For in depth view of the country(by Persephone_The_Persian):

THE STORY:
Many things happen some good some bad but one thing always remains the same. There is balance.

And from the pits or hell they arose,
Beast of unimaginable power,
Fiends of destruction and fear,
Animals of unsatisfiable appetites.
Demons we named them,
Monsters we called them,
Enemies of the gods.
Yet how were they made,
Are they truly fallen souls,
Or did we make them,
Are beast we call Demons,
Really Demons at all.

“We live here in the great forest. Can anyone tell us why,” said a young woman. Her features sharp and mouth drawn. A large spear in one hand and daggers strapped to her leg. Green paint covered her body and her eyes matched it well.

“Because we are shunned my humans. Because we are Half-Breeds,” cried out one of the students their voice echoing slightly in the cave.

“That is right. And what are Demons to us,” she replied her eyes glancing over the class.

“Guardians of the world,” said another student.

“Yes, guardians sent to keep human population low. Guardians of nature sent to protect the lands humans would destroy if given the chance. Remember it has already happened once, humans must never be allowed to destroy the world again,” She rant holding her spear high. “We must help the Guardians we must not allow humans to rule. This is our duty, Our calling.”

Azure sat crouched in the trees her lithe frame barely visible through the foliage. She looked out over the plains her eyes picking out movement. Farmers going about their crops across the river. She was on border patrol this day.

She shifted her weight jumping to the next branch with practiced ease. She avoided the forest ground as much as possible. Demons wandered the forest floor it was dangerous but oh so right. The wilderness was pure and untouched by humans.

She did not hate them but they could keep their cities to themselves. She had all she needed. Her chains wrapped around her waist and her blades rested against her back. Her hair and leather clothing kept her warm and her weapon fed her. The trees sheltered her and the wildlife kept her alert.

She headed south her eyes constantly wandering to the plains. Her patrol seemed to be uneventful and the sunny day left her feeling peaceful.

Seyda and Faolan had slowly been making their way down from the Coven Mountains, headed toward the Great Forest, for the past couple of days. Since she was little, Seyda had traveled these lands. She knew every inch of every land. The cold Coven Mountains and the vast Great Forest were her favorites. The wildness of those places calmed her, sung to her, called to her. She'd even visited the human cities but she hated them passionately.

After long hours of traveling, they'd made it into the Great Forest. Faolan wasn't comfortable until they'd been completely swallowed by the green foliage and towering trees. They settled down by a small brook, Seyda's back to the tree. She preferred her human form when traveling. Faolan used his animal instincts and senses and when danger came, she was in a better position to defend them. Although Faolan didn't need defending. The huge white dire wolf sat beside Seyda, curled closely around her as they rested. Her hand rested on his head, stroking him gently.

They'd only been resting for a moment when suddenly Faolan began to growl softly, his fur standing on end. He rose slowly, ears pinned back against his head as he looked up towards the treetops. Seyda rose slowly, raising her bow and notching an arrow in one slow, smooth, motion. She trained the arrow on the area Faolan indicated.

"Come no closer," She called out in a soft voice. "Turn and leave or show yourself."

Azure Worked her way through the trees slowly. Taking her time so she missed nothing. Her first sign of danger was the unmistakable growl. It was faint but close.

"Come no closer," a voice called out to her. Female just from the tone that rang in here ears. "Turn and leave or show yourself."

"Bold words for one who trespasses within our forest," Azure called out crouching low flattening herself against the trunk of the tree. It did not take long for her eyes to rest on the woman beneath her. The white fur of the beast beside her standing out against the brown and green ground.

"You should point that bow else where half-breed," Azure snorted her eyes narrowing. She was not marked as a Guardian but that meant she was from the Shadows most likely. That also meant they are on the move.

Seyda didn't move at all, her body standing strong and steady, holding her breath as she waited for some kind of response. It came in the form of another woman's sure and confident voice.

