As far as favorite Pokemon goes, I am among the many Eevee lovers. The concept always intrigued me as a child and I would have active debates with myself on which one to evolve the one I got in Yellow since I didn't have a way to trade for the others at the time. I've never really been into the competitive side of things, and would rather bring my favorites to a battle and have fun with it than to actually focus on beating an opponent. On the actual game side of things? I'm more into a couple of the spin-offs than the main series. Snap, Colosseum and Ranger are my all-time favorites, and I would love to see them remake at least one of the Colosseum games for the Switch. And probably the most controversial thing I feel about the games? I actually like the idea that you can't transfer all your pokemon from game to game. Yes, yes, I know that's going to get a lot of you looking at me funny. To me, the whole point of a new region is to make a new character and explore the new world around you. A region that logically would not contain 700+ Pokemon, and if the trainers you battle in that region wouldn't typically see it there, I see no reason to break what little emersion Pokemon has left in its games. So yeah, that's my poke-thoughts on things. Feel free to agree or disagree in the comments below and let me know your thoughts on these points. [Read more] |
