Prologue

In the year 2014, in the Town of Emera, there was once a boy named CarpetMonster. He was well known for his feats in the HeroChat and even for the owning of the first Zygarde. However, he never let true colors show to those called his friends. In truth, he planned to overthrow the King of PokeHeroes, Riako. Harnessing the power of his Zygarde and MegaAmpharos, he disappeared to the faraway Sky Pillar where he fought Rayquaza for the right to reign there. Defeating the legendary beast with his Dragon-type allies, he claimed the power of the Emerald and the right to rule in the Sky Pillar. Many users united under his power to help overthrow Riako, and thus his dark power grew.

Also in the Town of Emera, was a boy by the name of puppy. Learning of the plot to overthrow Riako, he decided to go on a journey to defeat CarpetMonster once and for all. Joining him on his quest was Senpai, who's allegiance to Riako would never waver. Armed with weapons symbolizing their precious starters, they began their quest to protect the PokeHeroes they knew. On their quest they would encounter many other who wish to defeat CarpetMonster, lending their power to the mighty heroes.

Chapter 1
On Route 53

The heroes of PokeHeroes, Puppy and Senpai, had began their quest by traveling along Route 53. This path was the only clue they had to finding the Sky Pillar where CarpetMonster lay scheming Riako's demise, as the two heroes did not have a Sky Pillar Map. Looking down the path, the Sky Pillar laid far away in front of them.

Each of them carried a special weapon that symbolized their trusted partner Pokemon. Puppy carried a large water cannon strapped upon his back. A special lever could be seen sticking out of the back, and the cannon transformed into a sword when this lever was pulled. Senpai wore a pair of brazen knuckles on her hands, with flint lining the edge. When they were struck together, they lit on fire. With these weapons alone would they protect themselves from the dark forces of CarpetMonster.

At the end of the path, they encountered the dark Forest of Silence. It was named for the bright emerald leaves on the trees, but these same leaves prevented light from touching the forest floor, making the forest a dark and dangerous place for travelers. The forest path was littered with many leaves from the trees, obscuring the sole path of safety through it. This forest was also the lair of several of CarpetMonster's minions. Having heard of the heroes' plans, they would attempt to kill anyone who supported Riako.

Lighting her knuckles, Senpai created a light so the two of them could safely pass through the forest. "Are you sure about this?" She asked Puppy. "A light might give away our location."

"It'll be fine. We've got our weapons," Puppy assured Senpai. "We've got to get through here quickly anyway."

The two heroes ran through the leaf-covered ground that was the forest floor, treading a loud and obvious path through the forest. Puppy ran straight ahead, looking only to the path ahead of them. Senpai, however, glanced to the sides of the path. She knew they would be easily spotted, and kept catching glances of movement in the trees.

All at once, Senpai was knocked to the ground by an attack from behind. The dead leaves on the ground began to catch fire, and Puppy turned around to see what had caused the fire. Behind Senpai, holding a slingshot and crossbow, were two followers of CarpetMonster. Their faces were covered by the cloaks that they wore, but Puppy aimed his cannon at them all the same.

"Step away from Senpai!" He shouted, firing the cannon. The two enemies dodged quickly, jumping through the flames and aiming their weapons for Puppy. Puppy drew the lever, transforming his cannon into the large sword to protect himself. The projectiles bounced off the sword, and Puppy swung for them. They disappeared just as fast as before, appearing again behind Puppy. Noticing the change quickly, he attacked blindly behind himself. While one of the attackers was again able to evade the attack, the other was not so lucky, being knocked out by the attack.

An arrow was then lodged in Puppy's shoulder, having been shot from the other enemy. At this point, the cloak had fallen from his face. Aiming another arrow, was Darkrium. Right before the arrow could be launched, however, a light swift as a lightning bolt came from above and knocked Darkrium to the ground. Knocked unconscious, the mysterious attacker turned towards Puppy. He lifted his sword in a protective stance, but the ninja showed no signs of attacking. Instead, she lifted her own hood and showed her face.

