Minor Updates
Forum-Index → News → Minor UpdatesAs promised at the beginning of this year, it is now possible to "hide" your gender by choosing the "genderless" option in your Profile Settings.
(Please note that some features - like the fisherman artwork at the beach - display your gender as "male" when "genderless" is selected.)
Notifications for incoming gifts at the GTS have been added.
The "Gift PD/Nuggets" tool has been removed, as it has become obsolete with the new GTS system.
A "Gift some items"-shortlink has been added to the userprofiles (as a replacement for said removed tools).
The sidebar navigation has been updated - it now shows the icons (that you already know from the top navigation) as well. That makes it much easier to find the links you're looking for.
Also the code of the Dream World Shop has been optimized. Before the update, all 480+ plushies images were loaded in the background when you visited the shop, even though only 12 are displayed (which understandably slows down the page and also eats up your internet data volume quite aggressively).
Now, thanks to the update, the images load on-demand - meaning they are only loaded when the plushie is actually displayed on the page.
Oh and by the way - 5 new plushies have been added!
Since many of you already cleared all three tasks of the Berry Battle on day 1 (much faster than I expected), the last phase of the berry battles already starts on September 18th (instead of 19th). That's no disadvantage for those who need a bit more time, though, as you will found out :) So no hurry in case you can't be as active as some other members!
The Herowalker and the Herowalker (Trial) have been removed from the Android App Store. Please return your Pokémon from their walk as the app will soon no longer work.
Unfortunately, due to technical issues, this app could no longer be supported/updated.
It may, however, be replaced by a much more advanced, better functional and much more entertaining PokéHeroes application in the future. :)
The Lovemeter goal has been reduced to 15,000,000 Interactions.
The registration form has been improved with a better SPAM-prevention system. It should now be harder for SPAM/advertisement accounts to sign up on PokéHeroes.
Oh, and speaking of which - 1,630 advertisement accounts have just been deleted!
All Drash/Eggant/Pumkin Berries & Seeds from the Berry Battle have been removed. As May told you, they do not survive the cold climate of Emera Town during fall/winter.
All Hoenn Tonics have been removed as well. They have no use other than the Berry Battle - and if the contest is organized again next year, I'm sure May doesn't want 1-year-old berry tonics :P
(Sorry for announcing this a little late. I hope no one mass-planted these berries even after the event. But it's only fair to "start from zero" again next year, so all users (especially new ones) have equal chances.)
The Tall Grass has been updated and is now much less luck-based!
The amount of grass spots that you see has been increased for every species - but the eggs no longer move; means they will always stay behind the same grass spot until you find it!
And the page will also tell you whether you are close or not!
Example:
Let's say you click on the Red X.
If the Egg is within the yellow square, the page will tell you "But you are very close!".
If the egg is within the blue square, the page tells you "The egg should not be far away.".
If the egg is, however, outside of the blue square, the page tells you "The egg is very far away."
So with a smart strategy, you can easily find even rarer eggs - you just have to remember where you've searched before!
The Trainer Points distribution for interactions has been slightly nerfed. We have noticed that the only way to reach a very high trainer level is to basically interact a lot - every day. And that is not only unfair to those users who simply can't interact that much; but it also makes all other features of the site much less rewarding. And that's not how it should be!
Old System:
You received 1 Trainer Point for every 25th interaction that you make.
New System:
During your first 250,000 interactions, the old system still applies.
If your total interactions are between 250k and 1M, you receive 1 TP for every 50th interaction that you make.
If your total interaction counter has already reached 1M, you receive 1 TP for every 100th interaction that you make.
Everyone's Trainerlevel has been updated. I'm sorry if your Trainerlevel has been lowered by this update - but I hope everyone understands that the point of the Trainerlevel is not another "Total interactions"-counter; but a symbol of your overall activity on PokéHeroes :)
More ways to collect Trainer Points have been added!
Trading:
You receive 5 Trainer Points for every trade that you make (except for gifts). This is limited to a maximum of five trades per day.
Event Distributions:
You receive 250 Trainer Points for every new Wondercard that you receive. You receive 100 for every duplicate Wondercard that you receive.
Dream World Shop:
You receive 1 Trainer Point for each 10 Dream Points that you spend on Dream World Plushies.
Everyone's Trainerlevel has been updated. :)
Update 2: Wondercards for the previous Halloween Event (Pumple & Zombeagle) have been distributed!
The rarity of the Alolan Pokémon (excluding Raichu, Exeggutor and Marowak) has been changed from "Special" to "Alolan".
You can now buy these eggs from the Gem Collector.
There is also a new key item Egg Radar Chip (Alolan) available at the Item Shop (requires "Alola" map)!
