I'm neutral on this topic, ~~lolpls~~ I'm not really the judgey type, nor the person who would card. However, I found SE NOT! kinda interesting, I mean it does put it in a different perspective entirely but who really does that w/ anime. ~~what?~~ Anyways, yes SE NOT! had its differences yet it also had points that intrigued me~

~~It's ok I know the feel.~~

I'll admit that it wasn't awful, but considering it was meant to show another side of the original show I don't think it fit in very well- like you said, the entire tone (and even the art style) was different.
I didn't hate NOT! but I would certainly be ok with getting a proper sequel/series remake. I mean as a series despite being short it wasn't that bad just... I didn't think it matched the original Soul Eater.
I could go into more detail, but I'm trying to keep this short, so... yeah.

Ahaha i just finished reading the manga....im really really sad its over.
probably just gonna rewatch the anime...

I have a question for everyone:
Do you prefer the anime ending or the manga ending? and why?
(to avoid spoiling the endings for others please put the "why" part in a spoiler^^)

I liked them both honestly and its hard for me to chose...
the manga one is probably slightly better.
even though im bummed that we never got to see what happened to Crona on the moon....
The fact that they left off with things to question (more so than the anime in my opinion) makes it interesting(that being: what about kidd? what happened to Crona? how about Maka and Soul?...).and the fact that Kidd is able to progress more so than in the anime is really cool to see in the manga...The maddness was even more of a villain....
however id like to add i really need to rewatch the anime...so i might be forgetting something...

Moon, I am honestly a bit jealous that you were able to read it so quickly. We're supposed to be the same age- stop being better at enjoying life than me!!

Personally, I liked the manga's ending way better. The story felt more developed and the final battle was more drawn out and seemed more 'real' to me. In the anime it was sort of short and squeezed into only a few episodes. I guess- to me- it felt a bit rushed and not a good show of the series as a whole. There was also some really cool good plot and character development that wasn't in the anime.
Personally, I'd really like if they remade the anime but based on the manga. It's been done with series before, so I say Wynaut?