The person responsible for saving Puppy and Senpai's life was ectoBiologist, known as Tina to others. She had donned a ninja suit resembling a Rotom, a Pokemon she was known for having. "You're too slow," Tina scolded. "Any swift enemy can take you out unless you work on your speed!"

"A person takes on skills of their Pokemon. That's why I am how I am," Puppy retorted, putting away his weapon.

Meanwhile, Senpai had managed to get to her feet. "Don't put that away yet! Remember the fire!" Puppy jumped, pulling out his cannon again quickly. He sprayed the cannon's water around everywhere, dousing the fire and the girls as well.

"You little-!" Tina began, swallowing her anger. "What are you doing out here anyway? Anyone aligned with Riako is a big target out here. You'd be dead if it weren't for me."

"We've left Emera in the hopes of defeating CarpetMonster," Senpai explained. "This is the only known way."

"You're going the wrong way then," Tina sighed. "I've been in these woods ever since Carpet left for the Sky Pillar. I know my way around. I'll take you to the edge of the forest, but that's it."

"Can we trust you? What if you plan to kill us instead of helping us?" Puppy asked suspiciously, glaring at Tina

"Would an enemy knock out his own allies? Carpet was my friend, but I only serve Riako. I swear on my life that I will not harm you," Tina said, staring intensely back at Puppy. "Now come on. We're dead meat if the wild Pokemon catch us out here at night. We've only got a few hours."

Tina began to walk through the forest, not looking back to see if the others were following. Puppy and Senpai looked at each other nervously, then followed after Tina. If the only way to stop CarpetMonster was to trust Tina, then they would.

Outside of the forest, in a large meadow of flowers...

A girl sat amongst the flowers, looking into a small crystal. In this crystal, Tina, Puppy, and Senpai could be seen walking through the forest.

"Oh? So they are coming this way? That's perfect..." The girl said. Her hair fluttered in the wind, the flower falling from it. Frowning slightly, she placed another Gracidea in its place. "That's better," she smiled, turning back to the crystal that showed the ones she believed to be the saviors...

Note: I changed Emera Forest to Silent Forest, that way I could incorporate an actual area on PokeHeroes.

Chapter 2
Silent Forest

"This is as far as I'll take you," Tina said, stopping abruptly at the end of the path. Beyond the forest a large field spanned out for miles, flowers swaying in the wind. "Beyond here is the Windy Prairie. I'm not responsible for you once you go out there."

"Thank you anyway," Senpai said, elbowing Puppy.

"Yeah, thanks," He said quickly.

"Go on then. I know someone out there who should be able to help you somewhat," Tina said, smiling gently. "She isn't strong when it comes to fighting, but she's got some amazing powers of her own."

"Thank you again!" Senpai said, leaving the shade of the forest. "We'll defeat CarpetMonster, you can count on it!" She began to run forward into the field, Puppy chasing behind her. With no trees hiding the sun and sky, they both could see the direction they were headed. The sunset cast an orange flow on the land, dyeing the Sky Pillar shades of orange, pink, and violet. No clear path was cut through the prairie, so they simply ran straight towards their destination.

As they ran, a scream could be heard out across the entire field. Turning towards the sound, the heroes saw a group of people surrounding a girl. One of these people held her around her neck, pressing a dagger into it slowly.

"Surely someone with your talents would join CarpetMonster. You don't have any direct ties with Riako, now do you?" The man said, pressing the dagger harder.

"I-I won't!" The girl said, resisting his hold on her neck.

Without waiting, Puppy grabbed and fired his cannon at the attackers, blasting three of them across the prairie. While Puppy began to close the gab between them, Senpai had already reached them with her knuckles lit. She wasted no time in rescuing the girl, lighting the enemies' clothing on fire as she punched. The two attempted to tear off their burning raiments, but they were knocked out by Puppy's sword before they could save themselves.

The only person left was the man who held the girl captive, which by closer inspect was Shaymin. Her face and arms were covered in bruises and cut, most likely from her attacker. Dark eyes glinted from beneath the hood, and Shaymin quickly yanked the back of the hood off of him. Beneath the hood, Shaymin's attacker was RedLightningBolt. He pressed the dagger closer to Shaymin's neck, drawing blood.

