Forum-Index → Roleplay → ωнαт...αм ι? [Invite Only]The sound of other traps being sprung in the area worries the ghost as he looked to the trees to try and find the source of it. He saw a glimmer of purple a fair distance away, but it didn't seem natural. The gleam from a blade caught the ghost's eyes, and he gave an almost inhuman groan.
"Just walk away, now," he said to himself in a quiet yet deep voice, but again he was moving before he could stop himself. His reaction triggered a memory from when he was still alive, still fighting to serve his kingdom. Innocents slaughtered for the sake of the war. No, that would not happen again, even if this is a different war starting. However, there was no way for him to reach the dragon in time to save her. Even if he used his wings and floated on over, it wasn't like he could properly fly or move faster than a living human could. There was just too much distance and too little time.
Even with all of this, his feet fell hard and traceless against the ground as he tried to close that distance in a full on sprint. He just barely managed to get snagged in one of the other traps, tripping, but recovering from it before he had to come to a grinding halt. Something wasn't right about this whole thing. It was too chaotic to have been planned, yet the gear was too organized to have not been planned. That usually implied there was more to the battle strategy than met the eyes.
Amaterasu followed the scent of the dragon, since that was her intent to come into the awful, dark forest. She stopped behind a tree that was just a a few yards from the girl, but then she saw a man approaching her, and one that appeared to be a hunter. She starred for a second, trying to think through what to do. If she changed into a fox and attacked him, they would know she's something less of a human, but she didn't want the dragon girl to get killed. She knew, that despite popular belief, dragons weren't mean creatures and that it was unlikely that she did anything wrong here.
Then she saw the man pull out the knife. She didn't have time to think, so she went with her instinct and decided that subtle wasn't going to work out. She charged directly at the man, who was thrown off guard by the fact that he didn't even know she was there, and went for the cheapest shot she could pull and kicked him right where it hurts and as hard as she could. There was perks to your enemy being a male. He dropped the knife and stumbled back with a great amount of pain in his face. She quickly grabbed the knife off the ground and grabbed the dragon girls. "Run," she said in a hushed, but serious tone and started to drag this girl along as she ran as fast as she could.
I could...if you could please help me out of this trap! She said
This girl is crazy! She's gonna get herself killed with these advanced hunters!
Glacia starts to panic thinking of what to do...
I could leave this girl...or....I can stay and help her fight...or I can do what is the best choice grab her...AND FLY!

Luke continued to watch the strange person he had seen disappear, looking on ahead of the person's path. He was surprised to see a girl being held down by a large man, and was even more surprised when she turned into a dragon. Oh my gosh. A dragon! How epic is this?! He thought as he watched the scene. Although the dragon girl and the strange boy caught and held his attention, Luke couldn't seem to take his eyes off the girl who had gone and helped the dragon girl. She looked fairly normal, but her gorgeous silver hair caught the light in a way that made her even more beautiful. The move that she had used to attack the man made his own body hurt by watching, but her body moved gracefully as she went. Luke longed to run forward and help her carry the dragon girl, but he knew it would be dangerous to move from where he hid. It was a dragon after all. Instead, he just watched from behind his tree and hoped he wasn't seen by anyone.
((Poor Dommy and Helena :P I'm sure we'll find action for them at some point X3 Also, Latula, your number of posts X3))
"Right, the trap!" Amaterasu said and used a mixture of the knife and her hands the get the trap off of the dragon. She was really hoping she wouldn't have to change forms, but things weren't looking to great. She would ask her to fly, but she seemed somewhat wounded and wasn't sure if it was something that would allow her to fly. She still wasn't sure whether the girl knew what she was or not, but it was unlikely, since goddesses tend to smell very similar to humans and she hasn't showed any signs of her powers yet. But it wasn't a time to think about it. She knew that the man would be getting up soon and other people would be coming. She froze for a moment, having the sudden panic of the scent of a human. She quickly snapped her head towards the general direction that Luke was, but she calmed down when she recognize the scent of the noisy mortal boy from before, who was being surprisingly less noise. She held onto the knife that she had taken from the man, since it was currently her only weapon. Even her illusion powers were getting slightly weaker, but she was still keeping up the 'Hi, I'm human' act pretty well.
"Okay, we should get going before anyone else sees us," she said and looked towards where Luke was again, curious to why this mortal boy didn't seem scared enough of a dragon not to run off, and she couldn't blame him for being. It wasn't exactly a common occurrence to find a dragon in the forest, and he definitely wasn't quiet enough to be a hunter. She looked back to Glacia and said, "How well can you walk?"
The ghost watched as a female did what he couldn't, and took down the man with the knife.
