Moltres is one pokemon type fire

Its name derives from molten (melted) and three (number, since it is the third legendary bird); while Japanese name is a romanization of the English "Fire" (Fire).

In French the name Sulfura seems a union of sulfure words (sulfide in English or French) and Ra (sun god in Egyptian mythology)

Moltres is a huge bird yellowish, with a flaming crest on the head. Its wings and tail are engulfed in flames (It closely resembles a phoenix).

It is one of the three legendary birds. It was created, like Articuno and Zapdos, to maintain the balance of the climate caused by heat, hence that Articuno and Moltres have a special hatred.
