As a former Omega player, I really miss having clans! It inspires teamwork and camaraderie amongst players, and competitiveness and interest between clans. I was wondering if this is something that PokeHeroes might consider implementing in the near future. I think they were great for morale, competitive spirit and generating interest in participating in meaningful ways at the site.

I completely agree with this suggestion. Clans is a feature, which can only positively affect the game. It is a concept that brings the players even closer to each other, which can ultimately be very beneficial for the activity of the site. Almost the majority of the other Pokemon games have this feature and it always seem to work for the best. Momalia perfectly describes the advantages of the implementation of the clan feature!

You've explained why you think implementing clans would be a good idea, which is great to include in a suggestion! However, you haven't explained what clans are, or how they work. Not all of us played Omega.

Well support only if clans would be something like houses in Harry Potter (and ppl after small quiz would be moved to 1 of them) so like joining events, collecting points to be the best clan

No support if clan would be nothing more special than fanclubs

Clans are groups of players (20 to 25_) that act together as a team. It is like a family, which offers support to each other that can be trusted and relied upon, so long as you reciprocate. Membership is by invitation or application. Players must be active. Clans can have their own events, they have their own shops where things can be traded or sold, and often clans competed against each other in site sponsored events. It made the game much more personally interactive and competitive.

Ok I will try to explain what a clan is and how they work.
Clans are composed by a group of people, who usually share the same goals and are good friends with each other. Each clan might set a different goal depending on its members, but normally they goal is to be best. In other Pokemon games for example, there are clans, which focus on collecting Pokemon, others in achieving first place by having high ranked members, others to have the best pvp players and others to form a group of friends and enjoy the game together. Clans usually have access to their own chat, which only their members can use and have their own events/rewards for its members. Also, an important part of a clan is that there different ranks. There is usually the founder, who has the total control of the clan, then there are leaders, who make sure everything works according to plan and have access to all the features of a clan (moderate chat, have access on the profile of the clan, have the ability to mass pm everyone etc) and then there are the members. Of course, the most important thing is that someone has to be invited in order to join a clan, but everyone can create his/her own if he/she wishes.

Ah, ok, I understand now. But, couldn't you do all that with the fanclubs? In a fanclub, membership can be invite or application. They can do their own events, and can make a trade thread in the trade forum for their clan. Really the only thing missing is the competition and events, but that isn't too needed. So making your own fanclub thread and this clan feature are so similar that I don't think we'd need this.

@KrazyKarp yeah i feel same way

If clans would be more for site wide contests like which clan hatch most shinies in x time etc.
It would show which clan is best and it would be fair ,because ppl would be at random clans (depends from their answers in quiz) without option to move between clans or if they pay nuggets to move to other clan. (Ik i wrote it a bit wrong)

The thing is how many Pokeheroes players are actively part of the fanclubs. Definitely not many! Personally,I first heard about them today. Clans were very successful in Pokemon Omega and other Pokemon RPGs, because they were one of the main features of the game. In Omega, 99 percent of the players were members of a clan and players actively had as a goal to join high ranked clans. Clan as a feature had its own link in the main page like Auction house, Daycare, and the mall have on Pokeheroes. Even every wednesday in the front page there would be an announcement of the top clan of the week and of course there was a clanlist, identical to trainerlist, but for clans.
Clans is a cool feature on its own, but what made it special on other games is that they were important part of the game. Players had one more thing to set as a goal! I experienced the clan feature while I was on Omega and I was amazed how much they affected the game. They helped in many aspects and made the game more competitive.

Of course, Pokeheroes can put its own twists and perks in the feature to match the gamestyle of the game. Clans don't have to necessary work in a specific way, that's the interesting thing about them.

No support because clans could start really big arguments.
