of going with a basic drop down menus ice decided on a tabbed navigation. I thought it would it would be easier and something new from menus. I'm hoping instead of doing forums as a way of group communication I'll do something that is similar to Facebook and Ovipets. I'll be starting on it Monday. Here's what I had in mind...

Battle Gym
On this page people will be able to go up against legitimate gyms. At the end of the month the gym leaders will be exchanged

To become a gym leader
(Unless reserved by staff)
- Must have acquired a certain number of badges.
- Pay a particular fee.
- Win against the other applicants.
- Be a Premium player
- Been on the site for certain amount of time.

Onto becoming a gym leader
- Set up a team related to the chosen gym.
- Mon through Friday must complete a certain number of battles.

Title: Day Three

Day 3 of Coding

Overview
I spent the little time I had to work on the virtual pet site creating the tabbed navigation. It was rather frustrating seeing as though I couldn't find a site that made it easily understandable to were the css code went or had script (which I didn't have to download) to give something to learn from, but with only seconds to spare to leave I finally got a script. Tomorrow I'll be able to play around with the script and figure out different things. My goal is to have the tabbed navigation style done before Wednesday.. This is because I need to use that time trying to make the user's page, as for right now I don't even know what codes are needed for this.

Wen-Friday: Codes for accounts and profiles.

Today's Conclusion
Although it was rather frustrating, which is rare for me sense I usually love working through these issues, I feel like I made a big leap towards the layout. It sounds rather stupid to think that seeing as though I have only managed to get the script for tab navigation and still haven't styled it that I feel happy but it makes me feel confident. Then there is the fact of choosing colors.
