My friend Tess has a flute and a piccolo. She forgot to bring her flute to band class one day, so she used her piccolo instead. There was one or two other flute players playing piccolo that day.

...Let's just say that the oboes were not amused.

xD I know how that goes. I'm stuck on the end with foot facing outwards for a reason. I'm our only picc, so everyone knows when I screw up.

The best was when we were playing a Star Wars arrangement with Duel of Fates, and I had some high Es right in a row with just a short pause in between right at the end, where there's a big Timpani solo. The first time we went through that part, the Timapanist totally missed the solo entirely, so my director blew up. He said he thought the fire alarm was going off. I am now nicknamed the Fire Alarm. >D

Umm...hi. I'm Tema, and I play and write. I play acoustic, bass, and electric...and drums, too.

I play everything from ballady-stuff to hardest of rock. I'm in a band. The band is called "The Tainted" and were going to play at Warped Tour (as a local group for in-betweens and such) but our drummer got sick and we had to cancel. I rarely get to play anything, but I play bass when I do get to play.

Umm...I listen to a lot of metal and rock, and I love Owl City for some strange reason.

Welcome, TemaPup! Hopefully you'll have fun in our little group, but there's not much going on right now...:p
I haven't listened to many of Owl City's songs, but from what I've heard, they're good! And I've never been in a band, but some acquaintances and I enjoy playing together~

It's like...we're all girls....no guy music-lovers? ;-;

Thanks. I'm sure I'll love it.

I like things like Hospital Flowers and Dementia from Owl City, moreso than their other stuff. Great songs. :3 I have a Spotify playlist of Owl City for when I want just calm music.

Playing with friends is so much fun. It might be more fun than a band, actually. I get yelled at a lot and blamed for problems, since I'm not an important member.

Hey :) I can play the violin and piano quite well, but I'm also a beginner at the ukelele, guitar, piccolo and a few other instruments.

I compose and play instruments, composing more than playing I suppose.

I listen to classical music in my free time, I can't stand the loud rock most of the time. x3

Yeah, it is kind of funny how it's mostly girls...but the same goes for all the RP threads. Maybe it's just the girls who like to get social on the forums. *shrugs*

Buried under other topics...again....

Well, I have a mini-announcement! I've finished* "Arcade" on the piano and now I'm learning video game music~
So....I've decided that I'll be focusing on Zelda songs first (thanks again to Death), then songs from an RPG** I play....

Any other games that have flute or piano-worthy songs? I'd like to try them, even if there aren't sheets. /D

*Most of the song is actually nigh impossible due to drums, alien sound effects, and lack of sheet music for them. But I made the best of it anyways....those low notes...>.<
**It's RuneScape, but I somehow feel like I'm advertising or something if I say it..... x3

Nice. I've got Link and Zelda Find Midna memorized now. It's just like Zelda's Lullaby, but the left hand is a bit different, I believe.

My grandma heard me playing it and wanted the sheet music. It was funny.

But anyways, my parents said that I could order the ocarina, so we might order it sometime today. (I'm so excited!) It's a 12-hole ocarina that looks like the Ocarina of Time and comes with a songbook...full of Zelda ocarina songs, eeee!

Since we're on the topic of Zelda music, can I just say I wish ZREO (Zelda ReOrchestrated) would put out their sheet music. It makes me really sad that they aren't making new stuff anymore, too.

Well, I gave Google a simple search query and found this and this for Zelda songs. I'm definitely far from being an expert on guitars, tabs especially. I would also guess that you've taken a look at those links, (haha, Link) but just in case. :P And as for Vocaloid songs, I've found it quite challenging just to find decent piano sheets. But anyways! Hopefully it helps some, and if not, I will continue the search tomorrow morning! >w<

Not that it really matters much, but I'm sorry I didn't see this earlier. /D

I've been teaching my little sister to play Viva la Vida. Coldplay, yeah! It was strange when she asked, because whenever I played it, she showed no interest in ever wanting to learn it, but now all of a sudden she does...? My awesomeness must be rubbing off on her FINALLY. Only trouble is, she's eleven years old and isn't all that great at piano yet, and considering the song is, oh, roughly nine pages long with chords almost every note, it'll take some work. Wish me luck. XD

Good luck, Death! My 'lil sisters are toddlers, and they don't seem interested in learning piano at all...but that's probably just because they're too young. I tried teaching them the ABC song, but they kind of....ran away....
Oh well, maybe someday. :p

And you all now have another girl! I just began to learn guitar, used to know violin at the wonderful age of 7-ish (I think) and then forgot it (because I didn't know what happened when you don't play an instrument for a long time), and I have mastered... 1 song on a piano. Let me tell you my oh-so dramatic story of 1 song on the piano (I literally don't know anything about piano).

One summer day, I was bored. Then I looked up pokemon oracion. I found piano sheet music. Figured out the notes and played it on an app. The end.

Anyway, someone mention lullabies? I'm learning a song called dango daikazoku. I think it'd be easy for you guys. Only five fingers or so to play.

(= Hello, Kazumi! Welcome to our little music club.

Dangos? Oh, from Clannad? ^w^ A friend of mine's a big fan and sings it every time I see her. You know, I haven't tried learning that on piano....*goes to YouTube to listen to it*
The dangos are so cute. ><

Thank you.

I see the song as part death, part lullaby song. And I hum the song when I'm failing to fall asleep. Have you seen the pikachu version of the song?

Would you two mind if I added you to this group instead? It's newer and quite a bit more organized, haha. ^^