After his first growl, Faolan had been perfectly silent, staring with a determined focus at the figure of the woman pressed against the tree in the shadows of the canopies. Half breed. Faolan's voice sounded in her mind, a deep and rumbling sound, an avalanche roaring, a thundering river, a cascading waterfall, a million sounds and feelings all triggered at once, calming and comforting her. He could tell what a creature or being was by their scent.

"Do you presume to own these woods? The forest? The earth? What a... Human view." Seyda breathed out, her voice soft and calm, an almost lazy smirk resting on her full lips. "The earth belongs to no man, or woman. Faolan and I are only seeking rest in the Great Forest. Who are you to deny us that?" She questioned, not in an unkind way, an ever curious gleam in her blue eyes.

"We do not own but we do live amongst the forest," Azure said. "To that end it makes it our home. And just as wolves defend their den we defend our forest."

Azure was confident and slowly began to like this female. She held a very Guardian like view. Definitely of the Shadows.

"I shall not deny you a shadowed rest. However I will ask what a Shadow wishes in our forest. Not often you come down from such peaceful mountains," She said her eyes narrowing. Though she liked this female she would not let her guard down for a moment til she was certain.

She did not doubt Nikki would like to hear about this. Shadows are tricky beings but hold a similar ideal. Just different methods.

Seyda's smirk grew slightly as she listened to the woman's reply. It was clever and showed that the woman was indeed a Guardian, as Seyda had suspected. She heard Faolan's rumble of approval and watched as the giant wolf settled down. He obviously no longer thought of the woman as a threat.

Seyda lowered her bow slowly although she didn't put away her notched arrow. Not yet, not until she was sure. "I am Seyda of Coven Mountain from the Order of Shadows. It is my task to gather information throughout all lands, Shadows, Guardians, Demons, and Humans, alike. Information can be turned into knowledge." It was her belief that information was not necessarily knowledge. One had to know what to do with it or it would always just be information. "And knowledge is power and will win this war we both fight."

Slowly, Seyda sat down her bow and returned her arrow to its quiver. She was a Shadow, indeed, but she was also a wildling, raised in the cold and unforgiving peaks of the peaceful mountains. She was even more cautious than the Shadows and yet more confident than an alpha wolf. She was a storm of conflicting emotions and attributes tamed beneath her human skin. "This is Faolan, my traveling companion and family. And who are you, Guardian? Would you sit and take a rest with us?"

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ Seth was snoozing by a tree in True Lions lands. He had finished a common duty of patrolling the area near the west boarder. His multicolored cloak of greys kept him warm from the occasional gust of winds, and the hood acted as a shield from the rays of the golden yellow sun that merciless beat down it's light. The warmth made him drowsy, but any different sounds then what he was hearing would alert him to wakening an his hand on his enchanted sword, ready to fight. His father focused him on stealth more then brute force like he had, and Seth learned close combat was more advantageous, with his training.

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ Seth wasn't alone on his training and found out that plants can make poisons, and he learned more of it from a close friend back in the camp. But nothing was out of the ordinary, it was a quiet warm sunny day, with no worries of dozing in it's warmth. When he first joined the camp of True Lions, which was closest to his home, he found that he hadn't said his name to anyone. So they gave him a nickname of 'Dusk' which he still likes hearing more then his own name that his mother had given him. No one knows his true name other then the Council.

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ He wasn't quite sure of why 'Dusk' as his name. Maybe because hardly anyone would notice him unless it was bright enough, and his cloak would stand out more. Or it might have been because he would work no other time then dusk, and strike during the night where he will be more concealed. Or maybe it was about the time he arrived in True Lions. Dusk woke with a sigh, and glanced around himself. He took out a flute, and started to play with it in his fingers.

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ He wasn't much of a talkative person, but when it comes to music, he'll take out his flute and start to play. 'Mother, sing me a song,' he thought, and he put the flute to his lips and started to play a soft melody. It was a lovely tune that his mother sang in, and he was more then glad for his father for teaching him to love music as much as his mother had.

