Ever since I joined this site (2 days ago :/) I've been annoyed by the fact that the Fairy type doesn't have its own weather condition. I understand that this would require a new Castform and thus might be difficult to program, so it's not the end of the world if this can't be done, but it just doesn't seem fair for Pokémon with only the Fairy type to never get bonus EXP.
My only problem - I can't think of a good enough weather condition. Flabébé's flower theme made me think of high pollen levels, but that feels too close to the Grass type, so I'm still not sure.
To summarize: Is Fairy type weather a thing we can implement without too much difficulty and, if we do implement it, what should the weather be?
(I'm sorry if this isn't the most appropriate place to put this, I just couldn't find a precedent for where weather-related suggestions go.)

Oh, there is? I didn't know that. Thank you for sharing.

I suppose it'll be implemented in the next update or two.

Well...
Technically, while there is a Fairy weather sprite, there has been since weather was introduced at all, so that doesn't necessarily mean that it'll be added any time soon. :b
I fully support that it be added soon~

Why hello! It's been a year? I have an idea! (Hopefully this can bring this suggestion back to life!) My suggestion is kind of like this but at the same time it isn't. I will try and answer all these questions too! So, let me begin. I believe that there should be a new castform. Not particularly a fairy castform but maybe a rainbow castform. Here's the difference, I don't think it should be a permanent weather but I think it should be kind of like an event distribution. Take a look at this mini page I made up.

Rainbows have arrived!

Rainbows are appearing all over Emera town. If you are lucky you may catch sight of one. Be sure to have your weather balloons ready if you do! Not only are rainbows appearing all over town, there's also a new Pokémon who keeps popping up around them.

This Pokémon appears as a type of Castform but nobody has ever seen it before. Maybe if you can connect a castform to the rainbow in some way, you will be able to make this Pokémon.

Now I will answer some of the year old questions :P.

@RotomFTW: Yes it does indeed, that's why my one is not a fairy weather or whatever. It's an event distribution.
@Carpet+@Vanill:I know there's not enough fairy types so the XP bonus would be useless, but this would not have an XP bonus it would just be for obtaining this new event Pokémon. If anything it could be an XP bonus to all Pokémon! Also this would not be a fairy castform sprite, it would be a new event Pokémon sprite called Rainbow Castform.

A little extra idea. This could lead on to a big event. For example it could be the mythical event or something where you could have the Rainbow Castform & other events like Unicorn Ponyta! The possibilities are endless! I hope you all enjoy my reboot of this suggestion and show your support!

@ConnorR

I like your ideia, finally giving a use to PH fan made Pokemon. However, making it a EVENT totally ruins the ideia of "weather"

Well the reason I put it as an event is because there has been lots of contriversy about fairy weather and fairy castform

I support.

There is a weather event for every other type of pokemon and the old argument of there not being enough fairy types is no longer valid. If counting every dex data slot (including megas, events, and retros, there are around 75 pokemon with a fairy typing and will be more when all of the pokemon from the Alola region are released. Whether if fairy is a pokemons only typing, or one of it's dual typing, it does not matter as duel types would still receive an exp bonus just as all other dual types do. And if someone wants to still reject Fairy weather due to the amount, then the weather for Steel pokemon should be removed there are currently now less Steel types than there are Fairy. That ratio between Fairy and Steel pokemon will stay true even when all of the Alola pokemon are added.

I also support the already make fairy sprite to being used. All the other weather follows the theme of using the castform sprite it's associated with.

As for the weather, I adore and support meme's suggestion of using rainbows to represent the Fairy weather and it's description. For example, the current weather at the moment...

Show hidden content
"Current Weather: Smog

Urgh, that stinks! There's a large cloud of smog currently over Emera Town, coming from the big city. Hopefully it is gone by the morning.

Special Effect: All Poison Pokémon gain 50% more EXP."

Lastly, having Fairy weather available will finally make the Fairy castform dex available. One would only need to..
Show hidden content
give a weather balloon to a castform during Fairy weather.

The coding for this wouldn't take much either as everything is pretty much already there, including the art. If I remember correctly, the only thing that was being waited on was more fairy pokemon to be added to PH.

Now there are 52 steels, 41 currently on PH.
