Those are really awesome! I totally love Braviary, it really looks like it has its own character, just not one of a trillion bird Pokemon flying out there. (Like this joke, Mum: "Doctor what is it? Girl or boy?" Doc: "Doesn't matter, it's not a shiny *throws away Pokemon*" If you know what I mean.)

But I wanted to ask, how do you do those Outlines? What program do you use? I tried doing Outlines in Photoshop, but I just can't figure out how to do those clean outlines. (I know that you can make those lines thicker and thinner with a Graphic Tablet. I have one, but well... the pen went missing at my ex-boyfriends house.)

Haha, thanks ^^ I really couldn't think of a good pose for Braviary. I suck with drawing wings, so I decided to do a closeup xP

I use SAI for this :) Using the 'Curve' tool, and the 'Pressure' tool to make lines thinner and thicker. I don't use a tablet, mainly because I don't have one xD

I'm glad you like the outlines c: <3

Alright, thanks a lot for telling me! I will definetely try this out, maybe this weekend.

Oh yes, wings can be difficult to draw, you really have to understand the anatomy of them to properly draw them. Studying bat wings really helped me there.

(No I did not harm any bats XD I just looked at them on Google)

You are making me cry because I have a tablet and my linearts look much worse xD
These are awesome and don't look like you don't have one lol.
Specially that braviary <3 it's amazing girl

About the pressure stuff on SAI I never understood how to use it with vectors :'D

@Saknar - Thanks so much ^^

@Abby - Lol are you serious. I would do anything for a tablet. Everything is so much quicker with one. I'm just really used with this pressure and curve tool on SAI xD I hate it.

Buh thanks sis <3

It's really easy to use once you get the hang of it xP

I actually still have my older one but I need a new erm thing for it. IDK how it's called, but it's the part of the pen that touches the tablet and lets you draw.
Anyway I tried to use that tool twice but on my old computer didn't work like in this one. I mean in the old computer I touched a line and it randomly had another size Oo with this one I can change it as I want.
You should teach me to do linearts with this since it seems like I will never be able to draw lines that don't look shaky. Plus I never really understood the "weight of lines" (what should guide you to make lines thicker and thinner in certain parts)

Actually, there is a great video tutorial here. ^^
And I can explain the 'Pressure' tool.
The Curve & Pressure tool will be both on a Linework layer btw ^^

When you make a line, or anything, with the curve tool, switch to the pressure tool and with that tool, you can make lines thinner and thicker.
Drag on a CP left or right to increase or decrease pressure.
(Drag left = thinner lines) (Drag right = thicker lines)

Oh Toothie I meant I knew how it should work but I never used it. What I meant is I don't know really what lines should be thin and which ones thick xD
Before I started using stabilizers on SAI, I used always vectors on SAI but without pressure so they always looked so plain and I had to use ultra small sizes :p
Thank youuus for the explanation tho ;p I am trying it on a lineart I already had done, just to check which one looks better.

Thin example:
Show hidden content

I make the lines thin if the part doesn't really stand out, or if I'm starting a whole new line without connecting it to another line.
For fur (Like the Mightyena ones), I make the fur tips thin.

Thick example:

Thicker lines for the parts which do stand out. (Like cheeks, blah blah)

My examples suck so bad ~

No they don't lol xD
Thanks for tips stuff, I read a full tutorial on dA and it's more or less what you showed there, except the ears that should be thin at the top peak part and thicker at the part where it gets with the head. But yep I see what you mean there :3 and I also see you don't use 100% black, but dark grey

Haha, xP dA is always there for people who need some help. But you're very welcome .3.
And yep, I fixed the ears a minute after I posted the tips xD thank chu

I prefer to use dark grey instead of black. I don't know why actually xD