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ He started thinking of the lyrics his mother sang, he remembered her voice well, and played along with the lyrics.

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ He stopped there, he knew there was more to the song, but he thought he heard something and listened into the silence for a moment. 'I should keep moving, not safe to stay one place,' he remembered his fathers words and got up and put the flute back and started his trek back to camp.

(Rain of Terror? When a rain of arrows comes flying at you you're bound to be scared.)

Azure listened to the Shadows introduction. She could careless what she was called. However she showed some true colors in what she said. Give information to get information. A true Shadow code no doubt.

She was no stranger to trade. She would have to give them something; and leaving them alone would do more harm than good.

"I am named Azure of the Great Forest," She spoke after a moment.

Standing up upon her branch she made to jump down. This Seyda of Coven Mountain found her no threat but she would not be put off guard so easy. Shadows were known to be manipulative.

Hoping from one branch to another she made her way down. Stopping just overhead unwilling to get much closer. She disliked the forest floor after all it made her vulnerable to the demons who lurked in shaded recesses.

"Information is useful only to those who know how to use it. And I do not believe we have any information you could use. Unless your more keen on a particular subject," Azure said crouching with elbows on her knees.

She could think of only a few reasons why a Shadow would come seeking information. None of them were petty matters either.

(That moment when you have a beautifully long reply all written out and then your cat lays on your keyboard and it all just disappears .-. ...... Also you could call the song Dawn? The last verse is hopeful, waiting for the sun to rise.)

Seyda nodded slightly as the woman slowly descended from the tops of the trees, her smirk returning slightly to her full lips. She noticed that she didn't actually touch the ground however, most likely for fear of demons. She knew the forest was crawling with them, especially at night. She wasn't concerned though. Faolan had keen senses and he knew well what to look for. He was no ordinary wolf either. He was a dire wolf. Larger, smarter, keener, stronger, an ancient breed that knew things even the Orders did not know. If a demon approached, she would know well before it got to them.

"Well met, Azure." Seyda nodded in greeting to the Guardian. She could tell that the woman was still uneasy, the smirk on her features growing. "You are as suspicious as a Shadow." She purred in her soft voice. "Be at ease, I mean you nor this forest any harm. We fight on the same side of this war." Although the girl was smart to be suspicious, Shadows were known to do whatever they had to in order to get information from someone. Mind torture, manipulation, illusions. Sometimes they left a mind so twisted and broken that it never came back together again. Seyda was not one of those Shadows. She'd learned to use her mind powers in different ways.

She reached into herself, finding the section deep within her own being where a warm pool waited. Seyda but dipped her finger into it and warm spread through her, filled her, warmed her. Magic. It was beautiful and terrifying in it's strength and power. She didn't weave it into any spell though, simply releasing it slowly as an aura of tranquility, comfort, peacefulness. She found this was her favorite way to use her mind magic, to just calm people, relax them and her. She enjoyed controlling the feelings of others in this way. She disliked the mind manipulation that others Shadows used. With her magic, she could calm a hostile situation until everyone was laughing where they once would have been killing.

With the aura enveloping them, Seyda ran her fingers through Faolan's soft, white, fur. "All information can be valuable to the right person, even the smallest of thing." She paused, smirked, and looked back up at Azure. "That being said, I do come seeking specific information. I also have information to share. All over the lands, humans grow restless. They venture from their cities and into the wilds of our world with naught but conquest and blood shed on their minds. In response, the number of demons all over seems to be rising, they grow more bold and venture out after humans more. Have you seen proof of this here? That is the information I both share and seek."

Azure watch closely as Seyda released her magic. A calm warmth spread through her making her feel like a cat on a sunny day such as today. She maintain her position but sat down relaxing.

"Humans are always looking for more. This is nothing new.... There has been short bursts of activity to the south however," she said unwilling to tell more.

Nikki was definitely going to want to meet this Shadow. Information was a tool; though not one they normally used. What she knew may be useful however. Nikki could decided that.

