The vines had taken too much damage, both from Darkrai's incessant trashing and the attacks it had received whilst holding the Pokemon captive. They disappeared back into the ground, waiting for another to call upon them.

Thorn used Hurricane to blast Darkrai to the roof. Thanks to his new power, Darkrai went through the roof and kept going. "Guys, I'll go after him... If I don't make it back, make sure I get a statue of bronze later as my memorial." with that, Thorn flapped his wings and blasted himself towards Darkrai.

**Past the Ozone layer**

Thorn, using Wild Charge, kept tackling Darkrai. At this point, going back to earth would be death. "Well, its just you and me, bub..." Thorn gasped. There wasn't much air left. Darkrai laughed. "You'll die here..." Darkrai laughed in a evil manner. "So what? You may be able to stop me , but you can't defeat the new lords or the other evil legendaries..."

"Too slow!" Ricky screamed in rage as Darkrai and Thorn went off. "If I only reacted a few seconds sooner!"
Ricky took a few deep breaths. "I can't be held responsible for another death." he muttered to himself lower than a whisper so quite even he could barely make it out.

The bolts of electricity went everywhere, but they were too late. Miko and Kiki landed on the ground on their feet. "We... didn't get him.?" Kiki asks.

"It disappeared! So did Thorn!" Lumi gasped.
Jirachi looked up at the hole. She flew up.
Rose's vision got a little blurry, the blinding light of the thunderbolts messed her eyes up. She wasn't completely blind, but it became hard to see. "My eyes.." Rose muttered.

Thorn used heat wave at Darkrai. Darkrai dodged and used dark pulse. "How do you expect to defeat me if you don't have any determination or purpose!" He used Shadow ball and then Dark pulse. Thorn crashe into a meteorite. Thorn used Wild charge again, but Darkrai dodged and used Shadow punch on his back.

Blast began to wake up. "Where's Thorn?" He asked as he shook his rusty head.

"Hey!" Jirachi yells at Darkrai. "Pick on someone your own size!" She sends off a Doom desire.

He hoped against all hope that he could. If Rose was losing her sight, he'd be the best bet at helping her as the only blind guy on the team, and perhaps the only blind guy left in the world.
