Chapter Zero: Home Again

A young Zorua scampered after his sister, a tall Zoroark. A bag was slung over her shoulder as they walked. Kage stumbled as he walked. "Can we stop, sister?" he asked. He was tired and wanted to sleep. But Yami didn't pause. "Soon. We're almost there." the Zoroark responded. She picked up Kage and set him in her red hair.
The two moved along through the dark swamp, until they came to the opening of a cavern. "We're here." Yami said and entered the tunnel. At the end was a tunnel, blocked off by crystals. It was barely big enough for Kage to slip through, but Yami knew she wouldn't fit her leg in there.
"Who goes there?" a voice called out. A glaring red eye peeked out from the hole. The creature examined the pokemon in front. "Where is Kage?" the creature asked. Yami pulled Kage out. At once, the crystals slid away, revealing a underground paradise.
Grass spread across the stone, and water pooled in a dip from multiple streams that emerged from holes. Trees and stumps littered the area, as well as berry bushes, and more crystals.
"We're here, Kage."
"We're home again."