"Step away from her!" Puppy yelled, swinging his sword. Red ducked, but was unable to avoid the hard jab to the gut. The blade pierced his skin, forcing him to drop Shaymin. She coughed as she dropped to the ground, blood seeping slowly from her wounds. Red held his gut, choking out blood as he lay on the ground.

"CarpetMonster knows what you're planning. You won't be able to stop him," He barely said. Before he could utter any more words, Puppy had already thrust his sword through Red's chest. He fell to the ground, eyes blank but menacing. Puppy's own eyes showed no emotion, no mercy.

"I won't allow anyone to get in our way," He said, pulling his sword out. "I don't want my friends to be hurt."

Shaymin stared at Puppy and Red, fear in her eyes. Senpai rushed over to her, treating her wounds. "Don't worry about me. Let me heal your wounds," Shaymin said quietly. Her hands began to glow a soothing green color, erasing Senpai's wounds like they never existed. Next, she slowly moved over to Puppy. He had already put his weapon away, and was staring at the lifeless body of Red. "Let me heal your wounds too," Shaymin said, beginning to heal his wounds.

"You really wanna come near me? After that?" Puppy asked, looking towards Shaymin.

"You saved my life. They were going to kill me," Shaymin replied, finishing her healing. Her own wounds had ceased bleeding, although they still showed.

"You should heal your own wounds. They won't heal right like this," Puppy said, wiping some of the blood off of her face.

"I'll be fine. I need to recharge," Shaymin sighed, her hands no longer glowing. "You should come with me though, there's something I need to show you."

Farther into the Prairie...

"This, is where I've been living for the past few weeks," Shaymin said, gesturing to the field where she led Puppy and Senpai. In the flower-filled field, a small tent and fire pit had been set up. Shaymin walked inside the tent, coming back out with a teal-colored crystal. "This crystal lets me see the future and present of other people. I've been watching you two for a while."

"You've been, watching us?" Senpai asked curiously.

"Yes, I was sure the two of you could save us all," Shaymin replied, smiling sheepishly. She waved her hand over the crystal, and it changed to show Puppy and Senpai conversing with two other people on a beach.

"That's... us!" Puppy exclaimed. "Is that the future?"

"Yep. I'm sure that's Bright Beach, past the Rocky Cave," Shaymin said, looking intently at the crystal. "You need to go there soon. I'm absolutely certain that they'll help you."

"How can we be sure though?" Senpai asked. "So many people have joined CarpetMonster. We don't know who those people are either."

"Don't worry. I've got a plan already. I can only see so far into the future, but I can warn you of danger," Shaymin assured them. "Notice all the Gracidea flowers around here? There are Shaymin too. I'll send one to you when I see danger coming."

"Let's go then. We've nothing to fear-" Puppy began, walking off towards the Sky Pillar again, before being stopped by Senpai.

"It's getting dark you nut. I say we spend the night here. We need to save our energy," Senpai sighed, while Shaymin laughed lightly behind them.

"That's the best idea. I've got food here, so feel free to rest up," Shaymin agreed, moving to retrieve some food from the tent.

"We'll leave in the morning, okay?" Senpai said to Puppy, punching him lightly in the arm.

"Fine, but we still need to hurry," He agreed. Taking off their weapons, they both sat down in front of the fire pit, lighting it as Shaymin came out with the food...

Here's a hard part... Putting Riako in there without exposing him to the danger of CarpetMonster. Got this covered!

Chapter 3
Emera Town

Back in Emera Town, away from most threats of CarpetMonster, the citizens who had not left town were preparing for a war that could very well happen. In the middle of this project, stood Riako with the help of his trusted moderators and other staff. As the threat of CarpetMonster's forces had become common knowledge, it had become Riako's task to protect those still loyal to him.

The current plan was one of defense; they would fight to protect themselves only. Users who volunteered would battle those who fought with CarpetMonster. Many brave knights had appeared to defend PokeHeroes, while the rest would serve as support through healing and building defense structures. Although these preparations were coming along quickly, every few nights someone would come and destroy one of the structures. News of the spy passed quickly among everyone, even though Riako had insisted that wasn't the case.

