Now the one thing that is really annoying me and has put me off battling on here is the amount of users who are constantly swapping and changing there pokemon trying to get an effective type.

my solution to this is pretty simple but may not be simple to code

to add "Battle Options/Style" like the pokemon games themselves.

extract below

Battle Style is the setting that controls the switching of Pokémon in-between one Trainer's Pokémon fainting. There are two choices: Switch which allows the player to call a different Pokémon when the opposing Pokémon faints, and Set which will have the next Pokémon immediately sent out.

Now Im going to change that up a little bit.

Switch which allows the player to call on a different Pokémon at any time
Set which allows the player to call on a different pokemon when the opposing pokemon faints

Im up for new names since set/switch are kinda weird to have but do describe whats happening quite efficiently.

i support. it really puts me off when the opposing user keeps switching his pokemon. well your suggestion is good but they both ( switch, set ) should be there. we can keep that only a number of switches are allowed.

Sorry of my bad english
I don't belong from completely English speaking country so please forgive my language.

Thank you

Just to clarify - with Switch, the battlers can ONLY switch when it takes a turn, and with Set, the battlers can ONLY switch when they defeat the opponent and this does not take a turn like in the games, right? I ask because, as you said, this is a bit different from the official games and I just want to make sure I'm getting it right before I voice support or a lack thereof. ^^

Yes that is exactly right Carpet.

You will not be penalised a turn when changing pokemon in the Set formation (its the reward of KO'ing the opponents pokemon)

But in this SET function, you can not see the next opposing pokemon to choose a type advantage.