'Two girls and a single ghost in one area... add in the slew of hunters, one stray human, and possibly animals in the area, this place is not safe.' he worked out, then ran forward to the other two supernatural beings.
"Run," he ordered, looking at Amaterasu. He then looked to the vivid purple dragon.
"Fly if you can. Whatever you do, get away now. It's more dangerous than it seems," he quickly explained, his wings flickering in and out of view as they phased from physical back to spectral then returned. His mind was racing, trying to find the best course of action. As they fell back to the downed man, he saw that he was trying to get back up. He placed a firm kick to the other male's head, hearing a soft cracking sound from the impact, then turned to where the most sound was coming from, no concern about whether the man was simply unconscious or if he had just killed him.
"I'm going to hold them off," he stated, then ran off, intentionally making a lot of noise for a human, let alone a ghost.
She tries to grab the the teenage boy by the arm but it seems he flickered from spectral to physical. He did say to fly away
Glacia shot up into sky holding Amaterasu.
Just before she hit the clouds she sent back a magic blast to mess with the hunters, and protect the teenager if he accepted it.

He ran forward and was confronted by one of the enemy rather quickly. In the hand-to-hand grapple, he managed to throw his opponent down. He took the dagger this man had, and gave a nod at having a weapon.
There was a soft clinking sound, and when the ghost turned, he let a profane word slip from his lips as another net was set to be launched at the dragon again.
"Not on my watch," he said, his wings turning physical for a moment and flapping twice before his body turned completely spectral. He planned to intercept the net if it managed to get on course for those he was trying to save.
Luke stood behind the tree, taking in every sight he possibly could. The dragon, the strange boy's wings, the girl's beauty--he attempted to commit every detail to memory. He could tell that they were aware of him, given the girl's glancing towards his hiding spot. When the dragon had flown off with the girl and fired off the magic blast, Luke hid back behind the tree and covered his eyes. As the brightness wore off, he ran back towards the area where he had entered the woods. At first, he was careful of where he stepped and what noise he made, but he eventually stopped caring and simply ran as fast as he could towards the exit. He heard the snap of a branch behind him, and he froze where he stood. Turning towards the sound, he saw one of the men from deeper in the woods. The man didn't seem to see him, since he was too occupied with his cigarette. Luke took the opportunity to quietly make his escape back to his bike, which was thankfully still where he left it. He felt bad about running off and leaving the people he saw in the woods, but he also knew the best way he could help was to get out of there.
Anyway, looks like a good chance to bring Dommy in!))
Amaterasu tensed for a second as she was lifted into the air, since she wasn't expecting such a sudden pull, but she calmed down once they hit the sky and the sunlight rained down on her. She smiled slightly as the day started to brighten up a little bit. She took a deep breathe and said, "Don't freak out when I do this, okay?" With that, her eyes glowed golden for a second and the rays of sunlight started to shift around a bit, but there was no clear difference for the two of them. Only anyone looking at the two of them in the sky would see that they no longer appeared to be there. The increase in sunlight really helped to fuel her powers enough to cover them up while she flied. "No one should be able to see us until we land back in the forest," she said to Glacia, "Not enough sunlight in there to cover you up."
Dominic skated down the side walk on his skateboard, and looked up towards the forest just as Glacia shot up and into the sky. Just as he did, he hit a bump in the sidewalk and ended up crashing to the ground. He still stared towards the forest, mesmerized by what has just happened. 'What the heck, did that really just happen?! he thought, but the thought didn't get far enough to process that it was a bad idea to try to find out what it was. He got off of his butt and quickly got back onto his skateboard and went straight towards the forests opening. He stopped at the entrance just as Luke was getting on his bike. "Yo, dude, did you see what just happened over there?" he asked, still looking towards the forest.
then she realized....
"HOLY HEAVEN OF DRAGONS!" nearly dropping Amaterasu
"you can bend sunlight?" Glacia thought that meant only one thing....SHE WAS A SUPERNATURAL BEING!...when she was thinking about it Glacia let the girl slide through her claws. After about 2 seconds of realizing the weight was gone she looked down to see Amaterasu dropping......

And I'll find somewhere for Helena to jump in later. XP))
Luke pedaled his bike out of the forest a bit, stopping closer to the boy who just spoke to him. "Yeah, I totally saw the whole thing! It was so crazy!" He said, nearly falling off the bike in his excitement. He knew there was probably no way to explain everything he had seen in the forest, but adrenaline still rushed through his veins from the experience. He turned his head back towards the forest, thinking about the guy that was possibly still fighting in the forest. I hope he's okay, he thought absently, turning his head towards the sky where the dragon and girl were somewhere flying. He would never be able to get the vision of the girl out of this mind. Remembering that he wasn't alone, he turned back to the boy. "What all did you see?" He asked, wondering how much the other boy had seen.
