(When you fight witches, your soul gem gets black, or dark. As it gets dark, you must kill witches for grief seeds, which you use the seed to cleanse the black from your soul gem. If you don't clean your soul gem, it will eventually break from too much of the.. black inside it and you would die)
Midori drew an arrow back, readying herself to fight the fifth one. But as she prepared, the witch struck her with magic and she was unable to dodge. She lost her weapon and fell back, both injured and stunned.

Kachina got up and ran to Midori. She helped her up and stabbed a minion running toward them.

Kachina saw Midori was not in condition for another attack, so she killed the witch for her. She slashed it's head, then spun around and hit the other witch, and they both dissolved, but killing 3 witches in one fight was taking a toll on her gem. Shadow crept up the side and she fainted.

Aisha noticed Midori struggling, and she ran over to her. She tried using the power of her wish. She turned into a unicorn, and started to (try to) heal Midori. (That's how it works with your wish, right? You make it and you can use it's power anytime?)

The blackness stopped before completely filling her soul gem, but it was still too much. Kachini fainted and her sword clattered to the floor.

Midori tried not to believe her leg was broken. Quickly she pulled out the grief seed and pressed it to her soul gem, but she still couldn't walk. She thanked Aisha and tried to limp over to Kachina, then tossed her the seed.

When she threw the seed, it was close enough to Kachina's gem and got pulled to it like a magnet. It absorbed the shadow in the gem, and Kachina woke up. She had a headache and sat by the wall.

(Sorry for being gone for so long. And no if he soul gem turns black all the way you don't die. You become a witch yourself, unless the soul gem is crushed then you're deceased.)
Jubey watched the battle careful sprinting away from minions. "I got Kachini, pass me one grief seed. I can clear it a bit," Jubey dragged Kahini out.

(Also, only once per 10 pages can Jubey "clean" soul gems WITHOUT a grief seed.)

Aisha turned back to her fighting form and said " your welcome" to Midori. Then, she came over to Kachini. She saw her fainted, and thought she died. She started crying when she saw her. But then, she saw her wake up and held back some tears.
