Well, I have an idea of a shelter on PH. I don't know if this have been suggested before. If yes, I don't have any problem locking it.

Now, we all know that released Pokes are actually deleted. So, why isn't there a shelter, where release pokemon will go. It will be same as trading and you it does not break the adopting rules either. There might be a fee for adopting pokemon of each rarity. Lke---

Easy - 500
Medium - 1000
Hard - 1500
Rare - 2000
Special - 4000
Unown - 5000

Or, there might be a Currency called Shelter points. We can get it like the event distribution points and it will be needed to adopt shelter pokemon.

I don't have any problem if the prices are altered. Moreover, if anyone by mistake releases a pokemon, then he/she has a chance of regaining it. The pokemon might be moving around. Easy, medium and hard pokemon stop when mouse is hovered on them and Rare, Special and Unown Pokemon might become faster when mouse is hovered.

...Please excuse me, I am still learning about how things works at this site. Don't released pokemon get put into the tall grass, as eggs?

No, released Pokemon just disappear off the face of Earth. Your thinking about Day care eggs. If you dont take a egg from the day care within 24 hours, the Daycare man will release the egg(s) into the wild (Tall grass). So yea :p

Oh. Well... Okay. Thanks for explaining.

Hrm. A shelter isn't a bad idea but honestly, I'd just be more in favor of the released pokemon becoming available in the tall grass.

I think it would be a neat idea. Certainly would help those trying to finish the Pokedex for the regions rather than constantly trying to ask others and what not.
