Mine was pokemon white, I sucked at it ;,)

And we got called them all
So we grew up believing no one

I was born the year Pokémon released in the United States so I didn't get the chance to play it (obviously) for a few years but Pokémon blue and yellow were the first two games I played!!

Mine was crystal, when I just barely knew how to read. I instantly fell in love, and skipped hoenn completely, moving on to platinum after it

Mine was Red, which I only ever played in bits and pieces whenever I was at various friends houses. didn't have a gameboy myself growing up (although responsible adult me now has two colours for the nostalgia :D )

The first game I brought and owned myself was Pearl. I brought it after I finished college, and since them having been buying them whenever they've released. I have Crystal and HeartGold too because those were two countries my favourites, and I'm still thinking of getting one of the classics off download from the store.

I played my brother's copy of Diamond on the no-save file. I loved it so much, I convinced my parents to buy me a copy. My first Pokemon was Piplup on the no-save, but on my own file, it was Chimchar. I've always picked the fire-types since.
My brother and I always pick the opposite games- He eventually got Pearl, White, White 2, Y, and Omega Ruby, and he plans to get Sun. I of course got Diamond, Black, Black 2, X, and Alpha Sapphire, and I plan on Moon. Though, I did end up getting Omega Ruby because Maxie, but I have far less Pokemon on there than Alpha Sapphire. When the Gen 1s were put on the Game Shop, Warren got Yellow, and I have Blue. I really do like the cooler colored games, don't I? (My shinies are mostly cooler colored as well, now that I think about it... And by cooler colors, I mean the art way. Blues, purples, greens, that kinda thing.)