"We've got to get this under control," Riako sighed, frustrated. He was at the planning table within a tent near the edges of Emera. The only person with him was AutumnStar, one of the moderators.

"The only way to stop this would be to set up some sort of guard; have someone stand out all night keeping watch," AutumnStar replied, deep in thought.

"Go find someone. We won't be able to last through CarpetMonster's attack if this doesn't stop soon," Riako said, determination gleaming in his eyes.

"I'm sure I know some people who could do the job," AutumnStar assured him. He quickly left the tent in search of those people.

-----Night 1-----

For the first night, one young man stood beside the structure that was finished the most recently. This was supposedly the one that would be targeted next, and so he stood guard with it. On the other side of the structure, another young person had just finished the final adjustments for the sabotage. Carefully sneaking behind the guard, they stabbed a knife through his heart, killing him instantly. Cutting a rope, they ran off as the entire structure began to topple on top of the guard.

-----The Next Morning-----

As the many workers left their houses to begin the day's work, they found that once again the spy had destroyed another building.

"What about the guard?" Riako asked AutumnStar, who had finished digging through the rubble to find the guard's body.

"He must've been caught underneath the structure as it fell. I don't see any other ways it could've happened," AutumnStar explained. He looked closely at the stab wound in the guard's chest. A brick or stick couldn't have made the wound, only an actual weapon. He kept this to himself, however.

"We need to set up another guard. We need to catch this saboteur," Riako sighed, holding his head. If the guards were killed every night, then no one would be able to stop CarpetMonster from taking the town.

-----Night 2-----

The second guard AutumnStar asked for was a young woman this time. Standing beside the wooden structure that would be a small, makeshift hospital, she guarded that night. Inside the building, the spy was finishing pouring oil around the inside. Jumping out what would've been a window, they stabbed the guard in the same place as the night before. Throwing the lifeless body into the building, they lit a match and tossed it into the building. Walking away from the explosion that followed, they didn't look back like he was the raddest villain ever.

-----The Next Morning-----

At this point, everyone in all of Emera knew that the hospital building had burned in an explosion. All except LightningOddy, who had somehow slept through the entire thing.

"How can we catch someone who kills all of our guards?" AutumnStar asked Riako. "No one else wants to guard. Things won't get any better like this!"

"I didn't want it to come to this, but I've got an idea. I'll be the guard. You stand watch over me, and we'll both watch for him," Riako replied. Despite this dangerous situation, Riako was eager to stop the spy.

"If that's your plan, then I can't stop you. I'll help you, but there's no certainty you won't come out unscathed," AutumnStar warned.

"I know this, and I'm prepared," Riako finished, walking away. Sighing, AutumnStar followed.

-----The Last Night-----

The final structure to be guarded, a wooden lookout tower, was surrounded by Riako and AutumnStar. Riako stood at the base of the tower, where the spy was most likely to strike. AutumnStar watched from the top, where he could quickly fire an arrow from the crossbow that he carried.

From the inside of the tower, however, would the saboteur emerge. Climbing up the stairs on the inside, they came up to the very top where AutumnStar was prepared to snipe. The spy drove their knife into AutumnStar's chest, only to find that the knife was instead embedded within a wooden doll made to look like Autumn. An arrow was then shot into the spy's shoulder, knocking them off of the tower completely.

Riako jumped as the body landed a few feet away from where he was standing, but ran towards the still-breathing body. Below the hood that she wore to hide herself, was amadea. Many bones were broken, but her heart still beat,

"You won't be able to defeat CarpetMonster..." Amadea croaked, struggling with each word. As she finished her sentence, her breathing slowed, coming to a complete stop. The spy was dead, but at the cost of two other lives and many of the defense structures. Although this Los was great, the gain from having the spy stopped would be greater. With this, defense preparations could be safely finished and hope could spread once again throughout the town...

End of Chapter 3

So um... Maybe I don't got it. Riako's alive though, right? Although I know none of you thought of that ending. ;)
Sorry though, Amadea. I killed you pretty quick. You'll be remembered as Amadea the Saboteur though.