"Rest for now. I shall lead you farther in. I do not doubt our leader would wish words," Azure said accepting her presence for now.

She turned her gaze outwards towards the plains. She had known it. The air had been too still for too long. She did not dread what was to come as some might. Rather she looked at it as a cycle of life. Humans rose up they put them in place they remained dormant then try again in a thousand years. They are like the cicadas that came out every seven years noisy but held a beautiful melody.

((I know how that feels lol. I got two cats and the one lays right in my lap while I type. If i don't give him attention til he's asleep he won't let me do anything.))

((I was so mad at her XD Shes an attention hog))

Seyda paused, listening to the information with a slow nod. She dipped her finger down into the real pool of water that gurgled beside her, stirring the water slowly. It'd been peaceful and she noted with an ironic smile how she stirred the water, bringing things to life. It was almost too good of a parallel. Humans were always messing things up, disturbing peace. Despite being half-human, she hated them passionately.

She lifted her finger from the water and glanced back up at the woman. She could tell Azure wasn't saying everything. In the Shadows it was beneficial to know when someone wasn't being completely truthful with you. However, her offer to take her to the leader of the Guardians was generous. No doubt there she would learn the things the girl would not say out here. She glanced down at Faolan, reaching out to him with her mind. She felt his warm consciousness against her cool one. Every being, every mind, every soul, had a different feel to it. The more familiar she was with one, the easier she was able to recognize it. Faolan's was warm like the sun against a rock and smelled of freshly fallen snow and pine needles. She pushed against the thin veil that separated his mind from hers, feeling as it gave easily beneath her familiar pressure. Their minds melded together, his consciousness flooding hers.

What do you think, Old One? Shall we go now? Or do you need a break? She questioned him, a teasing tone to her thoughts. He growled in response, stretched and stood.

I have been running longer than you, Little One, but my strength has not waned, make no mistake. Again came the rumbling voice that was felt more than heard, filling her body with a strong vibration. He nuzzled at her affectionately, waiting for her to stand.

"The Old One and I would like to go now, if it's all the same to you, Azure. We've had our rest." Seyda said with a smile to the girl. She pulled at the triangle of leather that had been draped around her neck, tugging it back into place, covering all of her face but her icy blue eyes.

Nearby, Selena was watching out for any enemies. Star looked at her with hopeful eyes and she nodded calmly. "So no enemies yet, Star." she said calmly. The Shadow suddenly saw two figures in the distance. "I wonder who are over there..." she thought as Star flicked one of her tails slyly.

She was pretty sure it wasn't humans, most likely a half-breed but you can never know. She took out her swords as she started crawling toward them. Star started to stalk, her ears flat .

"So be it," Azure said standing. She had been being polite anyway. In truth she itched to get home. She hated to waste time on something that could be important.

Jumping the final length to the ground she landed with a dull thud. She eyed them both before looking to the forest. Should any of this be important like she thought it was she wanted to reach home as soon as possible.

"Change yourself the forest welcomes you," Azure said as she shifted her form. Her fur grew outwards it's blue coloration standing out against the dark greens of the forest. Her ears twitched as they started picking up the forest sounds. Including the faint rustling of snake like movement.

((lol and yet we love them...I update my appearance btw so you can see her demon form.))

Seyda stood and stretched out her lithe body, watching with fascination as the girl changed her form. She was a beautiful kitsune, the blue coloring unusual and making her stand out. Seyda paused and glanced over her shoulder, checking the forest slowly. She had grown so used to hiding that now she was uncomfortable switching forms out in the open like this. Convinced that no humans were around, she smiled down at Faolan and transformed.

Her transformation was smooth and quick, almost done and over with in the time it took to blink an eye. She'd lived with Faolan in this form for most of her earlier years, it was even more familiar to her than her human form. She stretched out her body once more, now with four legs and tail. Her fur was lush, long, and black with a white under belly and white on her muzzle and the tip of her tail. She was larger than any wolf had a right to be, standing shoulder to shoulder with Faolan the giant. She was slender though, something about her form was unmistakably feminine. Her eyes were the same icy blue as in her other form.

