Prolouge: Phoenix Light

"Welcome to the territory PokeheroesClan!" the small brown-and-white tabby she-cat mews. "I'm Moonpaw! What's your name?" She smells the air and fear-scent fills the air. She sprints away. Your grey speckled pelt stands on end as you smell smoke. A mysterious cat says, "The phoenix light will destroy the forest and only ashes remain." You're confused. But you're frozen in fear. "Ashie!" your friend, Leli, calls in fear. Her blue-gray pelt is messy and covered with earth, sticks, and leaves. "Get back home!" Her light blue collar is scratched. You are dragged toward the house (Twoleg Nest) by the she-cat. What about Moonpaw? You're suddenly worried about the she-cat. Will she be okay?

You're sitting on your fluffy cat bed. You purr as your housefolk clean you and dry your fur. "It feels so good," your purr. You know they can't understand you, but hey, you enjoy it. Living the life. And no annoying collar. Wonder how Leli feels, you think. Your owners go to their room after dumping some food into your bowl. You take a few bites before deciding you want to go back to the forest. But what waits there for you? You shake your gray speckled pelt and pad to the window. Opened? you ask mentally. You hop out and pad toward the forest.