((Aww, poor Helena. Soon enough!))
Dominic's eyes widened in the excitement of something new and amazing happening. He looked around the sky, trying to see where the dragon had disappeared to, but he couldn't see even a sign of the massive dragon that was suppose to be there. He turned back to Luke as he asked the question and exclaimed, "I saw a dragon shooting up into the sky! I mean, how can that even happen?! But I'm not seeing anyth---" He stopped when the outline of a dragon suddenly showed again and he saw something dropping from right under the dragon, that seemed to have a lot of sun on it. "Woah, what did that thing just drop?" he said, trying to figure out why it was so bright suddenly right in that area.
Hellion dropped back to the ground, and stepped out of view before he became physical again. He felt a little unsteady on his feet, since being spectral drained him, but it was totally worth it.
He closed his eyes, then slid to sitting with his back against a tree, hoping that he could just rest there until nightfall and not get caught by anyone.
Helena laughed as she left the restaurant where she and her 'date' had eaten. The guy had tried to kiss her, and she had kissed him back. What he didn't know was that he had just gotten a big curse laid on him. The next time he went on a date with a girl, the date was sure to end badly. She stretched her invisible wings feathers drifting off and laying tiny blessings and curses on the people they landed on. That was one thing she always hated--her feathers dropped random blessings and curses without her knowing. Thankfully, nothing was ever too serious. Instead of going back to her apartment, Helena decided to just walk around the city.
While walking close to the woods, she heard a male voice mention what sounded to be 'dragon'. She stopped where she stood, trying to catch the entire conversation. Eavesdropping wasn't very angelic, but it wasn't like she cared about that stuff anymore. She caught a glance of movement from high up in the air, and she instantly saw the dragon. She tried not to gasp when she realized what the boys were talking about.
Luke sighed quietly, somehow relieved that the boy didn't see much. Maybe it was because he felt that they wanted their secret to be kept, or maybe because he wanted to keep the secret to himself. He knew that having someone else to share the experience with would be better than keeping it to himself in the long run though. He looked up where the boy was looking, amazed to see the dragon back in the sky. The bright light that seemed to drop from the dragon caught his eye, and he was running before he knew exactly what it was that dropped. The dragon flew into the air with only one thing: the girl. The dragon was still over the forest when the girl dropped, so he knew she would land somewhere in there. Luke barely felt the wind or branches as he ran back into the woods, his thoughts only on making it to the girl before she hit the ground.
She caught her just before the girl hit the ground. Then she flies through the forest and just before reaching the end of it she caught sight of the ghost and 2 boys talking in the far distance......

Amaterasu gasped when Glacia caught her, just barely before they hit the ground. She clung to Glacia tightly, and was breathing heavily. "I swear.... don't you dare drop me again!" she yelled, although her voice was shaking with the rest of her body. "Actually, just.... please put me down," she added, "Enough flying for me." She didn't bother with the illusions at the moment, since she was still to shaky too be able to get a solid illusion going without making their location even more obvious. She looked around and was able to catch sights of the boy from earlier as well one new one running in their direction. She starred for a second, surprised that he was still around there and hadn't run off after Glacia took her up to the sky.
Luke continued to run, noticing the other boy following him. "Sorry, no time to explain! Let's just say a friend of may be in trouble!" He yelled back towards the boy. The dragon thankfully was able to catch the girl, and was slowly dropping altitude. I can't stop now. I've gotten too involved to back out now! he thought, looking ahead as he ran. He himself was amazed at how far he was willing to go for a girl he didn't even know, but every single protagonist in his books did anything for the girl, even fight any villain. There may not be a villain in this story, but he planned to go all the way.
((Ship ship shipity ship~))
Dominic followed after the boy, consumed by the whole curiosity of what was happening in the forest and what all of these people knew about that he didn't. He never really bothered to question the dangerous part of.... well, anything. Part of the reason that he got injured so often, but it never stopped him. "Wait, was that falling thing a person?" he asked, confused, "The shape looked somewhat human, but she definitely did not look like a human." He tried to look better at the form of the girl holding onto the dragon.
Amaterasu leaned her head on Glacia's scales, starting to get a bit dizzy and her face was pretty clearly paler than before, but was feeling better than when she had first gotten caught. "You know... the ground looks really nice right now," she added. She was becoming more aware of the fact that her supernatural being-ness was showing and she couldn't do anything about covering either of them while she was feeling that way. Even the sunlight had started to dim a bit, and not because of the day coming to an end.