She finished her transform and began to follow after Azure. She paused suddenly, foreign scents making their way to her sensitive nose, ears twitching, at the same time Faolan rumbled a warning in her mind. She returned the rumble in a soft growl, alerting Azure but too soft for anyone not in the immediate area to hear.

((I added a picture of Seyda's Demon form XD Thank god for spoilers or my pictures would take up half the page, sorry :3 ))

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ Sid was sharpening and cleaning his swords throughout the day. He knew that Dusk was going to be back after his nap in the fields, and kept himself busy while he waited for his friend. In a way, Sid could feel how relaxed Dusk was, and can almost hear a faint melody. He wasn't sure if it was the murmuring people around him, or if it was Dusk playing his hidden flute. 'I've been hanging around him for far too long to know what he's thinking.' Sid thought working away on his sword. "From this moment, My sweet child, Hand me a bow, and watch the arrows fly~" Sid started to softly sing while he worked. He just started spewing out words without realizing, and humming where the words fell silent. His singing stopped suddenly and he looked up and around the area. 'Hm, just the normal bustle and rush,' Sid thought and put his weapons away and went to the gates to wait.

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ "I wasn't. . ." Dusk started but stopped, nearly forgetting who he was talking to, "Yes, quite peaceful. What have you done with yourself while I was away?" Sid remained quiet as they walked through the busy place.

Lady Kaiya Isiador knelt in the dirt, her delicate hands hovering over a wrinkled and withered old beggar man. Her hands held a soft golden glow of warm magic as she healed the old man's scabs and sores. She then slipped some golden coins into his palm and pressed a kiss to his wrinkled forehead, praying to the Gods for a blessing upon his head.

Kaiya stood, not bothering to dust herself off and raised the cowl of her cloak again, enveloping her soft features in shadows. She stepped gracefully through the dirty streets of Trudale. Even among the dirt and dust, she walked with a natural agility, almost seeming to float above the dusty cobble stones. The near-black gray of her cloak made her both blend in and stand out more. Her porcelain skin glowed, her golden hair shone, and the white silk of her dress stood out against the black cloth that hid her features.

She rounded a corner, intent on returning to the modest home she was staying in for the night. She'd done all she could for the men and women of the city for that day. She'd almost made it home when she turned into a darkened road, nearly abandoned even at this time. What she saw made her come up short. Two large men stood above a much smaller, much older, man. They were beating, kicking, spitting on him. She had no weapons and no way to fend off these monsters but she didn't let that stop her. She couldn't just continue on while some poor man was being hurt.

"Stop! Leave him!" She cried, running and flinging herself against the closest man. Her light weight did nothing but she did catch the brutes attention. The one grunted and shook her off, throwing her against the wall in the process. The other stopped beating the man to glance her over.

"And what do we have here? A healer bitch who fancies herself a hero?" The closest one hissed into her face. Kaiya pressed herself closer against the wall but she didn't cower, her chin sticking proudly up into the air.

The man on the ground scrambled to his feet and took off at a run, not even sparing a glance for the woman that had just saved his life. She now had the men's full attention. Kaiya tried to slip away but one man grabbed her by her long, blonde, hair and threw her back. His friend backhanded her roughly, causing her full lip to split and her vision to swim. She gasped and tried to fight against the men but they were two and strong. She was one and only strong of heart.

Another smack sent her sprawling to the ground.

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ Sid followed his 'master' happily, treading along the sea of people with ease. Dusk was the first to notice a man fleeing from an ally way from a good long distance away. 'That's strange, why would he run?' Dusk though, and placed a hand on one of his poisoned weapons and quickly moved forward to where the man ran from. Sid picked up on Dusk's urgency, and followed not knowing where, or why. It was just a good idea to follow the younger and smaller male, and only hope that they weren't walking into a dangerous trap.

