"Ah yes, it's that way, take the third left and the second right and you're there."
"Thank you, sir," Bastion raised his hand in thanks as he walked away, continuing his stroll towards his destination.

Mitoki was welcomed to her surprisingly large room. She would be sharing the building with others for the time being until she was designated a partner, but she didn't mind. As long as the others were nice of course, Mitoki wouldn't have a problem. She thanked the one who welcomed her in, and placed her hands on her front shoulders. Mitoki tapped a hoof softly on the wooden floor, listening to the acoustics carefully.
The centauress reached into a side satchel and nabbed a rather large sandwhich. It contained mostly vegetables, but there was some turkey breast slipped in there. Turkey breast sandwiches were here favorite, and was one of the only meats she would eat from time to time. Her stomach could handle little bits of meat here and there, but her diet depended heavily upon fruits, vegetables, and beans. Mitoki explored her rather large room in glee as she ate her sandwich giddily.
Her thoughts went to things other than sandwiches and gigantic beds, and instead to a slightly more important matter. I hope I'm paired with someone who's... Kind. Yes. Kind. Kind enough to help me around here, kind enough to tell me I look nice today, kind enough to like a horse lady thing. The centauress giggled to herself at that thought. Mitoki sat down on her bed and looked around, her thoughts now pondering her future lover.
"Smells strange," he noted audibly as the door closed behind him. Most new homes did, from his experience. His senses were rather keen compared to ordinary humans. Hehe, probably because I'm such an animal. Get it? Cause I can l can actually be an animal? Bastion laughed to himself. I'm so funny.
"Geez, the place is so empty, I wish the old tenant would have left more of their crap lying around," Bastion muttered. The only thing left behind was an old bed. There wasn't even a couch. Not that it mattered much, he would probably be moving out soon anyways, but he enjoyed having a place to lounge. He belly-flopped onto the bed, testing how comfortable it was. I suppose it'll do, for now, he thought as he rolled onto his back and closed his eyes.

”Hello There! I am Alter Ego, your technological guide!"
Mitoki took another polite bite of her sandwhich and dusted her face gently with a napkin. A knock at the door surprised her slightly, and the person who welcomed her in called out to her.
"I have some mail for you!" They spoke with a gentle tone. "Would you like me to bring it to you?"
"Yes please." Mitoki replied sweetly, getting up from the bed. The door opened and the person handed over a few envelopes. The centauress thanked them as they walked out, and sat back down to open the letters. One was from her previous homes address, the other from the government. Her eyes widened and a soft smile on her face gently glowed.
She opened the one from her old home first. Her father had jammed a decent amount of money into the envelope and left a note inside. Mitoki read it to herself.
'Mitoki, I know you said not to do this, but everything in my head told me you would need it. Keep it close, secret and safe. Make sure that you let me know you made it safe and sound in any way possible. Everyone at the farm misses you and wishes you well, including me.
-<3 Pop'
Mitoki wiped a few tears from her eyes, then closed the envelope and tucked it into her shirt. She was glad her father missed her. Although she wished her Pop wouldn't have sent her so much of his savings. She would probably end up sending most of it back. Mitoki turned her attention to her other envelope, the one from the government. It had the words 'Assigned Partner Enclosed Within' labeled on it. The centauress opened it up swiftly, slightly excited to open it. Mitoki unfolded the paper and scanned for the name.
"Bastion Verhoef"
Mitoki closed her eyes and imagined to herself what he might've looked like. She layers on her bed and continued reading with a slightly giddy grin.

anyWAY I'm back and I'm sorry I was gone for such a long time /shot]
Kamiya had found his home and explored it for a short while, finding his new house satisfactory, if not a bit cramped. He was now walking down the street again, a bag full of food and other necessary trinkets in his arms. At this point, he simply hoped he didn't appear too strained--he hated to admit that he was not the strongest physically, and this bag was currently stocked to the brim, making it a bit difficult to carry. He walked onward to his home, forcing his face to remain as calm as possible, though he found he had to bite his bottom lip to do so with any success.
