Okay so I came up with the idea of an Archive in the Forum where
all locked threads (e.g. help threads where the problem was solved)
could be moved to. It would be NOT possible to open new topics
there.
Another thing would be a function to search the Forum, as some
questions have been asked like 3 times in 3 different threads.
I don't think we need an archive. I think it would be easier to
just let the thread die and fall to the bottom of the forum. Or,
for things like the help forum, we can just add a 'Solved' forum or
something.
For the search feature, it would certainly be useful when the
forums will have a lot of topics, enough that you have to search
for them. I don't think we need them for now though, but it would
be nice to have it implanted in the future though. Oh, and for the
duplicate questions, people just need to learn to search the forums
themselves for already opened threads. Can't moderators and higher
just merge topics?

Merging topics would be kind of strange, I think. Topics mostly
contain a ongoing discussion. And if we would merge it with another
topic, then there would be much confusion about what's everyone
talking about.
I know it may be too early for a search function, just wanted to
throw this idea at you to keep it in mind.
There's another thing that could be useful: A page with all threads
with new posts. Currently I only get notified by the 5 newest post
and occassionally by 5 most active topics.
(In addition to that, maybe a "mark all threads as read"
button?)
If those don't work (yet) how about showing in the Forum Index if
there's a new post/topic in e.g. the Help section by showing a
different Suicune icon?