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ Dusk listened above the noise, trying to pick up something that wasn't normal. Kids yelling and playing, dogs barking, people making conversation, clanking of armor, heavy steps, scratching of stone walls with sticks, that was all normal. He can also hear chickens, and other animals in the distance, but a slight dull tone caught his ear, it was metal, and it wasn't dead meat being pounded. There, that way. It was further down.

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ Sid stopped a moment, wondering what the rush was, and listened. "Now, someone is doing some sparring in a tight spot," Sid said with ease. He knew the sound of fists, slapping, kicking, and the sort, he lived for it. And he knew that it was a tight spot because the sound bounced more then it should in an open area. He should know, he was cornered in a tight area was was beat upon as a young lad.

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ "We must hurry," Dusk said interrupting Sid's lost thought and started a jog for the spot where it was the loudest. Dusk stopped in front of an ally, Sid regained his composure, ran after the smaller of the two and when Dusk stopped he nearly ran into him. Sid, and Dusk turned and seen two large men, backhanding a smaller defenseless boy.

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ "Make peace, or touch the steel of my cold blade," Sid called out and stepped behind a wall quickly so only that Dusk was visible. Dusk started walking further in, absolutely sure that his muscle was behind him making him look terrifying. But in truth, Sid was hiding behind the wall proud of himself for not stepping in the tight space.

Kaiya was curled against the wall at the men rained down blows on her, tearing at her silk and cloak. Her cowl still hid her face and her body was curled towards the wall, shielding most of herself. She didn't dare move as she heard another voice enter the ally.

The two men looked up from their sick pleasure and eyed the younger man standing before them. They began laughing. The larger one stepped forward, sneering with his ugly face. "And what do you plan to do with that steel, boy?" He hissed, taking another slow step forward. He was obviously very confident in his ability to deal with the smaller, younger, boy. But when being backed by an equally hideous and cruel brute, it was hard to not be so confident. Their idiocy lent them a stupid kind of courage.

Kaiya held her breath, waiting and baiting her time, simply listening to what was going on. She could tell the larger of the two was closest to the mouth of the ally, confronting whoever had stopped them. The smaller was only a few paces in front of her, she could tell. He probably wouldn't even notice if she moved. They probably figured she would be too afraid to even try.

She tried to stand and had to resist making a sound of pain. Her body ached and she could feel the throbbing of bruises and the slight leaking of open wounds. She took in a deep breath, steadied herself and rose swiftly in a smooth motion, her fingers gripping a large piece of wood that had been laying next to her. She hefted it and slammed it into the back of the smaller man's head. Thanks to her healer training, she knew perfectly where to hit to knock the man out cold. She watched as he crumbled to the ground.

Cloak still hiding her features, she leaned against the wall painfully, chest heaving as she gasped for breath. "Even...fight..." She breathed out between gasps.

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ Dusk was confused by their words, surely D'rik was more terrifying behind him. He was right. . . no he was, he was sure of it. Right behind him with a sword in hand. Well it is a small space, Sid can't fit through, but he still had enough room to move out of the way. Dusk tilted his head to the side, his hood mimicking his movements. Dusk was about to answer, but Sid's voice beat him to it. "Why, I'm going to cut you down and burn your skin," Sid said in a laughing tone, Dusk took his que and drew his sword enchanted with blue fire.

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ Dusk noticed the one that was on the ground start to get up, but he was sure to not hint towards it. "Now, which one of you wants to feel the burn of my sword?" Dusk debated on using his poisons on these fools, and decided on a paralysis. It wasn't strong enough to be permanent, but just enough for them to escape. He watched the cloaked boy pick up a piece of wood and slam it down on one of the men. 'Strange, the wood should have splintered on that guys head,' Dusk thought, quickly grabbing the powder while the man was distracted.

_ ▬ || 『 ♛ // ♚ 』 || ▬ "Well, seems like you want to be first," Sid called out with a chuckle. As soon as the brute turned back to Dusk, he threw the powder in his face, and it rained down the rest of the mans body. 'Good,' Dusk thought.
