I assume this answer will just be "You're really unlucky sorry" but on the off chance it's not...Besides the good rod do I need anything to catch a Shellder at the beach? Like does bait attract them at all? I only wonder because I've caught about 200 pokemon first available with the good rod now. And none of them have been Shellder. I covet that next rod but it seems forever out of the reach of my sticky little fingers.

Where can you find or purchase a mega stone? I see that you can boil one on the gem cauldron but I'm a long way off from that still. Is it available at the item shop, or in treasure boxes, can I find it rumbling, would it be in a mystery box? I've seen them on the exchange but I don't think I'll be able to afford one for a while still. I recently got a megable pokemon (exciting!!) and I'm looking to focus on the best way to obtain the stone for it.
