She closed her eyes, trying to still her breathing. She turned to the dragon beside her, who looked like it was something he did daily; which it probably was. The dragon turned its sapphire eyes to look at her. She gulped, her green eyes darting this way and that. The dragon seemed amused.
"Do not fear child, I shall not harm you." It rumbled, clearly a male. She gasped as the dragon began to move farther away from her, and she began to see his majesty. He was as bug as a horse, pale green scales shimmering in the sunset. His blue eyes contrasted well with his pink feathers on to of his head. His tail was long and slender, and ended in three pink feathers, softly changing to white at the end.
