Give Editing Permissions
Forum-Index → Suggestions → Give Editing PermissionsWhat I am suggesting:
I'm suggesting a button of some sort where you could type in a name and give the person editing permissions to that post.
Where would this come in handy?
In threads such as GTS shops with multiple owners. Currently, even if one person sells/trades away an item on the shop stock list, it can only be edited if the writer of the thread comes online. However, if this was implemented, the person could update the list as soon as they sold the item.
What if someone messes up my post?
I'd strongly recommend you to only share editing permissions with people you can trust (Maybe a friendlist-only feature?) so that you won't regret it. Even so, I was also thinking of a 'edit history' feature like Wikipedia, where you could go back and recover the post before it was messed up. (This way, if you saw a badly explained suggestion that you understand, you could ask the person who wrote it for editing permissions to explain it better without the person having to worry about a destroyed post.)
What if I want to remove people I've given permission to? (Thanks for the idea, MagicalCreature!)
Maybe a list of the people you've given permission to with checkboxes next to them?
What if I want to give multiple people permission?
I was also thinking of a way to enter multiple names when giving permission - but that needs more thought.
Thanks for reading all that, and tell me what you think below.

However I am with you ;)
